(We've got some cure wounds but the pots are probably a better choice given our likelihood of a long rest before we escape. Expecting a bout at the top of those stairs.
"I could do with a long rest", says Thar "for I have used half my spells. If we are to rest I could cast Leomund's Tiny Hut (as a Ritual) which would give us 8 hours of safety and save the healing potions for another time."
"I can do the firy hands trick too," states Gijigume. "Let me shoot a few from the edge of the room, switching to me sword when they close in, and once there's enough, we can burn 'em," he suggests

“I say we leave the beetles alone, what did they ever do to you. We can use the room of the ex-monks to rest.” Arya
"Very well, shall we clear this infestation first?"
(Circadian rhythm... Are we tired? Would we expect night to have fallen on the surface?)
You entered the “bad cave” in early afternoon. Since then you’ve had some adventures and two short rests so it would be getting close to evening outside. Setting up camp for the “night” would be appropriate.
You have your rest inside the Tiny Hut and exit refreshed. Has anything wandered by while you rested? 8 No.
Back at the room with the beetles. Arya is of the opinion that you can just cross the room as long as you stay away from the bugs.
DM Note: You can, what you have to do is make a skill check DC 10 from the following options to make it across without trouble Acrobatics or Animal Handling or Insight or Intimidation or Perception or Stealth. Each one offers a different way of avoiding trouble. If you can make a case for how another skill would work as well then go right ahead.
He looks over the room trying to find a clear path... He looked over his allies... Gijigume and Igneous could probably bound across the room without touching the ground. Arya could cross without a sound. Thar... He could probable turn himself into a cat or something... What could Fah'lin do here? Aeliarin was probably in the same boat. If the bugs would listen to reason he could persuade them to let him pass... Unlikely.
He takes a careful and cautious step watching the bugs carefully as he crosses (Perception: 23)
Thar will endeavour to cross using Perception 5 to avoid the beetles.
And part way across it seems he stepped on one. "Might need some help here!"
The beetle bumps up against Thar and its feelers run over him to see if he is edible. Owly flies down to distract it as an arrow comes in 20 making it quite dead. "Move!" hisses Arya.
To get this finished Aeliarin uses his quite good acrobatics skill and a Guidance spell to cross the room 11
"There are a couple of unused beds right back there."
As the ground rumbles beneath our feet.

Fah'lin casts Cure Wounds placing a hand on Igneous shoulder, healing 10 hit points.
"Well they stood between us and what may be the exit. And they were here in an underground death trap, so that speaks to their character...
We can fight now and sleep after or vice versa, but I'm not anticipating we'll stroll through there unmolested tomorrow."
