Onizos cracks his knuckles and proclaims confidently,
“A poem? I do love a good poem, and this one’s easy! Why, we saw a depiction of the answer as we passed the theatrical performances not long ago. These birds are named Catha and Ruidus.”
(see post #99)
(Onizos would have lingered a bit watching the plays, so I figure he got this one easily)
Yabo was in the process of pointing out a scarlet he got from his own claws when he wasn't paying attention, but Oni pipes up with a confident answer, and he turns to see how the goblin weighs the satyr's attempt at solving it.

Igreis watches as they answer the riddles, listening closely as the rest of the group gives their answers. Since it.seems that they have a good grasp on the first two, he quietly waits to hear what the third could possibly be.
"Correct! You are a sharp group. That's two successes and you've earned your prize but, I suspect that you'll be able to solve my last riddle as well"
He guides you over to the final table. On this table is a row of seven small bottles filled with colored liquids, and the following riddle in Common:
Two of us are brewed from blight And always sat to purple’s right. Three are juice, one burns like flame, And no two colors taste the same. Even flasks hold naught but pain, And shade of sky will leave a stain. Though tasty are those at each end, Neither is the winner’s friend. A puzzle for the keen and wise, Drink the light to claim your prize.
Gan looks at the riddle carefully and at all of the flasks.
”This is like when them scam artists try to bamboozlize you out of your coppers by sounding all clever like.”
Gan counts out the even numbered flasks and shakes his head at those. He touches the two flasks at either end and shakes his head at those. Then looks at the sky and then back to the flasks then back to the sky and to the flasks again.
Finally he nods, reaches forward and takes the purplish flasks with the long neck (#5) and takes a sip, closing his eyes tight as he does.
Igreis waits to see what happens before he reaches out to take a bottle if something strange happens to Gan. He doubts it would ne anything bad but the practical experience of being a soldier keeps his hand in place.
Gan, as you down the potion you feel a warmth settle in your stomach. As you set down the bottle, you notice a slight glow around your hand. On further investigation you realize your whole body is glowing with a dim silvery light.
"Correct! You found the glow potion, a traditional drink of Jigow." Elder Colbu Kaz exclaims, " Congratulations! You are the first team to solve all three in one try. Quite impressive"
He hands a tin fox head medal over to the team.
Medal of Wit You can press this medal to your temple as an action. Doing so gives you advantage on Intelligence checks and Intelligence saving throws for 1 hour. Once this property has been used, it can’t be used again, and the medal becomes nonmagical.
Galsariad approaches the group, "I see Your cunning is a cut above that of everyone else in this backwater. I think it likely we'll be meeting in the finale. I look forward to testing my wits against you."
"They pit two teams against each other. It changes every year, usually a race of sorts. I've heard rumors that it will take place in the grottos south of town this year"
Tortoise herding starts in an open paddock on the east side of town. Arm wrestling is nearby in the Jumble, Maggie and Dermot were headed that way. The swimming is south of here in the Ifolon river, they mentioned their friend Ayo was there and Galsariad went that way after the riddles.

"What's scarlet?" Gan asks. "Is that like a small scar?"
Gan raises an eyebrow looking around at the others.

“And nay, my diminutive dragonfriend, scarlet here means the color of blood.”
(I mean, I hope that’s the right answer, I’m pretty sure…)

Baetrix will take the horizonback baby tooth and be looking it over when Onizos answers the second riddle. She nods in agreement.

"To win here, you must drink from the correct bottle. But you only get two tries!"
Yabo holds up both hands in front of him, just to check his right and left.

Medal of Wit
You can press this medal to your temple as an action.
Gan gives Galsariad a deep bow.
"We ain't all just pretty faces," Gan says. "You's been friendly and all so I might almost feel bad when we beat you."
He then looks around at the others.
"What's next? The turtle thing?"
((It was one Medal of Wit for the team yes, not one each, right? If that's the case, Gan will slip it into his pouch for safe keeping))
Onizos thanks Galsariad and asks,
“What is the nature of the finale anyway?”
"They pit two teams against each other. It changes every year, usually a race of sorts. I've heard rumors that it will take place in the grottos south of town this year"
Onizos will do a little tapdance on his cloven hooves while saying,
"A race over rocky terrain, you say? I look forward to it. I wonder what the grand prize is?"
Gan looks around for directions to their next even.
"What was it? Turtle herding?" Gan asks. "That sounds . . . slow."
((There was only one medal of wit for the team))
Tortoise herding starts in an open paddock on the east side of town. Arm wrestling is nearby in the Jumble, Maggie and Dermot were headed that way. The swimming is south of here in the Ifolon river, they mentioned their friend Ayo was there and Galsariad went that way after the riddles.
