Baetrix will sling her heavy crossbow and join Yabo on the beach to help harvest the shark.
"I've never had shark before," she says, nibbling a sliver of the flesh. She raises her eyebrows in appreciation. "I'll tend to this. I'm sure you have a prize to gather back on the dock, oh mighty swimmer," she says with a friendly smile.
All the contestants, except for Ayo, do thank everyone who helped eliminate the sharks. They are mostly happy to get out of the turbulent waters safely. Ayo stands resolutely, though, arms crossed as she awaits Omo's verdict.
Omo looks back and forth as everyone makes their case. Onizos, make a Deception check (DC10) to convince Omo that the human must have actually just missed the shark (we'll assume you dropped the illusion and it's not still floating out there)
Igreis rolls his eyes and moves away from the blood hunter with a small chuckle. Be let's his own magic fade, the vibrant flames no longer surrounding those affected by it. "On to the next event I would say."
Omo frowns as she contemplates what to do. "Why do I always get the troublemakers. I'm sure Agathe doesn't have to deal with this type of thing from pie eaters" after a moment of thought, "Since there was clearly outside interference, either from nature or otherwise, I must report this as a draw for scoring towards the grand finale. But honestly.... it's the last race of the day so you can have these if you really want, that way I don't have to deal with returning them to Elder Ushru"
He offers each of the swimmers a medal made of small bits of sea glass on a string:
Medal of the Conch
When you use an action to rub this medal, you gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed for 1 hour. Once this property has been used, it can’t be used again, and the medal becomes nonmagical.
Baetrix sidles up to the group, arms full of raw shark.
"You are as wise as you are strong, Master Yabo," she says with a grin for the tortle. Apparently, Baetrix greatly enjoyed filleting and eating a new flavor of meat and it has put her - temporarily - in a cheerful mood.
Onizos examines the shark meat and arches an eyebrow at Baetrix.
“You eat that raw? Why not cook some, I’d love to try it as well. In fact, I could go for a bit of a rest before the finale. Obviously we’ll be chosen, of that I have no doubt. But meantime I’d love to sample your shark meat roasted over a fire.”
Ayo softens and responds to Yabo, "You must have been under for a long time, quite impressive. I understand not wanting race against me" She smirks as Galsariad approaches, "We'll be walking to the paddocks for the finale announcement now, you all should join us. My name is Ayo Jabe, I've put together an elite group of adventurers that I could introduce you to. Before we get selected for the final and punch our ticket out this mudpit, that is"
"This is is Galsariad Ardyth, smartest wizard in the Kryn Dynasty", she says gesturing to the drow.
"And Dermot is the tallest cleric" Galsariad responds sarcastically. He bows to you, "We've met"
"Smartest and tallest, eh?" Gan says. "Sometimes you is be wanting the ones with the strongest stomach and the ones willing to throw dirt in your eye if things get real messy like."
He then gestures for Ayo to lead on.
"And yeah, I'm with Oni there. Cook the shark," Gan says to Beatrix. "I ain't needing no worms. Again."
Igreis raises a brow at the wizard, looking him over to see if he can recognize the other drow. His gaze moves to Beatrix, giving her a look to watch what she says as he clearly understands what is said. He responds to her in Undercommon.
"Before you try to use a different language to insult someone you should problem avoid using one a lot of people can speak.... Unless you wanted to be heard."
Baetrix gives a mocking courtsey to Igreis, and says (in Undercommon):
Undercommon is a coarse language. Good for saying coarse things. I am glad you speak it. I would never intentionally insult you without your knowledge.
She squints her eyes in suspicion and seems to ask a question in an entirely fouler language (Infernal):
Do you speak the devil-tongue?
After a moment, she asks everyone, "What languages do you all speak? Common, obviously, but what others? Igreis and I seem to both know Undercommon. I also know infernal, thanks to training of my father."

Deception check, I rolled a 4+5 = 9
Apprently Onizos forgot to drop the illusion in a timely manner, making it all a bit more suspicious.
Igreis rolls his eyes and moves away from the blood hunter with a small chuckle. Be let's his own magic fade, the vibrant flames no longer surrounding those affected by it. "On to the next event I would say."

Gan smiles at the compromise from the judge.
"We should have interferenced every event," Gan whispers to Onizos.
He then looks around for the others, focusing on Igreis when he mentions moving on to the next event.
"What's left?" Gan asks the Igreis.
Onizos whispers back, “Oh, I have been!”
"Thanks!", Yabo says, proudly putting the charm around his neck.
"Ho'e there's no hard feelings, a'out how the race ended.", he says to Ayo. "Figured I couldn't swi' faster than you, so had to race s'arter."

Onizos whispers to Gan again, but intentionally loud enough to be overheard by others nearby,
“There’s a sentence you don’t hear every day, Yabo doing something smarter.”
Yabo taps the side of his head with a claw and nods sagely.

Baetrix mumbles something under her breath in Undercommon:
"Weak-bellied Kryn-folk. A hunter always eats a bit raw. Makes you fierce..."
But she wraps the shark in seaweed and will keep an eye out for a seafood vendor, restaurant, or inn close to wherever the party ends up next.
Is Onizos able to squeeze in a short rest somewhere?
