Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1) DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
I'm back, sry for kinda being off the grid for a few days it's been wild IRL, its a shame I missed out on some great RP opportunities. for the sake of simplicity Filtch stayed with the group during their time at Suns last light. though was closed off socially especially their time at the Tavern which seemed to be digging up something painful for him, but set off with the group when it was time to get back on the trail.
"Agreed, whatever comes our way, i'm sure it'll be nothing a quick brawl can't take care of."

Zanthin Abrax | N/G | Human | 6th lv Wizard | Lore master | "I'd tell you how astronomically dull you truly are, but I'd need to visit the far realm just to find the words to do so."
"Okay then." Pip says, looking up the heavily armoured paladin. "Just don't make too much clanky noises in that there chain mail." He then looks to the others. "If we're going down there, there could be other things beyond the giants. Those big snakes hang out in the tall grass and underbrush, and there's some game creatures. I even heard rumours of a basilisk at one point, but never had any real records of one. If we keep together and help each other, we should be good." Pip pulls the straps on his bag tighter. "If we're ready to go, I'll try and take us through the safest pass."
(OOC: I would like to do a group Stealth roll. So everyone makes a Stealth check for us and describe if they are doing anything to help them as they scurry between the openings using the foliage and hilly bumps to keep out of the view of any potential threats. Based on a pass/fail ratio is how the party does)
Fjorgin attempts to follow the lead of those ahead of him, but being stealthy does not come so naturally to him.

Thea tries to adapt Liavyres and Pips professional scouting habits, always focussing on trying to cower down and making as few noises as possible.
Stealth 11
OOC: I just noticed that the nomadic mind focus mind be a bit too strong. I'd try out using it for situations like this, but i feel like we might need to limit it otherwise it would be possible to switch this focus and pretty much always gain proficiency with the skill we're about to roll for. As for this case, i'd just switch the focus to nomadic mind and gain proficiency with Stealth.
Should anything try to start a surprise attack, thea's got the defensive step ready as a reaction, and would in case of success try to get ahead with the teleport.
Liavyre says to the group after hearing Pip, "This probably obvious, but anyone with heavy armor should be mindful of their marching order and shouldn't advance too far forward. Pip is correct, it is quite unnatural sounding in nature." (Heavy armor of any kind grants disadvantage on stealth)
Liavyre pauses and says to the group and Pip especially, "I feel it's important that I share this... If we absolutely need to be aware of certain types of monsters nearby—I can sense them within a 1 mile radius, or up to 6 miles in a forest. I cannot tell how many or their exact position, but I can tell if they are in the area. This works for aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, and undead. I have to be careful with its use, it limits my combat abilities. Please remember this because it may come in handy in a pinch, either for tracking or to hide."
She noticea Thea mimicking her tracking movements and says, "Yes, you catch on quickly. Using foliage from the surrounding terrain helps too." She puts her hand on the back of Thea's shoulder with approval.
Then incorporates the surrounding flora into her armor, removing the stuff from leaving town.
Primeval Awareness
Beginning at 3rd level, you can use your action and expend one ranger spell slot to focus your awareness on the region around you. For 1 minute per level of the spell slot you expend, you can sense whether the following types of creatures are present within 1 mile of you (or within up to 6 miles if you are in your favored terrain): aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, and undead. This feature doesn’t reveal the creatures’ location or number.

Stealth: 19
Canary has practice being a fly on the wall, with the whole mute thing, so stealthing comes pretty naturally to the short man. He scouts a little bit ahead of the group, trying to see if he can spot anything.
The group begins to make their way into the undergrowth and various plants to use as cover as they journey into the large dip of a valley in these hills. There are a couple of narrow escapes from drastic noises of people stepping on large twigs or rustling the bushes. The group seems to make it to half way through the valley, keeping a little ground higher than where the small lake is, when Pip stops the group.
"Look..." He says quietly, pointing out towards one of the nearby bushes, about 50 feet away. Behind it appears to be the huge form of a dozing hill giant, its huge belly poking up above the foliage. "It's one of the giants. Seems to be asleep." Pip looks to the others. "We should try and sneak around while it's sleeping, unless you wanna try and take it down before it gives us away."
It takes Thea a moment to process the unfamiliar sight. After a moment of jaw-dropped staring at the lifting and loweing of the huge belly, accompanied by infernally loud snoring, she regains her composure and turns to the others. "Pip, please be honest. What are the odds of us taking down that thing without causing any commotion? I highly dislike having our backs exposed to a threat like this, but while i might be underestimating our numbers, i don't believe we can make quick work outta that..."
"I don't know, I've never fought one." Pip replies, completely sincere. "I've only seen 'em this close a couple of times before, and I usually hide. I couldn't take one myself, and they use a whole tree as a club." He looks to the others. "With seven of us, it's different. It'd be harder for us not to wake it up."
Thea takes a quick moment while Pip is explaining the situation to the others to look around. She can see about 200 feet away a couple of ogres are down the hill, currently arguing over a dead deer that they are playing tug-of-war with. They seem to be busy with their own argument, but could potentially be a threat if something too obvious were to grab their attention.
"I say we kill the giant. It's lying down, asleep. By the time it notices us, it will already have a hole in its throat."

Filtch pokes his head into the small huddle now forming at the front of the group.
"oy' usually I'd say that It would take one hell of a ruckus to wake one of them big ones however, I reckon that if the last hundred meters or so is anything to go upon then we might just be one hell of a ruckus. So I'm with the dwarf might as well be done with it while we have the advantage, though that thing would need to be mighty generous just lying there, with a hide like that we an't just sliten it's throat and going our merry way. I can probably sneak up blind fold the brute, or just straight up jam both my blades into its eye sockets, after that should be easy pickings."
