There is a massive *KABOOM* as the smite strikes the skeleton of the snake. If anyone was still asleep at the camp, they definitely are not now. The merchant stumbles and falls into the bush he was just watering in shock from the sound wave that emanated barely 20 feet behind him.

Filtch dashes in with his flurry of blade strikes, the first scrapes away from the skeletal spine of the beast. It twists almost instinctively from the blow as his second and third strikes cut into the vertebrae of the snake's bones. The weapons cut through, apparently severing the serpent. However, when he looks at his handiwork, there is a shroud of energy still present, like a ligament made of eerie blackness, holding the body together still. However, it appears that the energies have finite capability, as there is strain within the necrotic energies.

Liavyre's arrow strikes into the skeletal snake's form, lodged into the side of its face as Canary unleshes a flurry of attacks with his hands and feet, using his weapon as support and ready to parry after his strikes crumble the previously targeted vertebrae, leaving thin strands of necrotic energy as its only way of holding its two parts together.
Thea reaches out with her innate talent, and sees that there is no mind to defend against her mind thrust.

"What in the nine hells was that!?" The guard with the spear says, looking at the defeated snake. "Never seen a snake like that before."
People can see that others were rushing over to the group, only to find that the threat has been dealt with as the first rays of light appear on the horizon. It appears Pelor is pleased with your deeds this morning.
For those who are paying attention, the merchant appears to have gotten stuck in the bush, its thorns grabbing onto his silken robe as he is shouting out for some assistance. "Someone get me out of this wretched bush. Damned be should this tear even the slightest hole in this robe."

Liavyre retrieves one of her arrows, holds her longbow with her left hand and makes her way over to the merchant.
She draws one of her shortswords and cuts the thorns away with her right hand, freeing his robe. She sheaths it and says, "Always be on your guard. You were lucky this time."
Liavyre does a quick scan to see if there's any other dangers:
Perception 13
Walking to the group, she puts down her longbow with her pack, then takes out a sprig of mistletoe from her pack in her left hand, touches it with her right, and says, "Gâl." Ten berries suddenly grow from the mistletoe and fills her hands as she cups them.
The merchant takes a few seconds to regain his composure, brushing his silk night gown to ensure none of the thorns had caused any tears. He then looks to Liavyre, "My thanks, miss." He says, looking fairly annoyed with the situation, but not going to push it. "Perhaps I should've hired you instead of those bumbling kids." He looks back to where the guards are investigating the snake corpse.
Looking at the snake's corpse, the skin and flesh of the snake have been shredded by the hundreds of ribs when its skeleton wrenched out. There is a large bloody pool with piles of dead snake lying there. The bones seem to crack beyond the damage that was dealt by the group with their weapons, as the smashed skull appears to almost turn to powder.
"By the light..." The guard with the crossbow says, wandering over. "What dark powers made it into Allhaven?"
The other guards are on high alert, some coming over to check on the party to see who is wounded and assist with first aid (unless healing spells or Lay on Hands wish to be used). The others keep on guard around the caravan to make sure nothing else is waiting for them.
LIavyre doesn't notice any further threats in the immediate area. However, it does appear that the bee hive is having some activity. They may've been disturbed by the thunderclap Fjorgin's thunderous smite.
Liavyre says to him in a polite tone, "Those bumbling kids performed their duty in protecting you as well as helping us. I wouldn't take their service for granted."
She says to no one in particular after scanning the area since everyone is on high alert, "I do not see anymore potential threats. Other than those bees again, probably from the commotion." She will move away from the bees if she's near them.
The guards also confirm they don't spot any other immediate threats.
Liavyre can tell that the bees should settle down after a few moments, assuming nobody goes close to their hive as they might see that as whomever agitated them in the first place.

"Quick, get the others!" The guard yells to the others as he unleashes another bolt from his light crossbow at the beast.
