A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
“SHUT UP PEASANT, IF YOU DO NOT STOP, THERE WILL BE NO OPTIONSSS AT ALL. DROP YOUR WEAPON! NOW, DAMN YOU!” Kasbis glares at him and his slightly forked tongue juts out, a feature that tries to hide usually but tends to be seen when he is very angry or has lost control of his emotions.

Kasbis backs up a little further and motions for Duncan and Hrathen to step back. He turns his head sideways and looks at the woman. “Ellesia, is it? Speak your thoughts. And Willoughby, what say you? Is there any way this can end without further bloodshed?” He looks back to the veteran with steely yellow slitted eyes and says “Or am I going to have to burn you down to the ground in a pile of cinders…”

Duncan stands his attacks after the last two cut into the man and grimaces, but keeps him within range ready to take him down should the ‘negotiations’ not go well.
Hrathen backs off, holding his mace up and ready. "All must pay for their crimes. If we let him go, there must be a punishment. Leaving behind his weapon and posessions would be acceptable."

Ellessia says "Don't let him go. Not until I confirm something" she then investigate the dead leader's body and his pack. She pulls out box inlaid with pearls. She then looks to her father "What are you doing out here. You are too old for traipsing in the desert alone"
Willoughby says "I was looking for you ... you fool"
Ellesia responds "We'll talk later"She the turns to the Raider Veteran. "You can go, but I agree leave your weapons and never come back."
The Raider veteran spits on the ground "Deal, but you better watch your backs from now on" He places his sword and scabbard on the ground and then he turns and walks away.
Willoughby walks up to Ellesia with an angry look They both glare at each other for a moment before embracing
Ellesia pushes Willoughby back "Father I am not going back. That life is not for me."
Willoughby lets a out a heavy sigh "I know now, but you don't have to do it alone. I am going with you whether you like or not"
Ellesia tears up a bit "Don't worry papa I will find us a new home somewhere out here"
Willoughby turns to the party "Thank you for saving my daughter. I don't know how I can repay each of you"
Seeing the touching scene unfold, it tugs at the exactly two (ok, 1.5) heartstrings that Kasbis has, and his lips curl into an unusual manner for him, a half frown, half smile. The look on his face is inscrutable as he is reliving the events of the last two days quickly in his head, seeing this scene from a father who obviously cares for his daughter.
“I know how you can repay us.” Pause. Sigh. Deep breath. Not used to dealing with these things, these filthy useless emotions…. “You can join us. Help us, and we will help you. We have a great deal in common perhaps. At least join us as we make camp away…. away from here. And let’s hear a little more about each other. I think we’ve each earned a good rest from the day’s events. What do you say? Duncan, Hrathen, is that ok with you two as well?” He turned and looked for consensus and agreement with the plan.
If all are agreed, he searches the bodies for supplies and gold, especially the leader of the raider crew, with no guilt or remorse whatsoever.

Duncan takes the weapons from the raider who walked away, as well as those who are dead on the ground, and adds them to the collection he started with the assassin only a couple days before, strapping them to their camel."At least our armory is building for when we have men who need supplies," he says, looking back to the others. He then adds, "A rest would be helpful," clearly favoring his right arm at the moment, in need of rest and healing, "though we should again try to walk for a while longer to avoid the sun tomorrow as much as possible. Hiking in the dark is safer."
Duncan happily rests and does some stretching as he heals a bit. Turning towards their new companions he asks, "It is well met out here. We are actually going to the estate of Sir Kasbis here. Though the fates alone know what we will find when we arrive. Are you two from the area? The land we're headed to is just a bit north of the mesas. Around here." pointing to the map. "Would you happen to know anything of what may be there?"
I rolled dice on my sheet, one 6 and one 9 + 3 each. Still trying to figure out how the 'hit dice' rolls work on the sheet, so I just rolled d10 separately. btw - @ two - what noble title should I use for you?
