Barkas boards ship and turns to the Captain, saying in dwarvish, “Have you been to the area where this ship is before? I would be glad to help the crew if needed, just let me know. An if’n you wish to try my special brew (he indicates his brewing materials in his backpack and custom made beer container at the bottom of his backpack), say the word. By the way, you ever sailed to Chult? Nyanzaru? I have interest in reaching there eventually. After we settle this matter for Aubreck.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"You can come onto the deck during daylight, ain't taking any help as my crew needs to sober up from their leave. Speaking of my crew, don't let them know you have booze. Feel free to join the crew during mealtimes and such, just asking you all not to bother or try to help them. I'll be sure to tell you all when we spot the ship." The captain says
Alabaster steps on the deck of Soul of Winter. It feels to good to have the wind ruffle through his silvery brown hair. He draws in a breath, the air salty and fresh, and feels the call of nature.
“No problem, Captain, we’ll stay out of your way.” He says, though he still likes to come up on deck, watch the waves, listen to the song of the sea. Hearing Naru’s call as he goes by, he shrugs, and with a smile that shows his sharpened teeth. “And it sounds like there’s entertainment.”
“Aye aye captain. You won’’t hear a peep outta me.” Barkas gives the captain a little salute and wanders down below, joining his companions. He rocks up and down on his tiptoes, ready to get underway and obviously excited.
“Hey fellas, wonder why all the secrecy? You don’t think they turn into a crew of skeletons at night or anything creepy like that? Capn seems pretty protective of his crew, maybe overly so, just odd…”

”How well do you think you could tie a complex knot surrounded by a group of mercenaries who could kill you if you didn’t do what they thought was the ‘right’ way. Not well I’m betting. Besides, if you were given the choice between working, and drinking, which do you think you would choose? I understand your concern but let us focus our energies on the task to come and not the crew delivering us there,”
Placing his things in the area that was now his, Naru's eyes grow wider as he listens to Barkas' comment, and as soon as Craice finishes commenting, he chimes in: "I swear it's like you've seen the play 'Pirates of the Caravans'. It's exactly as you say; a bunch of pirates that look normal in daylight, but change into skeletons at night. Beautiful! I was one of the skeletons in that play by the way. I nailed it. All the clickety-clicketa," he says while miming what one would rather guess is a mommy or zombie. "I was told I was a natural at it, that I could even be mistaken for one of them."
"Oh!" he exclaims, like he just thought of something amazing, then lowers his voice before continuing, "maybe we could sneak a peek one night, for the kick of it. You know, for science!" He winks, all smiles.
Alabaster furrows his brows at Barkas' comment. "Doesn't seem that out of place to me. I imagine to be able to operate a ship, a captain has to keep a tight rein on his crew. Do you really think something else is going on?"
He grins at Naru's suggestion, and shrugs. "Yeah, that sounds fun. Why not? If we're still up for your games tonight, whoever loses got to sneak up here and make sure we're not on a skeleton ship."
The first two days pass by quietly, with most noise coming from the ship creaking and constant snoring from the crew. Seems they've divided the crew between day and night, the captain shouting order during the day while the first mate manages the night. The third day passes like the rest, but the during the night you all can hear something coming from the top deck. What sounds like the clash of metal and running around. What mostly accents it is a shout you hear.
Barkas turns to Alabaster in recognition, nodding to him as he sees that he understands as well. His hand reaches out for his staff and he puts his wolf skull on his head. “I don like the sound of that. Sahuagin? They are shouting at some fish folk to get off the ship. I think we are justified in going to have a look. If we are being boarded they may need some help…”
"Eh?! What? Fish folks?!" Naru asks half asleep. "Good fish folk like in the play 'Ruca', or bad fish folk like in the 'Creature of the Dark Lagoon'?"
Once it was obvious fighting was occuring upstairs, Naru sighs: "Dark Lagoon it is... I'm not a fan of fighting at night, but helping would be better than getting killed or stranded, so let's go at least have a look, I guess."
Craice stands and starts for the deck, all prior commands go out the window in the face of combat. He takes his Greatsword off his back as he stomps up the stairs to the main deck.
Shafir grimaces and says aloud "Sahuagin attack! Stay clear of the railing as a Sahuagin may pull you underwater." He follows the other up to the deck while hanging back a bit to let the more sturdier companions go first.
Barkas grabs his shield as well and goes up third. There is an image of the bole of a tree lovingly carved on the front of it. (Will describe further later). As he is running third in line up the stairs, he says “Smack’em stick!” and casts shillelagh on his staff.

As you all come onto the top deck you see the dwarves are engaged with humanoid fish-like people, that bite and claw at them along with their weapons. You see more start to climb onto the ship as you see their claws gripping the railings of the ship.

Craice shakes his head as he embarks onto the deck, chuckling softly at his companions, turning to the captain he says;
”I understand completely, and would greatly appreciate a heads-up when we’re near, thank you for taking us to our destination captain,”
Craice then makes his way below decks, where he will wait patiently, mentally preparing himself for whatever lies ahead.
Farewell.

(I will need a march order, as to know who is in the front and back for the battle map)
Shafir will be in the back
Naru will be 4th.
