The Kooshee comes around the building, "Thank you for the offer, but such food is not natural. I will hunt soon, as I must return to the family soon."
Magnus, Peter & Bridger
The sun has set and a large, almost full moon provides enough light for you to see the path on the hour long trek back to the Library and the apartment left for you. On a table, a cold dinner of fowl and vegatables awaits you. The Kooshee remains outside, and there is no sign of Chris.
Jordi
Once your friends leave, the Dwarves start to get rowdier as they drink and begin to sing songs in their native language. From the other room, the other Halflings can be heard laughing and joking. Though the Elves soon leave with disgruntled looks at the Dwarves. The Halflings, you glean from conversations, are locals and farm fields and tend orchards between here and the Citadel to the north, and gathering at this Tavern is a weekly, if not nightly, ritual. Eventually though, the Halflings stumble away with laughter and songs of their own.
Eventually, you are left with Mitchie, as Doris and her son head off to the kitchen to clean. "So you have chosen to follow the path of the rogue? I once was an adventurer like you and spent many years in the north investigating old ruins. It was profitable," he says indicating the tavern. "There is an obligation among us who make our way as adventurers to train the next generation that follows the path of adventurer. Now, if you wish, I can spend the time to improve your skills tonight, and depending on how fast you learn, tomorrow night."
As Mitchie trains you in stealth, picking locks and combat he is impressed by how easily you learn. It is only a few hours till dawn, when he tells you to go home and get some rest and come back the next evening.
The next morning a bleary eyed Chris stumbles into the apartment with a rolled parchment.
"Haven't pulled an all-nighter in while. You have to see that place," he says as he sets down heavily in a comfy chair. "The tower is only part of the library. They have whole floors beneath with books and scrolls and artifacts underneath. I could spend the rest of my life here, they have history and tales that go back a hundred thousand years at least. And their are libraries like this all over the world that these High Elves keep, and magicianly share information. Not like Tolkien's Palantíris, I guess. Really, they never said how..." he trails off, realizing he has taken a tangent.
"Anyway, apparently, Myrddin might really be Merlin or someone really, really like him. And he lived for a VERY, VERY long time and a very long time ago. He is said to have Ascended more than 20 thousand years ago. But the only way for that to be true is if time runs differently here than home, you know like Narnia. Did you ever read C.S. Lewis? There's no real way of telling as only Myrddin is believed to have journeyed between 'the many worlds of the Settlers'. Oh, another thing Travelers and Settlers are different interpretations of ancient, High Elven, it's all in the inflection."
"Oh, oh, oh, get this. 'Ascending' is something only we can do as Settlers. It's literally ascending to minor godhood, you know like Heracles, only we don't have to die. In fact, according to the Elves that's how all of the 'gods' of Ariandyr came about. Except the Mother and the Dark One."
"So, apparently after he Ascended, information about him and his Staff began to disappear from Libraries around the world, even from private Libraries. There are whole dissertations on it, and apparently the only information left is some very general stuff and things in other stories about other people or happenings."
"After I get some sleep, I'll go back and see if I can find out more about people returning home."
"Oh, a had some Hobbit... I mean Halflings.. they don't actually call them Hobbits. Anyway, here is a map of the area I asked them to make up with Library area and Rawanakee Island," he says as he closes his eyes.
With a day to kill, Magnus wants to set off from the Citadel, to hunt and gather potion components and medicinal herbs.
Magnus, "Anyone want to join me for the day? I'm going to forage some potion materials. We should be back by tonight. I'm thinking of heading south a few miles."
Magnus looks at the map and realizes it looks almost exactly like the area of Virginia and North Carolina. Maybe a little off compared to the space view possible in your own world. It begins to make sense, when you realize that you were probably over the Shenandoah Valley when the plane went down. As you look at where Chris marked Rawanakee, and the line of yellow going south, you guess that Rowanakee is Roanoke Island. You also notice that the area marked as the Great Swamp encompasses several swamps and wetland areas from the real world.
Everyone give me an Intelligence check. Peter with advantage.
Peter as you look at the map you do double take, looking at the Library and then up at the Druid's mountain.
THE LIBRARY IS THE ROTUNDA!! Then the Druid's mountain must be Monticello! So were you woke on this strange would is probably the exact location of the parking lot were the car was going to hit you!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Magnus preps his spells and supplies with intent to coddiwomple for the day.
He sets off going 10 miles to the south at a meandering pace. He is keeping a meticulous eye out for medicinal plants, small game, and signs of possible predators to be avoided.
Bridger is also going to spend the time at the library researching, and reading through various tomes or scrolls.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
Peter'seyes go wide with recognition. "What is this place?" he whispers. Rather than doing as he originally planned, his first instinct is to go looking for where his home would have been located on Earth. But before he does that, he returns to the others (whoever is still in the apartment) and tells them about his realization. "We are in Charlottesville!"
Jordi is very tired, and misunderstands Peter. "What are you talking about? We're not on Earth.... unless you think we've been taken back in time? But still, there are elves, dwarves, magic... this clearly is not Earth."
On entering the Library, you are once again stuck by its beauty. You wander around for a few minutes before a strikingly beautiful Elvis woman with bright gold hair and blue eyes approaches you. "The Mother's greetings to you this day. I saw you yesterday with Balthasan and was struck by your appearance. He has not yet risen, he rarely does before noon. I heard of your tale from others last night. I assume you wish you do some research like your companion? This floor of the Library is reserved for research, you may choose any cubicle and ring the bell and an assistant will come to help you in your research. Scrolls and books will be brought from the lower vaults to you once an archivist has found them. It is a labyrinth below, and the uninitiated can get easily lost. By happenstance, I was actually having some scrolls brought up that might be of help to you on the Dragon Blooded. Do you know the origin of your strange appearance?"
She then begins to give you a lecture on the four categories of Dragon in Ariandyr: Chromatic, Metallic, Gem and Spirit (i.e. Cloud, Faire, etc.). This is in order of most to least numerous, though there is a school of thought that Metallic may actually be more numerous, but find life pretending to be Elves easier, as Chromatic tend to hunt them. Though All dragons seemed to engage in the practice of shapeshifting at times, for differing purposes. And one of the side effects of prolonged shapeshifting seems to be an adaption of the instincts and appetites of the creature whose form is assumed. Druid's who spend a lot of time in a particular form report this to be true. And as procreation is an instinct of all living things, these Dragons copulate with the species whose identity they have assumed. The draconic blood then manifest in any offspring (though they are few), and the trait can lie dormant for many generations before resurfacing again. Some scholars believe this occurs when both parents carry the trait. This always happens with the Dragon being the male, or so it is believed. There are no recorded events of a female Dragon carrying a child to birth.
Without realizing it, she has lead you up the stairs to the top (5th) floor. "This is my office, you may use it, as I have already had some scrolls brought up. And my assistant will help you with any others that you may wish."
Though you don't read Elvish, it is close enough that you can read the cover of the tome which is sitting on small table in front of a comfy chair by the window, "Draconis Arcanus Potentia." In a rack beside the chair are a number of other scrolls. Slogging through the tomb is difficult due to the language differences, but you are able to gain an understanding your potential as a Sorcerer. The scrolls (usually referenced from the tome) give more information, specifically on some of the magical abilities (spells).
Without realizing it, you have spent the day in study.... Welcome to level 2.
