As the harpy struggled against Harbeck's cruel net, Morbrukk slammed his axe hard into the harpy's chest, then Kelsin stepped up and stabbed the point of her rapier through the monster's midsection. Finally, Kyomi, her blade still wreathed in crackling green flames, bounded through the thick snow and drove her fiery blade through the harpy's neck, spraying blood across herself, her comrades and some of the snow that remained white around them. The winged and naked woman's body fell entirely limp, and the group took a collective breath.
Morbrukk, having had many dealings with harpies in the craggy mountains of his homeland Thgol'd'rak, speaks up after it appears that everyone is safe. "You know, it's possible these two were the only two occupying their nest. Harpy nests are known to have the collected treasure of all their victims in them, they hoard it much like dragons. It might be worth taking a look over the edge, to see just how close their aerie is to the top. Might be we could just lower someone on a rope to gather some treasure for us all to share?"
Kelsin perks up as the thought of treasure. "Let me take a look" She then heads to the cliffs edge and then lays down in the snow and looks over the edge to see if she can find the harpies nest.
Strix nods at Morbrukk. "Very good to know Morbrukk. Risky, but then again, what on this mission isn't, eh? Ye've all been promised an equal share of whatever valuables we come across, so if ye're all in agreement, I say we proceed - let's see if these Harpies have anything to compensate us for our trouble."

Creeping on her belly to look over the edge, Kelsin sees a crag filled gorge that drops down several hundred feet to an icy stream below. Thankfully she also sees that the harpy nest is indeed only about fifty feet directly below her. The nest is littered with bones and scattered bits of cloth and metal, but she can clearly see more than a few items of notable value from here with the naked eye. Morbrukk was right, it appears as though the monstrous bird-women were hoarding the wealth of their kills like a pile of trophies. She calls her friends over so they can figure out who among them will get lowered down into the nest to gather up all the treasure.
"I think I see treasure"says Kelsin. She takes out a piton and hammers it into the ground with her crowbar. Then she ties a rope to the piton and tries to repel down.
(OOC: Kelsin, please roll either a Perception check or an Investigation check, whichever is higher for you. The nest is a mess of dried bones, bits of torn cloth, as well as a bundle of sticks, twigs, feathers and patches of fur. Finding all the valuables in such a mess will require some looking.)
Kelsin is either lucky, or perceptive, or both, because she is able to gather up every last coin's worth of valuable goods from among the detritus of the harpies' nest. She stuffs everything in her sack and then has the group pull her back up to the top of the plateau.
Harpies' Nest Treasure: [2300 cp, 1400 sp, 90 gp, a bone coffer inlaid with ornate silver scrollwork (25 gp), a fine leather coinpurse trimmed with lynx fur (25 gp), a marble orb engraved with dwarven axeheads (25 gp), a platinum amulet of a warhammer etched with draconic scales (25 gp), an earthenware plate embossed with floral vines (25 gp), Spell Scroll (unknown), Potion (magical - unknown), Potion of Healing, three bottles of fine wine (30 gp, 6 lb), forty arrows in a wooden box (3 gp, 6 lb)]
Once pulled up, Kelsing shares what she found in the nest with her companions "Once we hit a town or village then we can sell most of these off, but for now lets continue on to our destination" Kelsin will go back to the trail after retrieving the rope and piton.
Strix smiles. "Well done Kelsing! Well-earned plunder will surely lighten our steps to the next stop. I knew Saxswyn had blessed us with the right folks for this mission."

The rest of the day's travel goes relatively smoothly. As smoothly as traipsing up and down snowy, rocky hills and mountainsides can be expected to go. As twilight started to fall, Morbrukk found a hidden rocky recess, not truly a cave, but a deep enough recess that with some gathered branches, brush and stones as a makeshift fourth wall/doorway it would keep the weather out, and their firelight in. So the group settled in for a well deserved rest. As the group settles down Kelsin passes around the scroll she found in the harpies' nest to see if anyone recognizes the arcane words. Kyomi, unsure as to exactly how, knows immediately that the scroll holds the spell commonly referred to in arcane circles as Suggestion, a rather nice bit of magically compulsive persuasion magic.
