Carolinas says to Sal, "Of course I shall attempt to sell them for you for the best price possible. I also bought some, along with grain...maybe we will get a better price if we sell it all in bulk."

S'ika stood there staring at him as he continued to talk. As she was about to reply, she was quickly cut off by one last sentence. This time, she stayed quiet for at least 5 seconds before attempting to reply. "Yes. I am the new bard. S'ika is the name"She then extended her dark red hand towards him, expecting it to be taken. "Anytime you want to chat, just walk up to me." A wide grin came across her face as she continued to talk "Thanks for the compliment. It took a lot of work to get good." Soon as she finished, she lifted up her lute and gave it a quick kiss. She then looked back towards Rook with a straight face. "Unfortunately, we are going to have to keep this conversation short. Since I need to get things done quickly. Why exactly did you need to know who was going ashore?"
OOC - Perhaps I wasn't clear. The illegal goods were first offloaded offshore, then the ship pulled into the Snowdown dock proper afterwards.

Sal shakes her head."No, but thank you for the thought."She says to Carolinas. "I was thinking of maybe keeping some of the grain back. Perhaps Archimedes would like some as something to munch on when we're low on ship rats."
OOC: oops sorry I misread. Thought they simply transferred them to us.
Carolinas laughs, "Oh, I wouldn't worry about him. He's so full of hot air that it wouldn't fit."
The owl squawks at him.
-*What what?!?*-
"What were you planning on doing on the ship since it seems like Clerics aren't legally allowed to disembark? I just hope they don't have a problem with Rook or myself, or as a follower of Mystra. Anyway, I'll make sure to keep an eye on Rook when we go ashore."
"I'll have to busy myself on the ship, making sure that things are appropriate for when the captain returns." Sal replies. "There is something about the scorched runes that intrigues me still, though I can't quite put my finger on it."
-ooc] Sebastian as far as I know will get paid now that the passenger disembarked. As for negotiated rates, I believe it was based on the percentage of the fair. I do not recall a per diem rate discussed even in PM.
Aso, this Port is kind of what I’ve seen as “The Blckhand’s” bread and butter. Would the captain be ok if we were to pick up a passenger her as well? Sebastian is fine to head to shore and see what he might be able to set up.
Sebastian watches closely, the process in which the Silken Keel unloads its ilicit cargo. Slightly disappointed that his skill set was not even required.
Catching Rook talking to the new Bard on board, Sebastian casual mentions to her ”Be carefull, this one will talk your ear off.” and with that climbs up into the rigging with a wink at Rook
Rooks looks bashfully at Sebastian as he teases him but then gives him a wink. He smiles up at S'ika and simply says "oh, no reason other than I was hoping to have friends to go with, you see." "I've never been to these places before and Father said to just stick with any friendly members of the crew and they'd probably show me the ropes wherever we stopped, but to watch out for trouble too, and not drink too much, or at least not to carry my valuables if I do so."
OOC Yes, it seems that several of us maybe weren't informed of our daily pay rate, or, at least in my case, aren't savvy enough to go find it! Can you help, DM? ;)
S'ika looks over at the half-elf who just passed by and chuckled at what he said. "Thanks. Ill be sure to remember that." She then looks back over to Rook."Unfortunately, I have never been to these parts. So I dont know how much of the rope I can show. You are welcome to tag along though. OOC - Okay, book keeping parts here. Wages, unless you can show me otherwise, are as follows:Sebastian 5 sp per day, Bruz 5 sp per day plus 1gp tips/bribes on the first trip, and 2 gp tips on the second, Rook 2 sp per day, Carolinas 5 sp per day, Sal 1 GP per day, S’ika 8 sp per day. There has been a trip of 6 days for most of you, and a second trip of three days for all. Any passengers that came aboard are paying 2gp per day, so from BG to C is 12 gp, 1.2 gp commission. From C to S is three days, but everyone is travelling past Snowdown, except the one Cleric Bruz netted. Bruz gets 2GP commission from that one. No other passenger disembarks at Snowdown.
OOC - part deux: Profits from goods sold (sadly most are at a loss):Bruz spent 29, received 27.76. Sal spent 65, received 63.24. Carolinas spent 130, received 123.7 and S'ika spent 125 and received 110. Just for mechanics purposes, there is only a 25% chance of some kind of loss. These totals will not include passenger commissions.
Goods available from this port:
Exotic woods - 1 gp per lb
Carvings - 30 gp per lb
Enriched soil - 1 gp per 100lbs
Arms & armor - 50 gp per lb
Infused water in flasks - 10 gp per lb.
If anyone goes ashore, they may make passenger recruiting rolls. Departure is the same day, as the Captain and most of the crew are uncomfortable here.

After Carolinas's conversations above, he takes Sal's fruit and veg purchased and sells them on the dock, as requested. (Unfortunately netting a loss as indicated above)
OOC: I will reply to any responses since Carolinas is multitasking a bit while talking.
While he's unloading the produce, he tries to convince anyone around to book passage with a terrible rhyme. "Looking for adventure, knowledge, and safe passage along with a fine meal? Join me on the big wooden Keel!

Regardless of the outcome, he walks back on the ship to fetch Rook and tell Sal the produce and grain didn't net them a profit. "Sorry, Sal. The buying prices for the food didn't yield a profit. It seems like nearly everyone lost money on everything. Ready to leave when you are Rook. Anyone else coming with us? I'll be waiting on the main deck."
When he is back on the main deck after the transactions, he says to Archimedes, "Take to the sky and keep a look out for me. There are dangerous things in this place." His owl does not delay and flies to the air, circling about 100ft above him. Carolinas's eyes go completely white and he remains standing motionless for a few moments as Archimedes hoots high over head.

I'm not sure exactly how profits are determined for goods, but is it possible to roll a wisdom or intelligence skill—Insight, History (historical records of sales perhaps?), etc to see what has the best chance of netting a profit?
If so I can do it in a PM to avoid metagaming. If it's not possible, no big deal. Just trying to put my eggs in the proper baskets.
(Sal can't really buy anything since she's stuck aboard the ship. I'll wait for seeing how much Carolinas and Rook want to hand back, since they may want to take a commission percentage for her sales)
OOC: Carolinas wouldn't take a fee for selling items for someone he considers a friend.
(After making his purchases)
He returns the full yield of Sal's sales realizes she is not able to go ashore legally to purchase any items.
He says to Sal, "If you're not able to go ashore, would you like me to purchase any goods for you? Just write down what you wish to buy. It's no trouble."
(he communicates the goods available and their costs)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Once finished, she quickly made her way back to the ship.
OOC - Waiting on Hex and Grey to proceed. *Hint* Passengers are a good 'investment'. Also, you do not need to go ashore to purchase these goods. You give your funds and list of investments to Master Glass and he increases the order for the entire ship. If there is something special you want to buy in port, let me know. You can revise your posts, as you wish, until I get the last two player's moves.
