Manira looks to Ulmuur, "I'm from Forthmoor, also on North Reach. But man, I am really struggling taking all this in!"
She follows the rest to the castle, and snags some snacks and the wine. Swirling it around in front of her, she smiles at the slight tint of blue, then enjoys it. She looks around at the hall, wondering what could be down all the different hallways, but the staircase in front of her draws the most attention.
Once finished with her snacks she starts up the stairs and looks at the massive set of doors, attempting to see if there is anything magical about them either. Figuring, as they are guardians, even if there is something magical it shouldn't hurt them... she attempts to open the doors to see what is behind them.
"Truvale on Larklandian," Norwin interjects absently as she looks around the entrance hall. Looking at the tree creature, she asks. "Can you point the way to the kitchens?"

Ulmuur will point things out as they walk, the ship wreck and the claw marks. As they enter, he will accept some snacks and wine. "Hmm, East Bastion, All-World, Forthmoor, Truvale, and Aurora. Interesting. I've heard of Forthmoor, and Lady Hoppington said she was between Truvale and Temble Port. Interesting. Hmm. Yes, let's find this kitchen, but these big doors are intriguing." He'll follow behind Wil and Manira.
"Thankee, sai, but I must decline." Roland says as he looks at the glass of wine. "To become inebriated when in an unsure situation would be to forget the face of my father, but the gesture is most kind. Now then..."
He studies the room, studies the various things they have seen as they explore the grounds. He looks at the sizing circle.
"I suppose now, looking at these runes, we know why the doors are built the way they are."
She follows the rest to the castle, and snags some snacks and the wine. Swirling it around in front of her, she smiles at the slight tint of blue, then enjoys it. She looks around at the hall, wondering what could be down all the different hallways, but the staircase in front of her draws the most attention.

The wine is very sweet even for a wine when you first drink it then you get smack with a powerful alcohol flavor after making for a unique but delicious experience in a beverage. It seems to greatly enhance the flavor of the cheese and crackers as you partake in the offering. However, the blue wine is very strong like somehow someone concentrated the alcohol content in it to give a better kick. Make a CON save (DC 10) or you are drunk (poison condition). The Wooden construct seems to face you with its featureless face and you get a sense of happiness emanating from the being.
"Truvale on Larklandian," Norwin interjects absently as she looks around the entrance hall. Looking at the tree creature, she asks. "Can you point the way to the kitchens?"
The wooden construct points in the direction of the hallway to the left. It seems unable to talk but also seems to indicate it knows where the kitchens are. It is still offering wine and snacks to the group that has gathered though. Looking around the entrance hall it is clearly a place of divergence. Looking down the hallways she can see multiple doors and places to explore.

As Wil downs the drink he also finds a similar very sweet flavor give way to a strong alcoholic burn. It is delicious but far stronger then one suspects and the forefront sweetness tend to lead folks to drink more then they should. Make a CON save (DC 10) or you are drunk (poisoned condition). The construct doesn't seem to react to the patted shoulder but a sense of happiness can be felt from them. Following Manira up the small flight of stairs you both notice the stairs are very large to accommodate larger beings. In this particular instance it takes people of medium size several steps just to cross one set of the stairs. Getting up to the door with Manira he slows her down for a moment so he can check the door for signs of anything on the otherside. It takes just a few moments of listening intently then Wil is certain that he doesn't hear anything on the other side.
The pair open the door and find a beautifully decorated room of authority. It is difficult to call it a straight throne room as it seems different on many levels. What one takes for a throne at the top of the stairs is instead a fountain. One that must of held flowing water at one point but is now empty. The same symbol as on the front of the castle engraved here as well. A sense of serene power seems to emanate from the fountain. It's not unpleasant but the skin or scales of each of you seems to feel a brush of power that almost tickles from it the closer you get to the fountain. To the left and right are raised platforms each with two distinct sections in them. On the left the closest to the door that enters this "throne" room is various angelic symbols and carvings. There is no chair or throne here but a raised platform near the edge of the platform looking over the stairs. On the left closest to the fountain is depictions of giants and giant type symbols. Once again no chairs or thrones but an unmistakable area near the middle of the platform for a much taller being to get a good view down the stairs and to clearly see the fountain. To the right closest to the door to enter is demonic and jagged edgy forms.. It seems to mirror the angelic side except for it's style. To the right and closest to the fountain is draconic symbols and once again seems to mirror the giant side except for the style of design.
As Ulmuur follows behind he sees the same sights as Wil and Manira. He however can sense the fountain more intently like it is trying to draw his attention. The power ebbing and flowing from it like a tide trying to pull him in. He can easily resist this pull but it is there like it is trying to get him to do something. It is a most curious feeling to them.
"Thankee, sai, but I must decline." Roland says as he looks at the glass of wine. "To become inebriated when in an unsure situation would be to forget the face of my father, but the gesture is most kind. Now then..."
The construct seems to generate a sad feeling as you politely refuse the wine. Following the rest you would also see the same sights as above. The power from the fountain is felt by you. Something grabs your attention though. The fountain has several orbs on it as part of it's design. One of the orbs on the bottom looks awfully familiar to Roland.
You can all easily tell that the top orb on this fountain has a globe of the world of Vas on it. It is the only globe with colors of blue and gold where as the 6 orbs below are all solid gold. The fountain currently has no water in it but there is clearly a system in place for water to flow through the magical fountain.
heads in the direction the tree man pointed to the kitchens
Heading down the hallway you find there is a lot to explore. There appears to be multiple utility rooms down this hallway each with their own functions. One seems to be a broom closest, another some kind of storage although it seems mostly empty except for a a pair of time worn crates. A small of something rotten in that room. She runs into another of the wooden automaton that comes out of a set of double doors and is walking down the hallway. Norwin would notice that all the doors in this hallway are medium is size and the hallway seems to be sized for medium creatures as well. A large one could fit but it would be a tight fit. The wooden automaton seems to be carrying a tray with a pitcher of water and is heading right down the hallway towards the others.
Ulmuur takes several sips of the wine, before he realizes how potent it is. He will stop before it goes to his head.
He looks around the room, but his eyes keep getting drawn to the fountain. "That fountain, there is something about it. Does anyone else feel that? Like the ebb and flow of a tide, pulling you closer? It is quite beautiful, though." He will walk closer to the fountain to get a better look it. As he walks up, he will say as he touches his starmap amulet "Guide my path." He will cast guidance on himself.
Oooh ... that's strong stuff - Wil notes, as the buzz from the almost too sweet wine kicks in abruptly. Flying a bit erratically, he catches up to Manira, and tugs on her shoulder to get her attention. "SSshh!!", he whispers - loudly - "Imma check to see if anythin's on d'other side..."After acertaining to the best of his ability that the room beyond is quiet, he loudly whispers, " 'S ok. We can go in now." Opening the door, he flies up to get a better view of the platforms and the impressive fountain beyond.
"Ooh, izzat a fountain? Pretty. I wonder what this says..." Flying over to the one that looks like dragons - the only one he might be able to decipher, he squints blurrily at the Draconic symbols, trying to make them out.

goes to the double doors and looks in 15 perception
You definitely found the kitchen as you peek in. You are careful not to make too much noise as the sound of pots and pans can be heard moving in here. You see a giant fire based oven in the center surrounded by a ring of pots and pans hanging overhead. You see multiple unused smaller fire based stoves scattered about. The entire kitchen is humongous! You could fit a small army of cooks in here. Silverware, plates, giant spoons and more can be seen in just a casual glace. Looking a bit closer you see silverware and plates are organized by size ranging up to a set of plates that you could be served on. The place is dimly lit and lacks proper lightning except around the central fireplace which is blazing with heat and fire. It appears to be in use. You also see hundred of cupboards scattered on the walls in various sizes. You get the sense you could store all the food that Lady Hoppington brought and more here. The only thing that doesn't seem in large supply int he kitchen right now is actual ingredients but that will be fixed quickly if you move the supplies into here. You also defiantly hear something just on the other side of the central fire stove. The sound of a spoon or spatula stirring a sizzling pan. A slight whistling tune can be heard echoing in the kitchen.
You got a bit too enthusiastic with the wine being taken in by the sweet flavor and then get hit with the booze hard. You feel a bit tipsy but you're sure with a bit of time it'll wear off. You may have had a bit too much but it was delicious too. (You have the poisoned/drunk condition for 1 hour.)
follows the sound of the stirring and whistling."Umm, Hi, Lady Hoppington the third the third said those in the kitchen might give us a bit more answers regarding this place and why we're here. I'm Norwin. The others are off exploring." She pushes Rudy behind her with a foot to keep him out of view. "I think there are some supplies for you in the door room or whatever it is called. I could help start bringing them in if that's what we're supposed to do; although, some of them are likely heavy."
Manira stops drinking as soon as she feels it hit her. "Whew! You can really get snookered on this stuff!" she exclaims as she sets the half drunk glass back on the tray. "Thanks buddy, it was delicious." she tells the wooden construct.
As they enter the not-throne room, she gapes at the sculptures and the beauty of everything that lies within. Seeing that most are gathered around the fountain, she joins them. Looking it over, she tries to figure out what is going on, then takes out her waterskin, and pours a healthy amount into the fountain to see what it does.
Roland continues looking around, his eyes drinking in the landscape and building, the strange, beautiful, wonderful place he has arrived in. Every step he takes is deliberate. Every turn of his eyes. He listens not only to his new companions, the ka-tet, but also to the sounds of the world around them. The operations of the buildings. The life in the area.
When he notices the globe at the bottom of the fountain, he stoops and gives it a deliberate once over, but is mindful not to touch it; not only does he not know what it does or if it's magical, he's also acutely aware of the fact that this place seems to hold grand importance, and that anything, or at least almost anything, could be sacred or hold religious importance.

There is a sudden stop to the sound of cooking. "Are ya one of th' new ownahs? It's too early ta be comin fer dinnah." The voice is a deep voice and one that has a dwarvish accent. Standing for safety near the door way Norwin peeks in but doesn't see anyone. Eventually the voice booms "Come in already! Ya nevah learn ta close a door? Bring ya Fox too." No matter how much Norwin listens there doesn't seem to be a source for the voice. It just seems to echo around the room without one. Going into the room she suddenly hears "Ah! Good ta see ya at last. I'm Kitchen. Like the actual location. I know yer confused. I find it best just ta get that out of the way soooo...." Suddenly every pot and pan begins to start moving. Spoons and knifes flying around and is there a beat on the pans beginning? It sounds like kitchen is about to begin a song to the boom boom tish boom boom tish of pans and forks.
"Honey, you're confused, got sanctuary blues Wondering the halls, gonna find a room that's yours You got confusion on your face, you're lost make no mistake Now listen to the kitchen as explains this place, singin'
We will, we will COOK FOR YOU We will, we will COOK FOR YOU
Honey, you're blessed, so might just make the best The future's lookin tough, but hold on you're enough You got confusion on your face, you're lost make no mistake Now listen to the kitchen as explains this place, singin'
We will, we will COOK FOR YOU, sing it! We will, we will COOK FOR YOU
Honey, you're a guard, a caretaker Figuring out all the visitors this place brings You'll get blood on your face, you'll make mistakes Working together you will all manage to keep this place
We will, we will COOK FOR YOU, sing it We will, we will COOK FOR YOU, everybody We will, we will COOK FOR YOU, hmm We will, we will cook for you. Alright"
The mass of pots and pans that were playing percussion all settle back down. Norwin is pretty sure the entire supply of those plus the silverware was involved in the song. As things settle down Kitchen goes back to a normal not singing voice and says "So, there ya have it. Place has gotta lot O' responsibility but I'll help with the food part of it. Of course, I'm gonna need supplies and it sounds like ya go some. Bring em here and are you gonna be the head chef? I can move any tool in here but stuff brought from outside I can't So I need a touch of help with prep at least."
The construct seems to emanate a stronger feeling then happiness. Instead its more like joy when Manira compliments them.
When Manira poors water into the fountain is does go into it and seems to find a system that brings the water to the top but the single waterskin is like a drop in a bucket for this fountain and you would need a lot more water to get it functioning again.
Ulmuur takes several sips of the wine, before he realizes how potent it is. He will stop before it goes to his head.
He looks around the room, but his eyes keep getting drawn to the fountain. "That fountain, there is something about it. Does anyone else feel that? a thrum of power as Ulmuur casts guidance. He definately feels the power of the fountain even more now that he is close to it. (Gimme a religion check)
"Ooh, izzat a fountain? Pretty. I wonder what this says..." Flying over to the one that looks like dragons - the only one he might be able to decipher, he squints blurrily at the Draconic symbols, trying to make them out.
There is something about the draconic symbols here. You see the major cromatic and metalic colors represented here but there are also many symbols that seems to be lined up in this section. They don't appear to be words though. (Make a history Check)
Roland is pretty sure this globe is a globe of his world. (Give me an arcana and religion check.)

No matter how much Norwin listens there doesn't seem to be a source for the voice.
Wondering the halls, gonna find a room that's yours
You got confusion on your face, you're lost make no mistake
Now listen to the kitchen as explains this place, singin'
We will, we will COOK FOR YOU
The future's lookin tough, but hold on you're enough
You got confusion on your face, you're lost make no mistake
Now listen to the kitchen as explains this place, singin'
We will, we will COOK FOR YOU
Figuring out all the visitors this place brings
You'll get blood on your face, you'll make mistakes
Working together you will all manage to keep this place
We will, we will COOK FOR YOU, everybody
We will, we will COOK FOR YOU, hmm
We will, we will cook for you.
Alright"
The construct seems to emanate a stronger feeling then happiness. Instead its more like joy when Manira compliments them.
When Manira poors water into the fountain is does go into it and seems to find a system that brings the water to the top but the single waterskin is like a drop in a bucket for this fountain and you would need a lot more water to get it functioning again.
a thrum of power as Ulmuur casts guidance. He definately feels the power of the fountain even more now that he is close to it. (Gimme a religion check)
There is something about the draconic symbols here. You see the major cromatic and metalic colors represented here but there are also many symbols that seems to be lined up in this section. They don't appear to be words though. (Make a history Check)
Roland is pretty sure this globe is a globe of his world. (Give me an arcana and religion check.)
For all of you in the Ruling Chamber. You all hear the faint noise of music in the distance in the direction Norwin went.
