(As a reminder since I forgot about this earlier you’d have to subtract a d6 to your attack rolls and ability checks for a few more rounds. The javelin still hits regardless though.)
Eldritch blast followed by spiritual weapon attack
no, they can use arcane focuses and forget about expensive component spells. No offensive spells have expensive components anyways. (did you know that offensive and expensive rhyme?)
Speaking of starting equipment, I just realized fighters don't get crossbows... and if you try to argue that your crossbow was your martial weapon+shield, then how did you get bolts?
(my opponent prob would have taken leather and longbow, and I still would have lost. :()

I had a long bow and arrows in addition to the crossbow. Yes, I guess there were no bolts. There are many spells that require components that have already been used. Trueseeing requires separate component's worth 25gp.

A general rule of thumb I use in my home games is that If someone takes a ranged weapon they get 20 pieces of as a default.
And I guess we’ll say that you get components for high level spells, just to streamline things.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I did forget about the muddled mind. Sorry about that! (3 of 10 rounds down)
I also forgot to attack at disadvantage. So, here's a new (second) attack roll for the javelin throw — 17 — and a d6 to account for muddled mind: 5
In case editing screws it up: I also forgot to attack at disadvantage. So, here's a new (second) attack roll for the javelin throw — 32 — and a d6 to account for muddled mind: 5
OK, so the javelin still hits.
Another three hits (from you) for another 15 damage.

As his spiritual weapon can't keep up with the barbarian's movement he switches tactics flying over head and using 60ft of movement he casts crown of stars as 7 bright white bulbs of light shine around him , hovering over his wings (Action) He points his finger (bonus action) to fire one of the stars at his foe.

Continuing my pursuit I fly over another 60ft (130ft apart) and I don't think I can use distant spell metamagic on my crown of stars since it's already been casted correct? If not I'll cast guiding bolt with quickened spell at 5th level followed by eldritch blast:

Attack: 25 Damage: 16
I'll spend a sorcery point to reroll 5 dice (the two nat 1s and 3 of the 2s) 22
so that's 25 damage from guiding bolt plus 12 more from eldritch blast If I've got your AC right. 37 total. If for whatever reason I can distant my crown of stars bonus action let me know for future :)

Eldritch blast followed by spiritual weapon attack
Attack: 26 Damage: 3
Attack: 23 Damage: 7
Attack: 25 Damage: 5
Attack: 14 Damage: 3
Attack: 18 Damage: 18
he then flies up another 20ft.
Forgot my concentration check for haste… 14
Maybe we should rethink some equipment. The arcane classes won't have spell components for higher level spells either......?

I purposefully chose spells that didn’t have expensive components out of fairness. Also used the gold I got from my background to purchase a shield.

We are now 110 feet apart.
Reggie lobs another javelin.
Attack: 20 Damage: 11 - attack -1d6: 5
INT save: 11
4 of 10 rounds of muddled mind done
I guess I'll roll those new rolls again since the post is obviously not liking that I edited it.
Attack: 19 Damage: 8 - attack -1d6: 2
INT save: 5
I use my reaction to cast shield to gain +5 AC then another round of attacks form eldritch blast and my spiritual weapon.
Attack: 14 Damage: 3
Attack: 20 Damage: 1
Attack: 31 Damage: 8
Attack: 15 Damage: 1
Attack: 26 Damage: [roll](if([roll:-1:critical], =0, 2d8, 2{2d8}.expand()))+5[/roll
I guess I messed up the formula for sw so I’ll reroll. Attack: 16 Damage: 17
40 damage that time!
Reggie turns and starts running toward the trees.
Movement: 40 feet
Action: dash 40 feet
Just because "Why not?" I'm going to say I started in the trees, so I'm running back the way I came. We're now 170 feet apart.
INT save (5 of 10 rounds down): 5
(Are you behind any sort of cover or attempting to be in cover?)

Attack: 31 Damage: 50
Wow! That's gotta sting
Will everyone stop calling him "The Demogorgon"? It's his name, not a title!
this barbarian...
well, I feel sorry for him.

50 more damage
Movement and action: 80 more feet toward trees
Yes, I'm moving for cover, but I moved 240 feet from my starting point, so I have at least one more round of dashing before I reach my starting point.
INT save (6 of 10): 4
