Akkron takes a moment before the team busts down the door to cast Fire Shield, choosing the Chill Shield option. The lich's near-skeletal body is surrounded with a ghostly aura of blue flames, and the air grows chilly around him. Whether this guy is the Hexblade or a Monk, Akkron suspects that he's the type who will go into melee. (OOC: any time Akkron is hit with a melee attack, the Fire Shield will deal 2d8 cold damage to the attacker; also, Akkron has resistance to Fire damage for the duration).

Dabbert takes a breath, steadies himself, and then bursts into the room with all the quickfooted fury he can muster.
"Alive." He mutters to himself, remembering to attack with the flat of his halberd. "Alive, alive, alive goddesses damn you alive..."
Dab slams headlong into the monk with his shield in an effort to drive them to the floor. He looks at the...the...well whatever the hell it is this monk is holding, and decides it has to go, using a swing of his halberd to try to send it flying before hitting him (or her, it's an equal-opportunity ass whippin') with everything he has...

Akkron holds up his Staff of Power and uses two charges to cast Levitate on the monk (Con save DC 24), attempting to hold him aloft several feet in the air to keep him pinned in place.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
You all burst into the room. Aside from the gore and goon in the center a glowing orb set in iron provides light form above. As you enter the door slams shut with the sound of deadbolts.
But you're not locked in with the monk: he's locked in with you! Dabbert's shield shoves him against the wall, followed by the dangerous dance of his blade. Finding the target is more difficult than it usually is thanks to the walls he's wearing but with practiced swings the great weapon finds purchase for 51pt damadge.
Slip continues the tenderizing. Though damage isn't apparent (and he does make the con save) you see uncertainty reflected in his eyes after meeting "the wrong kind of monk" before Akkron challenges his faith even more by glowing with blue flame, slamming the monk against the wall for good measure, and lifting him skyward.
Unceremoniously, he thrashes against the wall. However, with a well-timed shove he rights himself and stands up on the wall, parallel to the ground. He runs along the wall apparently anxious to be out of sword-swinging distance only to leap onto Dabbert and wail on him with a flail.
Flail Attack 1: 30 Damage: 15
Flail Attack 2: 17 Damage: 16
He winds up to swing again, only to lodge his weapon in his back keep battering with two unarmed strikes.

When the monk starts to move like its butt's on fire, Dabbert is caught off guard and unable to pin it down the way he wants. Then it's on him, beating the snot out of him with a flail.
"Get off me you f*&%in' squirrel!" Dabbert snarls. It's third swing misses, and Dabbert takes his chance to club it with his halberd before catching a fourth strike. He gets his distance, keeping his halberd moving as he begins to press for gaps in monk's defenses.

Seeing the monk is tougher than she expected, Lorlin says a prayer and her staff is encased in booming energy, she whacks at the monk with her (shillelegh) staff, hitting tor 26 to hit, and dealing 10 force damage, 26 thunder damage, and the monk is encased in booming energy and if moves willingly will take another 26 thunder damage.

(I guess that it doesn't matter much what order we go in now since the bad-guy monk has already gone)
Akkron quickly realizes that Levitate isn't going to do much against the monk... so he drops it in favor of another spell that the lich hopes will bring the fight to an end. Akkron casts Bigby's Hand, using the Grasping Hand option in an attempt to grapple the enemy Monk.
Bigby's Hand Strength (Athletics) to grapple: 18 (with Advantage because the Monk is presumably Medium sized)

Also, if the hand successfully grapples the Monk, Akkron will use his Bonus Action to deal 16 Bludgeoning damage as the hand squeezes the Monk to try and 'convince' him to yield.
"This isn't a fight you can win," Akkron says, walking towards the Monk menacingly. "Four of us... and only one of you. Surrender now, and we may well be able to sort this mess out before someone gets hurt."
