You reason that with Tru's help, if you make for a dead sprint now, up the hill toward the keep, and you can get the attention of the castalan and his men while you run, you can make it through the gate before it closes.
There is nothing obvious from your current location to indicate an alternative way in. However, you and Tru know that on the south eastern side of the hill, there is a small sewage outlet from the keep, which may do as an alternative way in if you can pry open the heavy iron bars there and stomach crawling up the sewage for a good 200 feet.
“I reckon the keep’s sewer empties out on the other side over there” she points to the south-east side of the keep. “There’s a grate with thick bars….and the folks in the keep have a real meaty diet, if you know what I mean. But it’s a way in” She wrinkles her nose. “Course, we’d have to get to it without being seen”
"A sewer. How delightful," Willin deadpans with a sour expression. He sighs, "Still, I suppose it's better than trying to get though all those goblins and kobolds, even if it is a bit… smellier."
Bob looks at the gates to the keep, gaging the distance and position. “I reckon your right Tru, if we leave soon, we’ll make it just. My only worry is that the castalan will shut it before we get there, we’ll have to get there attention while we run”
Tama waves Araroris over to them, "If were going to make a run for it lets go before the gap gets any tighter." With a glance at Tru, "I mean no offence by this, but do you think you will be swift enough? I just need to know what kind of coverage to provide."
The young halfling grins at them“None taken. Yer right I ‘aven’t got me running legs on. If you don’t think I’ll make it I can always head for the sewer. I can usually squeeze through the bigger grates”
((Perception check 7 to see if she thinks she can make it))
Tama readies herself, "I say we make a break for it, I'm a swift runner and will likely make it to the door first. I'll have them hold it open for you while providing covering fire. I'm no stranger to crawling through the mire but it looks like we can make this."
[okay I'm not sure how far I am from the tree but it looks like about 20-ish feet? Is there a chance that I heard the conversation from my hiding spot? I wouldn't have been specifically listening to them, should I roll perception anyway or just assume I heard nothing?]
Araroris sees Tama beckon her and strides over to the group.

Maxim 6: If violence wasn't your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.
“ I agree, if we run we can make it, we’ll be safer and more of a help inside that keep.” He turns to Tru, ” I reckon you'll make it too, we have to leave quickly tho if needs be we can cover you,” he smiles widely.
Araroris eyes the distance between the group and the kobolds. "If they come after us, I can probably trap them long enough for us to get ahead. Most of them, anyway."
"Sound like we have a plan, but a plan is only as good as those who see it through. Let's move!" With that quick encouragement Tama rushes to the keep, eyes on the attackers hands on her bow at the ready.
Bob thinks hard and quickly surveys the keep and environment around him, looking for anything that could give them an advantage or a way in.

“Woah…there’s so many of them.”
Tru chews on her lips for a moment. “Yeah….yeah….I’m sure there’s another way in. Lemme think”

Same response as to Bob. See above.

Just clarifying the layout: It's possible to to run to the keep without running through the enemies.
"We'd have to crawl on our bellies through the....poop. I reckon we can make a run for it, whatcha think Bob?"

If nothing happens while you sprint up the hill, you're confident you can make it.

You have heard the conversation of you wanted to.

[Cool, thanks.]
