Breldo lifts his armor for a moment to better investigate exactly what happened. He's not really a doctor, so to him it looks as if the goop has just replaced his natural scabbing? Maybe a bit darker than a normal scab should be? In sense of feeling, it feels as if he's dealing with a wound that has already gone through "the worst" part of the healing, rather than something completely fresh and aching.
Nuria lets out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding when Breldo seems alright. Did it try to heal him? She looks back at the goo on the ground. Well if that's the case then it should be safe to walk through even barefoot. She shivers nonetheless. It still creeps her out.
"All right." Oren nods. "Did you see what I saw? Like you were part of the building?"
After getting any sort of response but when he sees she is done, he states, " I think we should be back to the others, see if they find this furnace, before all the power for it is gone."
Khond glances at Nuria, "You look uneasy. I don't much like the idea of walking through this stuff myself, but having seen what happened with Breldo I think I'll be fine. I can give you a ride over it if you need."

With Nuria not answering her question and Breldo seemingly fine, Asimi goes silent again and moves to retrieve her halberd. Content on following whoever's taking the lead... Which seems to be Rick, where ever he's going.
Seeming a bit slow right now, Nuria barely hears Asimi's question and when she finally registers that the elf was talking to her, it's to late to respond. She watches her move to retrieve her halberd then blinks when Khond offers to give her a ride. She takes a moment to respond as she's slightly overwhelmed by everyone moving to help her so quickly. Though this overwhelming feeling isn't bad it just caught her off guard. She can't remember ever having so many people actually care enough to try to help her. It makes her feel extremely grateful, though also a bit guilty. Maybe if she was more useful they wouldn't have to worry about her.
After a moment, she nods to Khond, though she eyes Asimi. "Y-yes if it isn't to much trouble. I don't want to walk though there without my boots.... I don't think it was trying to crawl on me though. I don't have any fresh wounds. It just...I think- I-it just went into the holes in my boots and socks."
While she isn't to keen on walking through there bear foot simply due to the weird feeling it gives her, she also feels like she'd be less in the way if she just let's Khond carry her.
Sylvera and Oren arrive at the bottom toward the other, just as they seem to be finishing some kind of debacle. Nuria is not wearing her boots anymore, for some reason? And climbing on top of Khond?
Although the latter might make some sense, given the black goop that is blocking the main passageway. Something that both Asimi and Rick are already ignoring for now. Asimi just stepping through it with seemingly no issue, and Rick climbing on the wall. They both arrive at this "furnace" before long.
It does look like a furnace, in some terms. A large, bulky, cylindrical form, with a central hatch that is currently closed. But it's also... Not? It's hard to say what is "wrong", but something about the layout of it makes it obvious it's not for burning just wood or coal. Or maybe it's the fact that the sounds it's making right now is not of something burning, but more like a slow, constant hum, and the occasional high-pitched mechanical whine. It does seem like every pipe that goes through this whole complex seems to come from here. Many of the pipes going up, and eventually disappear into the ceiling, while others line against the walls to the left and right, where other, lesser strange contraptions can be seen.

Asimi glances to the furnace... It looks about the same as when she first laid eyes on it. Perhaps one of the others would have a better insight on it than she did? Oren already seemed to have some understanding of the building, and knowledge of these sorts of things were already beyond her usual wheelhouse.
For now, her attention was back on what Khond and Nuria both had said. Adding to her own curiosity about the goo she turns back to go try and retrieve the other woman's boots. It seemed to latch onto Breldo because he was wounded. But if Nuria wasn't injured why would it try to keep her footwear alone to the floor? She had half a mind to believe maybe whatever it was tries to repair any damages, but it remained to be seen.
"It's a long walk barefoot... careful you don't get swarmed by the goo... we'll pull you out if it does... or try at least.", Breldo says from where he's poking at his chest.

Some of the party glances in the direction of this "furnace", some closer than others. Rick on his part gets very close, examing the hatch. The hatch itself is thick, and double latched, suggesting that whatever is inside needs such protection... But there's also clearly nothing that'd stop him from unlocking it if he'd want to. And just like Oren, one other thing he also makes note of is out of all these pipes that come from this furnace, there is one that is notably different. Most of the pipes come out of the top, and are thinner, while there is one that comes from the back and is much thicker. Suggesting that it's purpose is either different, or much more important..? It leads down the right hallway, along with a few "regular" pipes.
Asimi meanwhile, moves back to Nuria's boots, and gives them a tentative tug. Unlike before, now they come loose with ease, only heavier because they need to be tipped over to let some of the goop fall out with no resistance, and not a single stain left on the inside. Upon close investigation, the holes that were previously present in the boot are now gone. She needs to look really closely to even see the tiny bit of black residue that has stitched these holes together.

When Sylvera and Oren come upon the party traipsing through some unidentified goop, Sylvera pauses to watch. She eyes Nuria as the girl climbs onto Khond's back, leaving her shoes behind, and takes note of Breldo rubbing his wound. So Asimi walked through with no trouble, but because Breldo was wounded, and Nuria's boots were in poor condition, they were stopped by the goop? Well, luckily Sylvera has nothing to worry about in that case. She is completely free of injuries, and her boots are practically brand new.
This doesn't mean she's eager to step in the disgusting substance, but she doesn't allow herself to show squeamishness as she follows Oren over the sludge. She pauses by Asimi as the other elf pulls Nuria's shoes out of the goop. Seeing the woman investigating, Sylvera gives a slight nod of approval. They need to learn everything they can about this place if they want to find a cure for the wasting.
"What do you make of this?"She asks Asimi, still not having all of the details.
Once she receives an answer, she makes her way over to the furnace.
