Breldo's bolt narrowly misses, but this gives Rick the opening to get on the stage and deliver an absolutely devastating blow. For once, there's an actual audible response from the king, but even then the hissing sound he lets out seems to be far from adequate for the by now grievous wounds, dark blood staining his robes. For just a split second, it looks like he may sway, and then.
"What is it even you are hoping to accomplish? Laying siege to me?"
"What fools are you all to not recognize I am the first blood?"
All that black ichor staining his body comes to glow a brilliant gold, and the mans wounds close in an instant.
"I can not die."
On the opposite side of the room, the strange device that kickstarted this whole sequence starts making a sort of "stuttering" noise, as if one of the disks is getting caught on something; the light projecting from the lens flashes occasionally stronger, then dims.
The king waves a hand in a way one familiar with their kind has known many nobles to do. And it seems that even in his time, guards arrive, even if it is in the form of two floating weapons as great swords join him on either side, idly floating in an otherworldly sheen.
"I don't know exactly who you are, but you're scary and started talking about endings, and everything else in this place had tried to kill us, and even insects will struggle to survive!"
Rambling in a panic, Khond's eyes dart about before snapping onto the source of the weird noise, the mechanism that started everything. Darting over to it, the centaur puts his bow away and draws his rapier, "If you're immortal, maybe whatever animated you isn't."
(If I remember mechanics right, putting away a weapon is either a free or bonus action, then drawing another is a standard action? And I doubt there's anywhere near the 30' to the projector needed for a centaur kick even if I still have a bonus action)

(It's a free action to stow or grab a weapon, standard action to do a full switch yeah. So you could stow a weapon this turn and grab the rapier next turn for free too. Either way if your intent is to be next to the projector next round with rapier either will work. It's about 50 feet back so I'll say you're close enough for an free arcana or investigation check if you want.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nuria shoots, trying to aim at one of the spectral blades to see how they would react, but misses; Oren meanwhile, recovered from being forced onto the ground, gets close enough to try and do the same, as his strike shatters one of the spectral blades, as it vanishes as quickly as it appeared.
The remaining blade then in turn tries to target him.
Attack: 14 Damage: 5
While Asimi tries to do the same as Oren did right after.
Attack: 7 Damage: 13
Khond is running back while rambling at this point, which Sylvera seems to join him in.
"Hold on, stop attacking! King, emperor- They're with me, we just seek answers!"
"...My dear child."
"...To walk beside these savages, even as they strike at me, even as they dare say they do not recognize me?"
"What makes you better than the beasts?"

Without any order from his commander Cladmir will simply move close and closer to Nuria with shield up to the point that it will be obvious to Nuria is 100% aware that this new soldier on there team is intentionally providing a walking cover for her if she chooses to utilize him that way.

He retorts, before disengaging and returning to a safer spot.
