Nuria looks at Oren after Breldo asks his question. If she's going to pay for a place to sleep, it might as well be clean. If any of these inns are infested with vermin, there's not much difference between sleeping in a flee ridden bed in a building with rats in the walls, and sleeping on someones roof under an overhang...in fact the roof is probably a better option. Her stomach growls, when was the last time she'd eaten actual food that wasn't stolen? "I agree with Breldo. I-I'd pay more in order to get something better than w-waste money on something no better than what I can find in an alley."
"That's right, lass, take it from an old campaigner, sleep in beds when you can, eat hot meals when they're available, never know when your next one is coming. But just make sure that soft linens and fine foods don't make you too soft to sleep where you need to and eat your fill of what's available."

"Well, in this area of Mezzra, I think that most inns you will find will be that price, and will be rat free, mostly, I think. You need to head to the less savory parts for cheaper and dirtier rooms. Come with me." He leads them a few blocks into the shopping area, still heading somewhat towards his home, and then points out a few inn options. "All as good as the other, as far as I can guess."
He will wait for them to make a choice then bid them a good evening and head home. "See you all bright and early tomorrow. Don't drink too much ale!" he says with a smirk.

Breldo will judge among the options, trying to get a sense based on upkeep, sort of clientele, etc. which would be a good value, with soft warm beds, good food and a bath.

Nuria nods to Oren as he leaves, then waits for Breldo to ask for a room before doing so herself. This way she can simply say she wants the same thing he got, and pay the same amount that he did. Though, if the halfling asks for ale, she will ask for water instead. She's rarely tasted ale in her life, and doesn't want to test her limits at the moment.
When she sees her room, even if small, the area seems like a palace. And the bed! An actual bed! With a mattress and blankets. It's like sleeping on a cloud compared to the rough cobbles, rooftops, or hay she's slept on before. She may have a hard time waking up in the morning....unless the deep sleep brings nightmares.

Khond lays slowly bleeding out, as a nearby Slick remarks that he sees more betting opportunities. Or maybe he could get help. His latest new friend agrees.
"Yeah... Someone should really get help," he remarks. But, just like Slick, seems to have a decent self-preservation instinct.
"...What do you want to bet on next?"
The man, on a rampage by this point, turns toward the elf that tried to hit him with a broom, and yet again tries his by now common modus operandi...

Perhaps, finally, with the rush of adrenaline out of his system does alcohol intoxication allow to take effect against the brute. For their own parts, both people that are protecting their friend keep taking their swings- Hoping to knock him down before he can cause more damage.

The sailor that saved Kit for his own part, isn't looking for further trouble, just dragging Kit further into relative safety, which leaves the centaur further bleeding out. At least for a while, the elf near the back still looking utterly defeated for a moment, helpless, before a spark within him seems him to drive to try. He gets up, and stumbles. His footfalls fall heavy, like cinders striking against the wooden floor, and eventually he stumbles. But even in this state, with fingers seeming to lack fine control, does he manage to drag himself close enough to try and push against the main wound Khond has suffered.
Medicine: 19
The half-orc meanwhile, keeps up his bolsterous laughter as he's dealing with the rest of the entourage. An axe is clearly displayed on his belt... But he's not used it so far, as if he's only toying with his prey. At least two people already knocked down on the ground, whoever remains seems to have no interest in sticking around. One of their voices calling out seeming to have the drunk turn slightly.
"Brussar, let's get the hell out of her before the guards come!"
Neither elf nor human seem skilled in combat, both broom and the next thrown object going completely wide. But, against all odds, do stiff, cold fingers manage to somehow dress Khond's wound to a point the bleeding appears to no longer be lethal, barring something happens. As he pulls his hand back, he visibly winces, gloved hand slowly balling into a fist, before he seems unable to unclench it.
Breldo and Nuria at least take some time to look for a proper inn, while Oren goes to his own home after they shared some idle conversation. Breldo's intuition on what might be the best place doesn't prove that helpful, though... Besides that he manages to lop off the worst offenders. With Oren's direction he's quite confident that whichever options remain will be decent, even if it remains a bit luck of the draw on whether it will be the "best".
It takes Breldo a moment, but he turns to Nuria with a serious look on his face.
"A good campaigner always takes care of their boots, they'll keep your feet dry and warm when you need 'em to. Good to see the innkeeper sees the sense of that."
He turns away, the corner of his mouth twitching up as he heads for the Boot.

The Halfling's serious look catches Nuria a bit off guard. "O-oh? I-I suppose that's true..." She looks down at her feet, examining the holey worn-out leather boots she had...acquired...before arriving to this town. Completely oblivious to the fact that he was just messing with her, she looks back up and continues... "I-I suppose that I should find new ones before we leave. I-If I can afford them anyway. If not I can make due...."She used to go barefoot quite a bit, so even though her shoes are worn, they give her feet a rest from the hard cobble streets. Realizing Breldo has started for the inn, she starts, then rushes after him.
"Rick thinks Rick might bet on the big man getting out before guards come? Rick thinks the guards will get him. What does Rick's betting friend think? One silver? Oh, Rick should go help pull the ponyman to safety."
Rick pauses to see if the bet is on before skirting the fight and going to help Khond.

With some other thugs running off, it seems that "Brussar" isn't planning on sticking around much longer himself. With that said, he's not leaving without trying to deliver one final shank against the elf trying to batter him with just a mop...

Rick slides the silver over to his betting companion.
"Oh look! Rick sees more potential betting opportunity? Or Rick can get help, Rick supposes."
He doesn't make any movement to get help though.

(Oren would no doubt already have suggested some more decent inns around that price range. It's merely that the option is technically there.)
