Khond's got nothing to do other than eat and head for the escort location.
(Rick's question is also valid, because I have no clue how much a centaur would actually eat, or what they'd be built to eat.)

Eventually, one by one, or in their respective small groups, does everyone move back to the adventurer's guild. There they'd already find the subject of their travel waiting for them, elf seated on a bench, looking... Beyond gloom. Given the subject of what they are about to do, perhaps that makes sense, although one can somehow tell it is far more than just that - But only two of them there would realize the full reason as to the why. Even still, the elf dressed head to toe to cover any part of skin, raises his head.
(Also sorry for my slow responding. I've just started a new job and am trying to get settled in a rental house.)
Nuria gives the elf a sharp nod. "Y-yes! We will escort you." She had tried to stop herself from stuttering, but ultimately failed. The elf's demeanor didn't help anything. Then she glances at the centaur and tabaxi with confusion. She recognizes them, but isn't sure why they are here. However, she does not have the courage to flat out ask. Maybe they were hired on the side? ...one of them is a centaur...maybe now they don't need a mount for Pallen?
Oren sees the confusion on Nuria’s face and is certain anyone looking at him sees the same confusion. He, however speaks up. “Fellow ship adventurers. Didn’t expect to see you here. Appears they wanted a larger escort. At least it’s good it is someone we are a bit familiar with.” He says this with a kind of forced smile. It is quite obvious he was not expecting more people on the escort. He then looks at the Elven employer, “Hopefully you don’t expect too much trouble on this trek? Oh, and I am Oren.” He nods his head respectfully to the elder Elf.
"Rick is pleased to meet you all! Rick has an excellent memory and Rick remembers some of you from the boat that was sinking but not sinking? Rick is also surprised they needed more than ponyman Kh-ond and Rick but Rick has lead many successful things!"
Khond moves up to the elf and places a hand over his heart, "I'm sorry for your loss, friend. Maybe if I had managed to handle things better, it wouldn't have gone so poorly, but... I can only make up for my failing by seeing your journey to its end."

Breldo recognizes the centaur from the gate, and the cowardly tabaxi who was on the ship before abandoning the mission, but he's unsure what loss is being referred to.

Nuria's attention snaps away from the newcomers when Oren offers the elderly elf his name. "I-I'm Nuria." She says quickly before her eyes stray back to the Tabaxi. Now that she thinks of it, she doesn't remember seeing him after the fight with the mad sailors. Where had he gone? Did he run away? If so, who in the world would think he's qualified to be an escort....but then again, who would think she was qualified to be an escort...best not to judge so quickly. Perhaps he will prove a useful comrade? She had only briefly seen the centaur after they had escaped the sinking vessel, so she's not entirely sure what to think of him. However, something about his voice makes her trust him more than that Tabaxi.
Breldo nods, all jovial in contrast to the elf, but leaves the actual responding to Nuria and the others. Nuria's response is curt, but formal, in that respect, and while it remains obvious something is very obviously bothering him, he does force a smile in response.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all, then. Thanks for taking the job, despite its macabre goal. I promise you lot will have to deal with that part as little as possible," he notes, and briefly makes an effort to try and get up, but already stumbles a bit. At least one of his hands seems stuck in a position where he can't move it from its balled-up state... He pauses, partially in hopes someone will lend a hand, partially because he recognizes a vaguely familiar face. Pausing lightly at Khond's appearance, apparently unexpected. His mouth drops open, at first confused, before there is a brief flash of anger even though it does not seem directed at Khond himself, before he responds to the centaur.
"You needn't worry. It's not your fault. And you needn't do anything if you or your friend feel forced into anything," he trails off with just a brief, meaningful gaze, before turning back in direction of Oren.
"Greetings, Oren. I am Pallen, although I expect you've already all been told my name. And, no, I don't really expect trouble. I will just need help actually getting there," he says, this time with some shame, and the way he shifts, not so subtly implying he might need some help actually getting up.
"Should be just a few days journey. Nothing eventful, hopefully. I have a cart nearby, if we still need one?"
(Reallly? My perception roll was originally 19, so a 20 with bonus, and without touching the post, it later shows it as manipulated and is a different number. Sometimes this website irritates me)
Everyone seems to take note of an silver-haired elven woman who has perched somewhere nearby and is very much examining the party from only a moderate distance. And probably not just a random street gawker, judging by her elegant attire and an intent look that seems to betray more than just idle curiosity, even though she hangs back for now.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((Sorry for the delay, been busy and distracted the last couple of days. And despite the "everyone," I'll roll just in case, since Khond has historically been blind.))

He'll keep close attention to the amount and what Khond eats for breakfast.
"Rick wonders how many stomachs ponymen have?"
Rick will hand over a letter to the innkeeper to have delivered to his close friend Maziar.
Time allowing, he'll drop in to pick up his ghurna root from Zed and company and to glare menacingly at no longer friend Mamut.
Oren is ready and heads out to the meeting point.

"...You the group I hired, then?"
Breldo gives Oren a jovial nod when he spots him, and looks to Nuria to provide confirmation to the elf's question.
