Only one question from me, then I send little shit back to where he came from. Mordekai looks the human up and down, now perplexed as to why he was so chipper now. You don't mess around when it comes to handling affairs, but if life has taught me any lesson; when easy answer is in front of you, you're not looking where you going. We can take little one back after, what is another minute?
Noticing the combat was now over, Ezid silently took a sigh of relief, feeling a little safer now that this group had successfully halted the encounter. "Alright, uhm, let's see if they had anything intriguing with them.." Ezid would say under his breath as he would attempt to cast mage hand from his hiding place 20ft away from thecombat, in order to lift up some ofthe goblin's rags and clothing, searching for anything of interest, significnce or value. Anything from small pieces of parchment and notes, to coin and weaponry.

Before going over to the rest of the group arguing about interrogating the surviving goblin, Carmen leans against the building and goes blind and deaf. The owl begins circling the environs looking for any other goblins or anything else suspicious.

"These goblins may be without hope of redemption and deserve to die, but that does not mean we should ignore the chance for any answers. If we get nothing, we lose nothing. But if we get anything at all... A name, a location, anything to tell us which way to point your violent urges, would that not be better than wasting the time trying to find it on our own?"
Cozubia drops the goblin on the ground in front of Iefyr. "Do your best, Master Half Elf. If it talks, great. If not, Cozubia doesn't care who kills it."
With that, Cozubia reaches down and tries to rouse the goblin with a few solid slaps to the face. If/when the goblin comes around, Cozubia will pin it to the ground by placing one foot heavily on the creatures chest.
Iefyr lets the strangers bicker before the dragonborn addresses him again. "Please, call me Iefyr." he says pleasantly before kneeling down next to the goblin. He closes his eyes and taps out a short beat on his sheathed blade, casting Comprehend Languages. He opens his eyes again and prods the creature with a finger. "Where did you come from?" he asks, hoping the goblin could at least understand basic common.

You cast your mage hand to begin searching through the goblins body. The hand lifts the bodies, searching their pockets and clothes. You manage to search three of the bodies unseen while the group is distracted with the live goblin. You find 1 gold, 2 silver, a torn piece of paper with unknown partial drawing and a Cloak of Billowing that one of the goblins was wearing.
(While wearing this cloak, you can use your bonus action to make it billow dramatically)

The owl flies over the fields searching for anything of note. Through its eyes, you do not see any more goblins. The only thing of note that you see is about 200 ft out, you see a small campfire, only embers still glowing. It appears to be the place where the goblins slept the night before.

You begin asking your question as the large Dragonborn foot squeezes against his chest. You hear cackling and coughing. It seems to not understand you as the sounds begin to turn into words in your ears only. "Gah... Aghh... Hungry...Food... Gah..."

Iefyr stands up, shrugging his shoulders. He turns to the rest of the group. "I don't know, he's just saying that he's hungry. I guess this was a raid for food." His eyes wander back to the other bodies, and the victims' corpses. Not even noticing that some bodies were already pilfered, he walks over to them while continuing to talk "We make a pretty good team though! If you all do intend to check out the bandits tomorrow, it might be good to go together." He says with a big grin, before kneeling down to pick through the remains, hoping to find a nice blade.

Mordekai raises a hand to the human and reaches into his pack, taking a sample of the ration in it. He kneels to the goblin and holds the ration close to himself, enough of a distance away that if the goblin would try to scurry from underfoot, it would have to get face to face with him. This is all you wanted, little one? You and all the others? Would be shame if you come out empty handed, return to whatever pack you have left and tell them of failure. He then goes to grab the hand of the goblin, if he does, Mordekai would clasp the hand and start bending the thumb back, trying to stretch it out. Back at old home, family would break thumbs of liars and cheats. Would not be wise to lie to me. Where?
Conlaed watches the exchange with the goblin, then walks to Iefyr. He places a hand on the half-elf's shoulder and casts Cure Wounds: 11.
He addresses Cozubia and Iefy, "It was good to try and find out what they wanted, even if we haven't learned much from this little one. But I like the idea of going after some bandits. There's coin in it, and perhaps we could find something more, interesting, for our trouble." He pauses briefly on the word, as if he was going to say something else and changed his mind. "Iefyr, do you speak, erm, goblin? Goblinese? Goblish? What's the word even?"
Telling the whiskered screech to keep circling for now, Carmen refocuses on the scene. “Looks like they haven’t learned much,” she mutters and jogs over, letting herself be seen.
“There’s a camp about 200 feet out. No sign of anymore of them.” She reaches down and pulls her arrow out of one of the bodies. “Any sign of that guy who directed us this way?”
Cozubia considers what is happening, almost knowing how the group will react. But he has to try, right?
"If they only attack because they are hungry, then maybe there is something that can be done? The village has a food shortage too. If we can fix the issue here, maybe it will even help the goblins and stop the attacks completely."
Cozubia eases the weight on the goblin's chest to a less painful degree of pressure. He watches the goblin as Mordekai holds the bit of food out, just in case the goblin manages to free himself from his bindings.
Iefyr looks up at the elf with a smile. "Thank you friend! Yes, I know what he says. I don't speak his language, but the Watchers are diviners. We learn magic to see and to understand. I could see into his thoughts if you'd like." Turning to Lex "Or our arcane friend could just end him. I agree that maybe this issue is tied to the larger problem. Things have a way of connecting like that."

Cozubia glares at Lex, narrowing his eyes as he does so. "Everything deserves a chance to live. Do not confuse desperation with evil, warlock. And Cozubia never said to let this one go. It made a mistake. But that does not mean he is beyond redemption."
Without taking his eyes off of the warlock, Cozubia speaks to Iefyr, "If you can get anything from him, please do. If he is not willing to help, Cozubia will end this one himself." As he finishes speaking, Cozubia grabs the goblin and lifts it up, so that it is on a more face-to-face level with Iefyr, but far enough way that should the goblin try anything funny, no one is in range.
