Flexing his hand for a moment, Mordekai merely nods in approval. He briefly looks back at the tunnels they had left. For a dead-end... it was rather packed with metals. Perhaps this was why the dwarf was so keenly interested in this location, it being rich with materials.
The hand was a fleshy nightmare of bubble popped flesh and exposed tissue, but the healing word had made the wound seemingly disappear under freshly wrapped skin. Is tender. Usually you forget about feeling cuts and pokes with needles. That acid removed toughened skin, and remind me of old proverb. ‘You can build highest and toughest wall, but when wall breaks, all is left is what is inside.’ Is testament of character to what is inside, either one fully prepared for all, or unprepared for failure.
"Aye. Wise words, Master Mordekai." As Cozubia says this, he finds himself in a quiet and unexpected bit of contemplation. Was he as good as he thought he was? Was he as strong and proud? Cozubia thought the answer was a yes. But doesn't evil usually think it is noble and doing good? The answer to that also seemed to be a yes. Confused by the conflicting thoughts, he shakes his head softly and brings himself back to the task at hand, walking as quietly as he can with his friends around him.
You all continue foward, contemplating the position you are currently in. Just a few days ago, you were all strangers. Now, your fates intertwined as you all try to navigate your way through these cavernous tunnels. Hoping to find what the group so desperately needs. Three diamonds, one for each kid accidentally taken. Three diamonds that would right the wrongs of the group.
Now, your hopes are in a small kobold. One whose lead is hopefully leading you to that much needed prize. As you walk forward, Carmen, you watch as Ettelet steps through the tunnel. His light frame seems to sink lightly into the soft ground of the tunnel. As the rest of the group follows, more of the soft ground begins to sink until the floor itself begins to give way. Carmen warns the group a moment before it's too late.
I need everyone to give me a DEX SAVING THROW at advantage thanks to Carmen's nat 20 Perception.
As you walk through this part of the tunnel, Ettelet makes it across as his feet slowly sank into the ground. However, with the weight of the rest of the group, the soft ground couldn't support the rest of the weight and collapsed under the weight. Thanks to Carmen's quick look and warning everyone managed to get through the tunnel before it completely feel through. Iefyr, at the end was the last as his foot started slipping and he started to fall with the earth. Luckily, Conlaed was quick to respond and reached out and grabbed onto Iefyr's arm. Pulling him up that last little bit before the rest of the ground feel.
As the dust settled, and with the small amount of light available, you can look back and see that the tunnel you just went through now drops about 25 ft down across the entire 50 ft length of this area. However, with the mission at mind, the gourd continues forward.
After clearing this tunnel, you find yourselves looking into a large cavern, that splits in to two larger caverns. One is right below and the other slightly to the southwest of your spot. On the eastern edge of the area, you can hear the flowing sound of water as it rushes southward against the cave wall.
Mordekai briefly checks back at the hole. It wasn't going back to the spike room, was it? You say we can find other exit, but even dwarves only knew of one entrance. Could be ****ed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Iefyr smiles goofily, a little shaken from the mishap. "Th-thanks, friend." He mutters a few chants under his breath and seems distant for just a moment before looking back up to survey the room.
"Everyone okay?" Carmen turns at the sounds of some scrambling in the back at sees Conlaed holding on to Iefer. "Phew, that was close. Watch your step everyone...Where to Ettelet? Where are your books?" she asks the Kobold. "And does that water burn, too?" She is anxious to find the diamonds but figures they should find a safe space and the Kobold's hideout seems like the best bet.

As you look around the cave, this part seems empty. However, the two larger areas this opens up to seem to each have something in them. The one directly south appears to have dripping water from the cavern ceiling.
"Careful my new friends. That is where the burning rocks are. Similar to the ones you found earlier Mordekai."
The room to the southwest is most bare on the floor except one mound sitting in the middle. From this distance and with limited light, you are unable to see what it is.

Mordekai Da, Teifling Monk - Level 3
Ettelet listens to the group and begins heading towards his home built deep in this cave. He goes through the tunnel straight ahead.
"Becareful everyone. These rocks tend to slip."

"How bad is it?"

Carmen follows, cautious as always.

Conlaed nods. "I like that. It's what is inside that matters, after all."
He continues to follow near the back, cautiously giving some space between himself and the person in front of him.
