The dwarf looks sheepish at the question, "Well, I suppose you don't repeat three years of beginner's level adventuring without running into the Headmaster on occasion."

Miawynn looks up intrigued when Sylviementions the idea of having their own group get together. Being new to such large group the thought of a large party with many strangers sends a chill down her spine. Not to mention what would happen should the professor find her breaking such rules....
"I think bonding between us all would be good and could help our group advance through this institution."

Alacazar laughs and claps the dwarf on the back, "Well...I'm going to have to assume you won't be having a party tonight...but perhaps you could show me the way to the hall? I only just arrived here, you see. My friends..." he waves his arm in the direction of the group, "...may also be at a similar disadvantage."
He shrugs and turns back to the dwarf, "And maybe afterwards you'd allow me to buy you a drink? I'd love to hear some tales of life at the school. You must have many an interesting tale, eh?"
"You're part of the group, so of course you'd be invited!"Sylvie beamed. "We're on this boat together, proverbially speaking, so we might as well get to know each other. And what a better way to do that than to do a bit of merrymaking?"

"Perhaps we can continue the discussion at the refectory." The young noble says, taking his gear, ready to head over to the dormitories for a well-needed supper.
Following Nepharios' lead, the group heads over to the refectory in the dormitories. The walk between the two buildings is rather pleasant, the path is lined with trees bearing orange, yellow, and green leaves with pink blossom.

“The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules.” ― Gary Gygax
The young noble seems quite oblivious to the beauty of the scenery, instead pondering what kind of assignment the team might get in the morning. As he gets to the refectory in the dormitories he sets his mind to acquiring a meal and something to drink, and a table for him and the rest of the Pale Hand. "That party..." Nepharios asks Sylvie a bit apprehensively as they reach the dormotories. "...is it to take place in or shared sleeping quarters then?"
"We have shared sleeping quarters?" Jinx pipes in, with a mischievous grin. "Well, isn't that cozy?"
The gnome wanders off in search of the grub and returns with a heaping plate of food and a full mug. For such a diminutive figure, Jinx puts away a lot of food. She eats as if she hasn't had a hot meal in ages, which is the truth. Growing up on the streets of her hometown in the Underdark didn't exactly provide many opportunities for a well-rounded meal. As she ate and listened to the others make conversation, she decided she could definitely get used to this new lifestyle.
The half-elf looks at the trees in curiosity, marveling at the colorful leaves. The second the whiff of food hits her nose however, her stomach grumbled to grab her attention. She gets her fair share of food, and her mug filled to the brim. Despite her hands being full, she is able to balance her meal with relative ease. It was easier to do on land. A wide, playful grin widens at the question. "Best place to have it! Can't get in trouble if we're having fun in our own rooms, yeah? Not that we're going all out, just a bit of fun."

When Paartu sees the others get food, he follows them. Looking over the food offered, he loads his plate with vegetables and fruit. They have ruined all the meat with fire. Returning to the room, he begins to eat his food. It is, at least, quite fresh.
"A bit of fun?" Nepharios says quietly, feeling both intrigued and intimidated by not only sharing his room with five other students but also the prospect of having a bit of fun in there already on their first night together. He pondered if a quiet game of dragonchess would be considered a bit of fun.
(I imagined us eating at a table in the refectory.)
"I know a few songs! Old Davie loved to lead them, whether we were out at sea or celebrating reaching land. Picked up a couple of the good ones."Sylvie beamed. "Would love to hear some non sailor ones. But we could do other stuff too if anyone's got ideas."

Gutboy Barrelhouse encourages the rest of his group to sit with the Pale Hand. Gutboy specifically sits next to Alacazar.
Somehow the drunken dwarf has filled his tankard and sips his drink as he talks.
"So, anyway, we're called the Marauders. The half-elf is Barjin, the gnome is Blastum, and he is Balto. But yeah, we share the sleeping quarters; it's part of forming tighter bonds with the group. You'll need it. But to answer your earlier question, I do have some stories about the academy."

While slowly eating the unimpressive food, Nepharios listens the drunken dwarf, hoping he has something useful to share and not simply a lot of sad stories about drinking himself senseless.
Miawynn, never seeing so much food in her life also fills her plate with as much as she can while pondering about the trees they walked past. I’ll have to find some time to check them out a bit more she thinks to herself. Miawynn lightens up as the dwarf mentions stories, “Stories? I’d quite like to hear those if you don’t mind” she passes Ewock some of the fruit off her plate as he takes his seat on her shoulder.
OOC- sorry on my phone (and not the app cause my phone is too old to handle anything else) so I couldn’t color code anything 😅
"Is it story time?" Jinx perks up. She studies the Marauders. "Is your name really Gutboy? What were your parents thinking?"
Alcazar raises an eyebrow at the question, then turns to the dwarf. "Well...since we have apparently abandoned all tact in the matter...am I to assume that you are the son of wealthy parents who is happier here than returning to work for the family business? If so, it's a wonder that the headmaster has not passed you yet, purely out of spite. There seems to be no love there."
He considers for a moment longer, "It must be difficult to continue to fail, and do so convincingly. My hat is off to you, sir."
Nepharios struggles to suppress a laugh at the comments of Jinx and Alcazar, then glancing over at the squirrel on Miawynn's shoulder giving it a brief smile.

Paartu looks shyly at the others. "Can I come to this party? I've never been allowed."

Paartu smiles, which looks oddly predatory on his be-beaked face. "I can sing. I have a very good voice and my lungs are exceptional."
