Backstory: I was just a child when I, Hrunn, disappeared from my home plane and found myself in the Feywild. The Fey who found me took me in, sheltered me, and taught me their ways. It was a magical time, and I learned to appreciate the beauty of the natural world in a way that few mortals ever do.
But as I grew older, I came to understand the true nature of the Fey. They are capricious and cruel, caring little for the suffering they cause. I vowed to use my newfound power to protect the natural world from their whims and to avenge those who had been wronged by their tricks.
Now, I travel the land, using my charisma and my dark powers to further my goals. I am not proud of the things I have done, but I am driven by a sense of purpose that few can understand. And one day, when my work is done, I will return to the Feywild, and I will show them what true power really looks like.
Appearance: He has Iron-Grey skin, curly Dark Brown hair, and Yellow eyes. He's not too tall for a Bugbear, but still rather wide. His ears are filled and covered with hair. His clothing is simple: an efficient very long sleeve shirt with a vest, and some ordinary pants. Even his backpack isn't too full.
Race: Tabaxi Class: Rogue Background: Tap (short for Tapdance of Raindrops) Brief Backstory: Tap has historically been a loner and a bit of a selfish person. He was always a big believer in "me first" and "five finger discount". This served him well, for a time, in the big bustling city of Baldur's Gate, where he could get away with something and then lay low until it blew over. But eventually his unlawful ways started to catch up to him. He had a couple of close calls, nearly landed himself in prison, and also nearly got himself beheaded. He escaped by the thinnest whisker of fate. Now he's on the road, leaving his past deeds in Baldur's Gate behind him. This solitary destinationless sojourn has given him a lot of time for introspection, and he's starting to see how his selfish ways may not have had the best results on his life. Normally he hates the rain, but today's showers seem to be washing away the old Tap. He's starting to feel like a fresh new person, a blank slate. He's ready to try something new! This is his mood when he comes across Liam's Hold and the Black Ford Adventuring Guild.
A little more explanation about Tap, after seeing advice from the DM:
At first while in Baldur’s Gate he was simply stealing things, and was doing ok financially from that standpoint. His closest call that triggered his sudden departure from the city happened when he set his sights a bit higher. Thinking highly of himself, he went for a con job. He played himself as a clever young lord and attempted to woo a rich young noblewoman. They went on several chaperoned dates. (In retrospect Tap realizes the noblewoman went along with these outings with him not out of true romance but more because she was curious about his exotic cat-person nature). Emboldened, at the conclusion of a lunch date, Tap leaned in for a kiss, with intent to cleverly unclasp and take a pendant from the lady’s neck. It was a bold move that went horribly awry as the lady actually recoiled from him at the last second while he was making his move, and he was caught red-handed with her pendant in hand. She screamed for the guards and he had to make a quick getaway. A guard nearly apprehended him but Tap threw the pendant at him to distract him, and he was able to get out of the city quickly with nothing to his name except the pack on his back and a few coins jingling in his money pouch.
Quite chagrined and embarrassed at this utter failure and setback, Tap has done a lot of soul-searching while on the road. He now recognizes his actions as selfish, and wonders how things could have gone differently if he were actually nice and genuine instead. Could he have made friends with the noblewoman, perhaps ended up in a better and more honest situation? He’s willing to give “nice and honest” a try, as an experiment. It’ll be new for him, and he’ll surely be tempted to fall back into his old habits, but for now he needs only an opportunity to try something new!
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat." -Sun Tzu
Background: Acolyte (nor have I tried such a religious character)
Backstory: I am Jheles Nahlonath, and I intend to bring about justice to those who need it. As a Rogue, I use my quick thinking and tough skin as my tools to both help the innocent and support my God, Tyr.
About 30 years ago, I was born in the undersea city, Deephaven. It is a huge farming town built into glowing caverns, with people who worship the evil Goddess of the Sea, Umberlee.
That awful city was not fit for the good, so I traveled to the smaller land town, Pinecrest, where I lived for most of my life. It is a fun coastal fishing town beside a forest, with people and religions so diverse.
This humble town sparked my interest in Tyr, and in it lies the grand temple where I met many other magnificent Acolytes. One Half-Elf Cleric named Kyswalyn was particularly interesting. We share many interests, such as Aspiration.
Recently, a need for adventure grabbed my mind, and I intend to follow it. Wherever I go, whatever happens, Tyr will always be my top priority.
Appearance: Jheles is a dark green Triton with noticably shorter fins and a bald head. He wears neat, baggy clothes with a large leather belt, and some boots capable of being worn by a Triton. A reliquary of a gauntlet is worn around his neck and over his shirt. He looks like a fine gentleman.
Most have written amazing backstories and it was hard but I made my decision and chose a player who I messaged already. Thank you everyone who applied.

Reminder my current players are a paladin, monk, Warlock, Druid. I am not looking for duplicates.

I will make my decision tomorrow.
Sorry, mate. But I'm gonna have to bow out.
