As the group runs towards the fire the sounds of fighting die down and when you arrive at the docks you see the guard assembled outside the warehouse you had been in just last night. It appears they are preparing to forcefully enter the warehouse, the bodies of a few guards and goblins littering the ground outside.

Alan approaches the guards outside the warehouse and waves a hand. "What's the lay?" He asks, hurrying so much he forgets to conform to the local phrasing.

a grizzled old guard turns at your words and in a gruff voice says. "You from the borderlands son? We could use some capable fighters to help us get into this warehouse. They barred the door and we fear they are setting some sort of trap."

Fargrim catches his breath for a second after they arrive. Turning to the guards, he asks, "Have they barred both the entrances?" While saying this, he gestures toward the loading door and side entrance in turn.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Haha! No problem! I'll clear the door." Alan said confidently, stowing his crossbow at his hip and shaking out his hands. He made his way to the wall of the warehouse and began to climb, looking for hand and foot-holds as he went.
Unfortunately, he was incredibly inept and couldn't make it up more than a few feet. After repeatedly slipping at a certain spot, he feigned attack and hopped down to the ground.
"They're waiting for a climb! We have to break the door down." He said, shaking his sore fingers and trying not to make eye contact with anyone who saw him failing.
The guards indicate that the loading bay door is heavily barricaded but the smaller side entrance that you all entered before is just locked from what they can tell.

Fargrim watches Taman head towards the side door and addresses the guards quietly, "We'll head in through the side door. Focus all your efforts on the loading bay door, and make a ruckus like all the armies of the lower planes are at the gate. Green-bellied beasts won't know what hit them when we flank them"
Fargrim rushes to join Taman. Seeing him not quite get the door lock, he says "No worries... try again. Stealth will be our friends with the guards distracting them from the front. By the way, do you think Alan and you would be able to get up on those crates that were in there last night? Assuming that's not what they're barricading with, we might be able to use the high ground to our advantage"
(If the thieves tools don't work, Alan does the following: )
"Ha! It seems like finesse isn't the answer. Fargrim! How about we kick on the count of three? With the two of us, I'm sure we could knock it down." Alan says boisterously.
The lock let out a soft *click* and the door opened to the same interior you saw before. No creatures could be seen but running footprints led away in the dust. The sounds of the pounding of the guard rings through the warehouse as they beat on the much larger door.

Arynn will get his shortsword readied once the door opens, keeping guard on one of the flanks of the group. (Assuming it isn't well lit in the barn, so may have hampered vision)
As you move through the boxes you don't see any signs of the goblins, but as you near the place you came out of the stacked boxes near the central tower you see a trip wire set to cause the boxes to fall on anyone that stumbles carelessly over the tripwire. The footprints pass this direction and towards the tower.

Taman locks eyes with the woman and tries to sound as assuring as he can.
"We'll get your children safe or we'll die trying my lady."
He runs towards the fire with the others and grumbles to noone in particular.
"A few cattle thieving goblins huh?!"
Heeding Dreak's advice, Taman keeps his eyes on the doors, windows, rooftops and alleys that they pass as they approach the docks.
