Fargrim grasps his battle axe excitedly, then at Arynn's words, releases it with a sigh as he drops the flap to let the sleeping creature be. Quietly, he turns to his companions, "Aye. Arryn is right. Let's leave sleeping bears lie and go save those children."
"Ok. Lead on." Alan puffs out, hands on his knees. He follows after the others in search of the goblins but doesn't pay attention to his surroundings, instead just trying to keep up.

You continue up the path and eventually come around a turn in the path to see a small 10x10 cave opening about 200 meters away. Two goblin guards with bows and spears are standing outside. They do not see you yet.

Arynn signals for the others to stop. "They must be at least 500 feet away." He mumbles. "That doesn't bode well for an element of surprise." He looks around for any potential method of sneaking up closer to them, perhaps a higher ledge that may provide cover.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
A wicked grin spreads onto Fargrim face as he sees the quarry in sight. "For Clangeddin Silverbeard!" he cries to his comrades, dashing towards the goblins as quickly as his dwarven feet will take him. The shimmering blue light of his shield of faith surrounds him, ready to block any arrows that fly his way as he runs screaming towards the unsuspecting goblins, battleaxe drawn and poised to rend goblin heads from their tiny bodies.
Solastor is caught off guard but the sudden outburst and sprint of the dwarf, he had absentmindedly been admiring the surroundings. Seeing his comrade charge off toward the foe, he takes his shield off his back and keeps pace with his stout compatriot.
Fargrim takes off with the intention of attacking the goblins but after only a dozen feet or so realizes that there is no way he will catch them off guard and slows. The rest of the group jump at his battle cry and quickly take off after him and the group cautiously but quickly make their way towards the entrance of the cave. The goblins soon see the approaching group and one runs inside while the other places an arrow to his bowstring and ducks behind a rock outcropping so only his head is sticking out. He is watching, prepared to loose his arrow as soon as you come within reach.
(you are currently 325 feet away from the entrance, the short bows range. At this point we will pick up the initiative. Feel free to be creative.)
Arynn will rush forward, dashing down the pathway, using zig-zag motions to attempt to keep their aim off guard (he doesn't really do ranged weapons). If there's a bit of cover somewhere 60-80 feet down the path from his starting position, he'll aim to be near that.
Passive Insight/Perception 14/15 in case of anything along the path as he is dashing down it.
(You can't see the details b/c it blends in with the darkness but it is bigger than your average human)
