You are on the road there is open plains to either side of you with sage bushes and low rubble walls that looks as if they would have been used to keep in live stock.
As y'all make your attacks the line figure disappears. Y'all spot the two one on each side roughly 45 feet from the road hiding in bushes behind the low wall with partial cover
Aquila your attack misses but Marley catches the one on the left high in the shoulder as he pops up to take his shot.
Both attack left aiming for Marley right aiming for Aquila.
Seeing Aquila shoot a Fire Bolt Marley quickly spins back around as he decides that a fight is likely unavoidable. He takes aim (Steady Aim) at the archer on the left and lets his arrow fly.
Attack: 17 Damage: 5
Sneak: 7
Sneak attack does not apply for this attack you did not meet requirements
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing Sam move in, Marley leaves his bow in the wagon as he leaps into action. Drawing his shortsword as he closes in next to Sam (Feline Agility) he attacks the nearest bandit.
Aquila recoils from the force of the arrow and the damage she has taken, "only a flesh wound," she thinks to herself.
Regaining her composure, she casts FIREBOLT as a TWINNED spell (using a sorcery point, 3/4 used), two bolts of flame leap from her open palm and streak towards each of the figures that fired an arrow.
Firebolt Right: 12 Damage: 4
Firebolt Left: 8 Damage: 5
She then teleports off the road behind a nearby shrub to gain some cover

Please know if sneak attack applies or not it's a critical part of your character. (Does in this case and most cases you will be in really)
Basically you get 1 of 3 ways.
Your not in Melee and you have an ally in 5 feet of the enemy.
Your in Melee and no one is within 5 ft of the 2 of you
The enemy has not seen you and you have advantage on the attack. (I.e. surprise attack)
That's how I read it if you read it otherwise let me know
Marley follows moving around the side of the highway man and poking him with the pointy end then raking his back his claws (hit)
Maz spell causes a thunderous noise but the highwayman quickly covered his ears avoiding some of its effects (19 on con save) the low wall near the man crumbles negating the protection it provided.
Aquila's first spell shoots off hitting its target square in the chest. His barricade no longer offering protection and his second spell misfires stunning Aquila for a moment causing her to not teleport (nat 1)

My understanding RAW is basically the same other than:
I'm guessing the first one should read "you are in melee?"
Also I think anytime I have Advantage on the attack, could use it.
Also I have Steady Aim, which Marley has been using a lot in the campaign. I'm guessing you said that didn't apply in the previous attack because I said he spun around?
Marley steps away from the highwayman attacking him with the hooked sword (Cunning Action - Disengage). Pulling a potion from his pocket he quickly drinks it, then moves back toward the cart.
Healing Potion: 6
Alchemist Ring +1d6 when drinking healing potion: 1
Aquila curses under her breath at her wasted attempt to strike both highway men. She first teleports off the road into whatever cover is available within 15" She then reaches out with her MINDLINK to the attacker charging towards the cart...
"Foolish man.... your weak attempt is bound to fail... our party has ended the lives of more formidable foes than you could ever aspire to be!"
She waves her free arm in the air and speaking an invocation, frost forms on her finger tips and a streak of frigid blue light shoots forth towards the figure moving towards the cart (RAY OF FROST, as successful attack reduces speed by 10').
Spell attack: 12 Cold Damage 5
After the attack she moves parallel to the road until she is even with the Cart (so 15' away from the cart/road)
Maz, still hiding behind Sam, yells “i can be quite persuasive!!” Maz peers around trying to see where these mysterious figures are.
