Pressing on down the tunnel towards the unknown. A few rats pop out of holes to watch you. Maz the voice in your head is getting eager the deeper you push, frantically excited for what lays ahead.
After a short walk you come to a cave opening. A rat pops out of a hole and turns into a dwarf.
Eh what the passord? Sniff sniff Not smelt ye all befor new?
Big oaf, and a small human, think he was a halfling, never shuts up? Ate those fools. They must of got lost on their own directions. Alright I'm guessing they did not tell ye the password either. Show me ye bite and you can go.
Marley is surprised and puzzled by Crunch's attempt to bite the wererat, but decides maybe Crunch knows something he doesn't. He stands by with Sam, ready to attack with his shortsword if the grapple doesn't seem to go well.
Maz continues keeping up with the group but can be heard muttering to himself.. or someone in his head. He’s barely paying enough attention to keep up with the group and could easily get himself lost.

Now that your outside the rat nest. The voice in your head is screaming something about caseus, feed, master, feed, kill them all, the time is now.
Aye makes since. Well you seem on the level go in and present ye selves to the king.
He turns back to his rat form and slips into a hole. Poking his nose and beard out back to sitting guard.
Once inside the nest, you are in a large opening with tunnels great and small everywhere. There are dozens of swarms of rats around the place and a few humanoids in their normal and wererat forms milling about. From this main chamber there are 3 large tunnels that exit that seem more cared for then the rest. One that goes north and down, one west and one east and up.
Marley gulps, coming to terms with the fact he is feeling nervous around this many rats. He hesitates for a moment but doesn't want to look like the party doesn't know what they're doing. Crunch seems to have some kind of understanding of these creatures, he thinks to himself, deciding to let Crunch lead the way.
Walking down the north tunnel takes the party in a switch back leading to a large cave directly below the one before.
The cave is dimly lit with torches along the walls. There are rats of all sizes everywhere. Just beyond the visible light (dark vision can see) there is a throne built on a bed of junk atop it sits a bit of average hight and build with a pan flute around his neck. A man dressed in black with a sliver ring on his robe stands to his left. A LARGE rat beast stands to his right. A small somewhat familiar figure is cowering at his feet.
Ah you have arrived.we have been expecting you. Approach! What brings you to my lair killing my subjects?
maz the voice in your head is screaming over and over. There will be blood. To the point you can't concentrate. You feel an urge to murder all.
"Maybe we just take it head on." with a chuckle "Like always."

"Yes... I suppose that is our way," Marley shrugs with a sigh, not sure what else to suggest.

Crunchface bites him. I mean, Crunch interprets “Show me ye bite” as “show me you CAN bite.”
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Lol ok.
The dwarf will hulk out and attempt to grapple.

The dwarfrat picks up and body slams Crunchface. (You are prone and winded).
Ba ha ha. That was unexpected. I like ye but still need to see your bite or hear the password. If not shove off.

I assure you Crunchface Bloodspur is not a wererat, he’s just good at bluffing)
Crunch thinks for a moment and heads to the downwards one, if the party is all right with that.

Marley will follow. Don't stare at all the rats, he tells himself as he focuses on looking forward.
Sam watching all this proceed wonders to himself what this will be like to get out of this place.
