As Finely examines a door he hears muffled voices and hears a pixie say “Everyone’s on the lookout for a kenku troublemaker, but she’s using magic to disguise herself.”
Gan-Re really enjoys his ride. Once completed he thanks the Pug and gives the Pug any ear scratches or belly rubs that it wants. He also uses his claws to remove any leaves that the Pug may have picked up. He then says to the Pug ‘You are a wonderful puppy. Are you here all alone or do you have friends?’. He then casually checks for tracks that would indicate any other creatures nearby that he hasn’t seen yet.
"Hmm," Finley looks around at anyone near by and starts walking back towards the pug ride where Gan-Re is, "When yer done lookin', ye might wannae keep an eye out fer a kenku in disguise. Sounds like a she be causin' trouble 'round 'ere." He looks around at the crowd again for anyone suspicious. Perception20
Hisashi goes straight to the Ferris wheel, hopping in the next available car to go for a round, or two as she happily enjoys her first ride of this type. She sticks her head out the side to see whats below her, dangling her limbs out the side recklessly for fun. "Dis is awesome!"
Val joins Hisa ... [on] the ferris wheel, taking the next car. She feels like she's glad she came. It's hard to feel sad when sitting near the simple enthusiasm that Hisa puts into each new experience. And...oh my!...even though the ferris wheel looked tiny when Val was 3' tall, now that she's pixie-sized, it looks like quite a long drop from the top of the ferris wheel. She starts to feel a little anxious about Hisa's recklessness.
Val looks around while she rides the ferris wheel, trying not to laugh at Gan-Re as he rides the pug. While Val is at the top of the ferris wheel, she looks around the Pixie Kingdom, taking note of any patrons who are in the area other than her party and looking for anything unusual that could be a fey crossing. Perception22
When she and Hisa have gone around the ferris wheel a few times, she gets off the ferris wheel and thanks Chipper for the ride. "Thank you ever so much, Chipper! That was a fun ride. You said that you were gifted with intelligence. Do you come from the Feywild then? From the realm of Prismeer?"
At the mention of a Kenku, Gan-Re automatically checks his real wings to confirm they haven’t been taken. Reassured he still has his wings he turns to Finley and says with evident excitement in his voice ‘What an actual Kenku is here, all cursed by the gods and forced to walk and everything!’ Gan-Re visibly shudders at this fate. He then continues ‘I wonder what they are here for? I know they must be here for the fairy-wings. I bet they are having lots of fun flying around and they will be far too busy to murder us in our sleep and steal our voices’. With another mystery solved Gan-Re decides to head back towards their new friends.

Hearing part of Gan-Re's conversation with Finley as they walk over from the pug ride, Valrieth wonders whether she heard right. Spinning blades? Hamster shields? She quietly thinks that the party has exchanged Abby and her drama for loud, silly boys. It reminds her of the boys who used to talk about the dumbest things and who used to tease her when she was younger.
As they approach the others Gan-Re calls out ‘Moonflower, Glimmerblossom, Mudflap there is an actual Kenku somewhere running, or flying, around in disguise. Isn’t that exciting’
Valrieth tries not to cringe at Gan-Re announcing their first real clue at the top of his voice.
Val takes Hisa toward them and a little away from the ferris wheel. Val says quietly, "That's interesting. Where did you hear that? That's the first real clue we've found since we arrived." She looks around to see whether anyone else is close enough to overhear their conversation. (Perception18)
Once they tell her what Finley heard, she suggests that they split up and ask some of the other pixies in the area. See whether the pixies will share what they know about the kenku. And maybe try to work into the conversation something about Zybilna and see whether the pixies know anything about Prismeer and how to get there. Maybe Gan-Re can take Hisa to the Pug Ride, since he's already gone. He can chat with some Pixies while Hisa rides the pug. Val and Finley can check out the watering can tavern. (OOC: I'm not including Pom because she hasn't posted since they shrank. Pom is also charismatic enough to strike up a conversation with a stranger without having someone else as backup.)
Gan-Re considers the request from Val, he has just come back from the Pug after all. He also isn’t sure what he is meant to be talking to the Pixies about, maybe he can ask them what the Pug likes to eat. However he decides that he really likes the Pug and is happy to go back and see them again.
Gan-Re is slightly nervous of Hisashi, from her movements it seems like she is a follower of the Open-Claw style of fighting, or something similar. The Open-Claw are renowned in Aarakocra society for fighting without armour or weapons. He remembers the advice from his mother, “Don’t upset the Open-Claw, because they can knock your beak off” a truly wise woman, his mother. He decides being polite is the best approach for now, as he likes his beak and doesn’t want it knocked off.
‘Come on Lady Hisashi. You will love the Pug. They are so cute and really fast’. Gan-Re then takes off and flies back toward the Pug.

"We might not even have a couple of hours. We never asked how we return to our normal size and whether the shrinking potion simply wears off after a while."
Finley expresses his surprise that the women know about Zybilna. Valrieth rummages in her backpack and extracts her notebook. As they walk toward the watering-can tavern, Finley notices that Val seems a little more comfortable and relaxed now. Less anxious and thankfully less likely to burst into tears again. She flips open the notebook and says, "I don't know whether Pom already told you about our quest. Hisa and I actually met on the Trade Way: she fought off some ruffians who were harassing me. We traveled together to the town of Liam's Hold where we met the other women. I actually knew Eudith, the paladin to whom Gan-Re delivered the letter? We had met when I was a child. We seemed fated to join up and go on this quest. Of course, now Eudith's gone, so maybe the Fates just wanted me to come here with her so that we could met you and Gan-Re...." She pauses in thought for a moment.
Then she glances down at her notes and starts again, "In any case, in Lian's Hold, our group accepted a quest from an old man named Madryck Roslof. He claimed to be a former adventurer whose patron was the archfey, Zybilna, ruler of the domain of Prismeer in the Feywild. He said that Zybilna was the source of his power, but he has been unable to contact her for over a year. Mr. Roslof said that Zybilna had been good to him, and he offered us a reward if we would seek out Zybilna of Prismeer, help her if she's in trouble, and return to him with proof that she is alive and well."
As they walk, Valrieth is talking without turning her head toward Finley at all. He realizes that the harengon's eyes are positioned more to the sides of her skull, like a pony. While her nose is facing straight ahead, toward the watering can, one of Val's eyes seems to be staring right at him as he walks at her side. He tries not to focus on what Val is saying without getting distracted by thoughts about how to construct a helm that would give Gan-Re an equally wide field of vision.
"Mr. Roslof urged us to travel in haste to the Witchlight Carnival, which he said visits our world every 8 years. He feared that the carnival might pack up and leave before we got here. Supposedly, there's a 'fey crossing' to Prismeer through the carnival. He said that the entrance to Prismeer is hard to describe but 'quite vibrant.' Zybilna was the one who originally created the carnival as a way for mortals to enter Prismeer and beseech her aid. Mr. Roslof said that Zybilna is a sort of fairy godmother to mortals and that she is a beautiful, tall women with long, white hair and a tattoo of a chicken foot below her right eye." She shows Finley a little sketch she made of the tattoo in her notebook.
"And we already told you that when we got here, a mysterious benefactor had already paid for our tickets. But it couldn't have been Mr. Roslof since we left Liam's Hold that day and came straight to the carnival. So, we still don't know the benefactor who paid for our tickets, and based on fairy tales I've heard, it worries me that we may have accepted a gift from a fey without first knowing the price. Honestly, I'm not sure whether we can event trust Mr. Roslof. In particular, he pressed us to go to Prismeer to find out whether Zybilna was OK, but he didn't provide a way to get back to this world. He simply said that if we find Zybilna, and if she is OK, then she could send us back. So, there's some danger that we'll get to Prismeer with no way to return."
"But when we all realized that we had had an encounter where Zybilna had helped us in the past , it seemed like another sign that we were fated to undertake the quest. And maybe getting stuck in Prismeer wouldn't be so bad. My parents were born in the Feywild before crossing to this world, and if we do get stuck in Prismeer, at least we wouldn't be alone. We'll have each other! But for now, we're just trying to act like regular carnival patrons, here to enjoy the carnival rides, while we look for the fey crossing into Prismeer and try to find out anything about Zybilna. I don't know whether the Kenku you heard about is related to our quest, but as I said, Fate brought the two of you to us just after we lost two others from our party. Then you immediately heard about this kenku. It feels like this clue must be related to our quest." She looks at Finley hopefully as they reach the watering-can tavern.
Finley decides that he should get a notebook to write down all these new ideas he's having. "Ye take very well kept notes." Finley remarks as they walk, "it must be some kind o' providence fer us all ta meet like this. Gan and ah came to this place lookin' fer Zybilina as she had helped me greatly when ah were a wee lad afore ah grew me beard and Gan-Re and me met because of her as well."He fishes into a pocket for a coin and holds it up in front of him and a fairly accurate image of Zybilina appears magically above it. "Came 'ere to see if there were a way ta thank her fer everythin' she's done and ta see if she needed anythin'."He shuts the image down and puts the coin up.
"Ah can handle bein' trapped there, Zybilina could help us get home and wit' any deal we may 'ave made, as long as she's alright. So dunnae think about the consequences too much." With the watering-can tavern ahead of them he looks around again before saying, "Let us see wha' we can find about a feathered hooligan."
The watering can tavern is quitle cozy with part of the interior covered in leafy vines. There is a plump pink hair pixie with purple wings, behind the curving counter preparing drinks and food.. There are several tables that have some pixies eating and chatting. An unfamiliar smell reaches your noses, but it does seem delicious.
There is a chalkboard near the counter with the menu
Cucamelon Sandwitches
Thimbleberry tart
Honey mead
Then you see a spiral stair that heads up to the second floor.
Before she gets on the Pug Gan-Re asks his new companion ‘Ooh a job, that is exciting. I had a very important job to deliver that letter, but it’s done now. “Uhh Val might be better at explainin it but we’re lookin for a way to get into the feywild…finding someone once we’re there, makin sure dey are okay ya know?”
Gan-Re perks up at this news and says 'Oh are you trying to help Zybilina too. Finley and I are trying to help her because she helped us in the past. I don't think it's a job though because I don't think we are being paid. To be honest I don't really understand money, my people don’t really do ownership and stuff like that. I leave that stuff to Finley, he is very clever after all. Well, maybe you can help us and we can help you and we can all help Zybilina. That sounds great.'
As they near the Pug, Gan-Re approaches a Pixie and asks with genuine interest 'Hello, do you help look after the Pug? He is such a cute puppy and so happy, you must be doing an amazing job. Please tell me all about him. What do you feed him? How often do you groom him? Does he like tummy rubs?'
