Red the squirrel hands a dandelion to Val. "Here you are now blow and make a wish"
Val takes the flower and turns to Finley and says, "Oh, it's a wish-granting squirrel!" She bursts out in laughter as though she just told a very funny joke.
She eventually settles back down and holds out the flower. "What should I wish for?" She opens her mouth to blow on the dandelion, but as she thinks, she starts to smile...tries to stop...closes her mouth but starts smiling even bigger...and eventually has to hold the dandelion away from her face as breaks down in a fit of giggling. Finally, she takes a deep breath. "Sorry...sorry. I know. Wishes are serious business."
Gan-Re smiles at Val and says ‘It is nice to hear you laugh, small friend’. Gan-Re then tells Val a rather boring and obvious joke.
Gan-Re feels very satisfied with himself as Val laughs heartily at Gan-Re's joke. "Gan-Re! You're so funny!" She reaches out with one hand to lean on him and stabilize herself as she tries to catch her breath.
Val turns back to the squirrel and asks, "Excuse me. When I make a wish, should I say it out loud? Or just think it while I'm blowing away the dandelion seeds?"
Val finally suppresses her giggles, and her face gets very serious. She earnestly says, "I wish...I wish that I knew what happened to Zybilna and how to find her."
(OOC: Yeah, maybe Val should have wished for a cloak of protection, but I thought that it would be out of character for her to do that. She had been very focused on finding a way to Prismeer and completing their quest. This kind of wish is also more aligned with her whole divination thing related to Fate and signs and astrology.
I hope that this wish just provides a hook for later if we're not finding the right clues. But I'm aware that an evil DM could fulfill the wish immediately by teleporting Val to the tomb / demiplane / magical prison where Zybilna currently is. 😬
But Val isn't quite smart enough or experienced enough to think of that kind of danger when making a wish.)
The dandelions seeds drift in the wind. Somehow Val feels this wish was no ordinary wish even though nothing around changes and the Treant continues walking down the avenue.
This large tent is painted with a mural of shifting images that show grinning faeries diving into pools of color. The helical stripes of the tent’s pointed canopies rotate in spirals, and the whole display seems designed to befuddle onlookers. A clown dressed in muted garb stands at the tent’s entrance, blinking at you.
A glass cabinet stands near the entrance with something inside.
Let me know if the party wishes to check out the glass cabinet.
A wooden mannequin of a grinning, raven-haired young woman in witch’s attire and a green flowing cape hovers inside a glass cabinet. At the top of the cabinet, a sign reads “Tasha the Wizard—Known for Her Hideous Laughter.”
A halfling couple holds hands as they approach the glass cabinet. One of the halflings is wearing butterfly face paint. As he drops to one knee and pulls a small box from his pocket, his sweetheart bursts into laughter and begins rolling on the ground. The halfling in face paint begins sobbing and darts into the nearby tent without getting his ticket punched.
The mime gives Gan-re a small smile. Then he looks alarmed at the halfling rushing into the tent without his ticket being punched. He waves frantically trying to get someone to help him find the halfling.
The female halfling stops laughing and stands near the entrance calling for sweethearts name "Rubin comeback. Please come back to me"
There is no answer.
Gan-re does not get any particular insight into the mime's thoughts.

Finley watches in amusement, curious to see if this is a very powerful squirrel.

Hisashi waves at the clown respectfully checking out the glass cabinet to see what’s inside. “Dis place is where da illusions are yeah?”
Valrieth stops first at the clown. "Hello. Excuse me, but is your name Candlefoot?"
(OOC: Is that a pixie? Or a full-sized human with faux wings?)
Gan-Re gets ready to pounce and grab the clown if it tries to run.

The mime does not speak and just nods. He has a very glum expression.
Gan-Re spreads out his magnificent wings and looks at the clown to see if this causes a reaction, such as jealousy.

Val laughs at his expression. "Sorry! Sorry. I shouldn't have laughed, but you have such an expressive face."
In case he's not nearby, Val calls, "Finley! We found the mime, Candlefoot."
Once Finley is there, she continues talking to Candlefoot: "We heard that you lost your voice. Is that really true?"
And if so: "Is there anything that we can do to help?"
The mime gives Gan-re a small smile. Then he looks alarmed at the halfling rushing into the tent without his ticket being punched. He waves frantically trying to get someone to help him find the halfling.
