Candlefoot shakes his head "I am sorry we do not have snails. Perhaps check out the Feasting Orchard." Palasha then says "Yes I trust Burly what is going on?"
Candlefoot nods and picks up Palasha in a princess carry position and follows the group to the Feasting Orchard
“Feasting orchard mhm… das next maybe? And da bugbear sir Burley mentioned…” and she whispers “stealin da special watch be cuz folks are goin missing, Dey are”
The party then heads to the Feasting Orchard where the smells of barbecue and array of delectable food waft through the air. A quick perusal and there at the end of the table are snails cooked in 3 different ways. Music and mirth radiate from this park. The heady scents of flowers, mead, and berry pie waft through the air. Stilt-walkers pluck fruit from trees; musicians drum, pipe, and strum; and everywhere there is singing, dancing, and an inordinate amount of custard.
Candlefoot finds an empty table and sits down with Palasha.
The Feasting Orchard bustles all through the night with the activity of storytellers, musicians, and acrobats. The feasting tables are lined with merrymakers, and dances spring up at the drop of a hat.
There is a sign next to a table piled high with custard
Faerie Cake Eating Contest starting soon.
Any interested party member can join the eating contest.
He is very tempted by the snails, but goes up to the cake eating contest and asks 'I love a contest, however as a carnivore I have special dietary requirements. Do you perchance have a mealworm cake?'.
He is happy to leave the planning to the brains of the team.

Some of the carnival goers clap at Gan-re's acrobatics
The carnival hand at the eating contest says "Sorry there is only custard. If interested show me your ticket and then take a seat at that long table piled high with custards"
Gan-Re shakes his head sadly and says 'Thank you, but no. I doubt it would agree with me. Good luck with the contest.' He then walks towards the table and helps himself to some snails before joining the others.

Valrieth sits down with Candlefoot and Palasha. She says, "Hisa, Finley, I can fill in Candlefoot and Palasha on what we heard if you want to join the Faerie Cake Eating Contest."
Once everyone is settled, Val explains the situation to Candlefoot and Palasha: "You're not the only ones we've met today, and we've heard that it's not just your voice, Candlefoot, that's gone missing. Other things and even people have vanished. And it's not just because of Kettlestream, the kenku. We'd like to help the Carnival, but we can't help until we know more information.
"When we were talking with Burly, he said that he thinks Misters Witch and Light know more about what's happening and why, but they're not telling anyone. Something to do with an Hourglass Coven? We hope to get some leverage over Misters Witch and Light to convince them to tell us what they know. We're planning a heist -- today! -- during the Big Top Extravaganza. We won't hurt anyone, but we'll need to steal something that we can use as leverage.
"We don't have much time to make a plan. But as you saw with Kettlestream, we're very resourceful, and with a little help, I think that we can pull it off. We were hoping that you'd be willing to help us in some way.
"Do you know how the Big Top Extravaganza show normally goes? At least one of our group will need to get close to Mr. Witch during the show, but we don't know how to do that without attracting attention. It would be terrific if someone from our group were chosen as the Witchlight Monarch, but I guess that's up to Mr. Light's scepter.
"Burly also suggested that a "misplacer beast" named Dirgagown?...or Duragron?...Dir-something might be useful. So, we may also need help finding and getting help there.
"We're awfully sorry to disturb the first day of your engagement, and I know that it's a lot to ask. But what do you think? Will you help us to help the Carnival?"
Finley stares at the pies longingly as they sit and he adds, “someone dear ta all o’ us may be in danger and this is th’ only way fer us ta make sure they’re ok.”

The couple look at each other and both turn back to the party "Yes we will help, but what is the plan. How do you hope to steal Mr. Witch's pocketwatch?" says Candlefoot
Gan-Re is enjoying his snails. He makes noisy crunchy sounds as he says 'Oh it's like a hunt, only for a watch instead of a lamb. Let's see, we need to know where our prey will be, sneak up on it and swoop down and steal the prey without the rest of the herd noticing'. Gan-Re feels proud with his analogy and rewards himself with another snail.

"Ah ken try ta rig up somethin' that could cut th' chain if ye give me a moment." Finley offers, starting to go through his pack to find his tools and implements. Looking for a way to jury rig some kind of extending cutting tools or failing that something that could cut the chain for whomever tries it. (Not sure what to roll if it's even possible ^^)

Finley works as best as he can in the short amount of time they have, "Ah dunnae believe ah 'ave th' right materials, my friends."
(Ooh nooo, it went from 18 to a 2 on the die roll in the game log so the Intelligence check is 5!)
