Do you go with him? He just has orders to bring you to management so he cannot answer all your questions. You will know why if you follow him.
To the bugbear: "Just a moment, please, sir."
Valrieth makes a huddle with the others and says quietly, "We wanted to talk to Mr. Witch and Mr. Light eventually, right? Maybe we should just go talk to them now and see what they say. Hopefully, we're not in trouble for that spell I cast by the lake, but if we refuse to go now, I guess we'd be in even more trouble."
Assuming that Finley does not object, we go with the bugbear. And, apparently, some of us are getting hungry! Val is fine since she ate a "cucamelon sandwitch" just a little while ago at the Pixie Kingdom. But now she realizes that Gan-Re and Hisa haven't eaten since breakfast.
"If Mr. Witch and Mr. Light don't have any snacks for us, maybe we can go to the Feasting Orchard next. It's right across from the Carousel."
Gan-Re turns to Hisashi and says 'How do you like to eat snails, Lady Hisashi? I like them boiled with some garlic sauce. Yummy'. Gan-Re licks his rather sharp beak and you are reminded that he is definitely a carnivore.

The bugbear turns and leads the party to the area behind the big top tent. The thick thorny hedge parts forming an arch and he leads you to the staff area. The bugbear leads you to a circle of wagons. Leaning against a particularly ostentatious wagon is an aging clown with a painted grin. He puffs on a bubble pipe and glares at you as the bugbear, ignoring the clown, opens the wagon’s door and ushers you inside.
Mr. Witch with a stern expression says "Take a seat" as he gestures at the bench in the wagon.A flamboyant elf grins from ear to ear as he welcomes you into the wagon with a theatrical bow. “Please come in, it’s a delight to meet you all! I am Mister Light, and this is my associate, Mister Witch.”He gestures to a stocky elf lounging on a bunk. Mister Witch nods to you and doffs his top hat.
Once everyone is seated Mr. Light points to his scepter. "With this I can pick up on the emotions of the carnival goers throughout the carnival. Now there was an incident at the Silversong Lake. Care to explain?" says Mr. Light

"Oh! Was there an incident at the Silversong Lake just now? We wouldn't know about that. We had just finished riding the Mystery Mine -- a fascinating and exciting attraction! -- and were on our way toward the Silversong Lake when the bugbear with the pumpkin helmet accosted us."
"No not just now. Earlier during Palash'a performance. I know you were involved. Now tell me why you caused such a panic" says Mr. Light. His scepter shimmers subtly as you converse
'Why we were helping poor Candlefoot.' Gan-Re says proudly. He then continues 'You see a Kenku had stolen his voice, apparently they can actually do that like in the stories. Well we went looking for his voice and found it in Kettlestream, that's the Kenku. After we caught them Finley convinced the Kenku to give Candlefoot his voice back, well done again Finley, and we became hero's and I learnt to sing'. With that Gan-Re starts tweeting.

Gan-Re shifts his weight slightly, stretches his wings, moves a bit in front of Val and says ‘Vines! Vines! You ask us about vines when you had a Kenku going around stealing voices. Why they could have taken mine next and you ask us about Vines! I think that you have forgotten your manners. Also I am getting hungry and I believe that we were promised food, I assume in compensation for our trouble and heroic deeds in helping your staff and solving your problems.’
Finley watches the reaction of Mr. Witch to see what he thinks about someone talking back to him, in regards to Gan-Re's outburst. Insight 14 (game log)

Gan-Re replies ‘All this talk of snails has made me hungry. Let us go and see the management. Maybe they have some answers or at least some food.’
