"Oh it will cost ... wait a second" she checks a note behind the ticket booth. "Ah. your tickets are right here. Someone has already paid for them. Also everyone needs to wear faux fairy wings." she gives Eudith 5 tickets and 5 sets of faux fairy wings.
Everyone can describe what their faux fairy wings looks like.
Eudith is surprised, and suspicious, to learn that their tickets were paid in advance. She looks to the others with a what do you suppose is going on here look as she hands out the tickets and offers the selection of the various fairy wings.

Valrieth was just starting to count out silver pieces. She stops and stares at the tabaxi with a mixture of alarm and suspicion that you associate with her reaction to Abby's schemes. While the tabaxi hands Eudith the tickets and wings, she asks him: "Could you tell us who the generous benefactor was so that we can thank them properly for the tickets?"
Everyone can describe what their faux fairy wings looks like.
While she waits to pick out her wings, Valrieth asks the tabaxi, "Do all carnival-goers have to wear fairy wings? Or just us?"
Val's wings look like giant dragonfly wings. They are long and thin, mostly transparent but with a blue-green iridescent sheen.
"No I don't have the name of your benefactor. Just notation of your party's general description. Yes every single patron needs to have fairy wings on to enter the carnival."says the tabaxi.
Abby smiles as she picks out beautiful butterfly wings. She looks to Pom and her new friend Hisashi. “How do I look?” She giggles as she hops into the air, pretending to fly by flapping her arms.
Eudith chooses wings reminiscent of those of a luna moth, as fits her overall theme. A little suspect, perhaps, that there should happen to be wings that do fit her theme so well, but she owns it; clearly someone was expecting them and had gone through the trouble to tailor things for their guests. She gives Val a thumbs up at her choice, and can't help but smile a little as Abby flaps her arms around happily.
The moon's phase has shifted in the three days it took to arrive. The waxing half moon. A time when challenges, and opportunities, may present themselves. Eudith reflects a little on what it means for the party, and for herself in particular, as she waits to enter the archway with the others.
Cute as always Pom answers to Absinthe's question. Pom's wings are those of a dragonfly but they are damaged and bruised as if someone shot at them with a blunderbuss.
Absinthe grins at Pom. “Thanks Pommy, so do you! Though all that damage makes it seem like you’ve been hurt and that just makes me want to hug you.” Her grin turns to a pout as she opens her arms. “Come on, bring it in.”
You all can get used to things like that says Pom after moving between Absinthe's arms. No need in opposing it, its better to get it over with. she jokingly finishes with less blood that way
Hisashi still in awe at what she's seeing zones out for a few minute before taking and putting the wings on over her back as they appear to be multi colored dragon wings covered at the top with a bit of blue/green moss. "I like dis... makes me feel like a real dragon. So do we go in now?" She flaps the wings with her hands before making a stereotypical Dracula pose covering part of her face with a wing.
With their fairy wings on the party enters the floral arch and is greeted by throngs of people enjoying the carnival. There are bubbles in the air and stilt walkers in the streets. You can smell the cotton candy from a nearby stall and hear the music of a calliope.
Where you go from here is up to you. Its currently early afternoon on a warm day with a few clouds in the sky. The area around the carnival is soon enshrouded my mist that does not enter the carnival.
"Indeed, a dragon I am" Hisashi mutters as they enter the carnival... "Who know's where ta start?" She starts aimlessly wandering the groups general vicinity.
Eudith walks up and inquires of the tabaxi how much tickets for five would set them back.

Once everyone has on their fairy wings a floral archway appears.
Enter when ready.

Eudith makes a little smile at Pom's statement, she knows how persistent Absinthe can be.
One set of wings remain in her hands: small wings, Hisashi-sized wings. She hands them off to the kobold. What do they look like?
Hisashi still in awe at what she's seeing zones out for a few minute before taking and putting the wings on over her back as they appear to be multi colored dragon wings covered at the top with a bit of blue/green moss. Abby giggles at Hisashi as she watches her flap about and make poses. “So cute! You are a real dragon though!”
But then she gets back to hugging the HECK out of Pom.

(OOC: pro tip. Right-click on the image and and open image in a new tab to see the full-sized map of the carnival.)
Abby looks around, in absolute awe. “Gondola swans? Dragonfly rides? OH MY GODS SNAIL RACING? I’VE GOTTA RACE A SNAIL!”
