Killian hearing the trees go silent again, thinks of the deadwood and how the spirits inhabit the trees, feeling the prickly grass crunch with his weight as he lays there and the overall magic of this place.I don't understand my own magic yet as Mara and Leo seem to have a handle on theirs, and this place is full of it. How can I keep helping the group if I always seem to inadvertently cast magic... Looking down at his feetIve grown longer, flew and was surrounded by music but what if something negative happens to us.
Arcana: 19 (too see if he knows anything about the type of magic he's heard of is being used in this tower)
"We should continue on before anymore of these halflings appear. They may have attacked us but I would rather like it if we did not have to kill anymore of them." Mara says as she readies herself for anything else that could happen to them.
Simmeat wandered around after his rather violent display and contemplated his existence. He thought he caught his wife's form out of the corner of his eye but it was gone when he focused his attention in that direction.
Why must I be tormented so?

Rumble is wholly silent throughout the investigation, but does at least acknowledge "" with a nod, confirming that he would be alright. After all is said and done, a deep sigh escapes the tin man before he starts shifting things about with the halfling. Aside from the mask and skirt, the grass is placed into the pouch, and then set aside on the ground before he picks him up. With a great deal of care, Rumble repeats the process of separating the other fallen from their weapons (if no one else has already absconded with them) before setting them a short distance away from the group.
When all is said and done, the three would be lined up and poised in a reverent fashion, and the earth genasi would stand before them with hands clasped together and head bowed. In again, the softer twist of primordial, he says something.
"Great Mother... Though it may be undeserved, I beg thou forgiveness for your child's folly, however faint the fault may be. And I ask... I ask that you open yourself to these children, embrace them, and see to it that though they have fallen this day, their sudden end is not without recompense. For through you, they may yet nurture the next in a brighter future."
"... I... How do I say this... Uhm… In.. spite of the risks involved, I'd.. like to stay and see to it their properly buried. Preferably closer to those trees, though I'd understand if'n that's ask'n for way to much." He pauses, looks over to the fallen club, and then turns to the others frowning. "That said... 'side from the tree thing, I ain't so much ask'n really. If the rest of ya are in a hurry to find an exit, then yaw'll aughta hop to it -- 'nd none of ya start! I get it! But while one thing may be better for the group, this... this ain't somethin' I can just let go." He says, then more quietly whispers and he looks to the ground, "Not again."
"Yes, we should bury them. It was bad luck that we had to fight against them. But do you think it should be near the trees? They seemed very upset that you had even broken off a branch from one. Burying one of these folks near a tree may be something terrible."
Rumble accepts the offer with a solemn nod, and turns to start work immediately. But at Darnell's words, he turns to the halfling with wide-eyes. "That's why they attacked?" He asks. Rumble turns to look at the tree branch, the forest, and then back to the halflings. "'So it's my fault.." He mutters in defeat. After a long period of silence, the earth genasi sighs heavily, and gets to work digging nearby the group by hand.

Rumble begins digging in the dirt with his hands. It takes a while but eventually he manages to make a ditch deep enough to give a shallow grave to a halfling. Digging by hand is pretty hard work. The soil here isn't particularly good quality. For those who have a green thumb, it is amazing that anything can grow in it; then again this "grass" and "trees" aren't really your typical flora.
(Does anyone wish to loot the halflings before burying them?)
Rumble sees things he didn't really want to see on these pot-bellied halflings, disregarding the pouches on the grass skirts to avert his gaze. There are a couple of poor spears that the two pikemen had. (The rest notice the pouches)
"It's not your...well..." Darnell begins, but stops awkwardly. When Leojym says his prayer, Darnell looks over in surprise that an elf would know Halfling.
While far from perfect, the earth genasi rumbles his approval after seeing the work down. Another would have to be made for the other two, but he'll get to them in time. Even if he his fingers wind up bleeding by the end...
Either way, the others are given plenty a chance to try their luck and roll wisdom saves against turn over the body before the genasi gives them a cursory look over, remove the pouches, and then lays them to rest. "Right.." Is all he utters in response to Darnell's words. All without changing pace or a glance back at the halfling.

Mara shakes her head as they bury the halflings, her now golden eyes watching them with a curious glance. She will mummer something in elvish and then turn to the others to see if they are ready to continue on.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After helping Rumble with the deceased Killian responds to Mara, "I am a little sore, pretty spent on using my magic",suggesting we scout a little and see if there is somewhere we can take a rest even if just for a couple hours. extending this to the rest of the group, "we have been walking for what feels like half if not a full days time since we left Marishall's, besides I sorta wanna take a closer look at this book at some point" Holding up the tome (OOC: I call it the Tome of screaming and blinding light in my inventory LOL) His knowledge of magic very limited if you haven't guessed.
Arcana: 4 (For when he looks at the book later and I mean just the outside, not opening it up again)
EDIT: Yeah so its just an old dumb book, at least i think it is, Makes a pretty shitty pillow though
The book has been silent ever since it was closed again. It just looks like a tatty old tome now.
It has been some time since the group rested, and they have been through a lot this day. They made their way through the caverns and encountered the spirit of stone. They managed to escape its dungeon and make it to this room, and they were set upon by the halfling trio. The sun up above appears to be moving overhead and beginning to head into a setting phase.
If the group wishes to attempt to rest, they can choose where they want to rest. There is in the forest, where there is cover, or the hill where they have visuals over all directions.
Mara seems to be ready to rest, finding a spot of her own to sit down and relax. If the rest of the party decides to find a new place to rest she will follow them and then help decide who keeps watch.
