Darkwing appears to impress the masses, who seem a lot more amazed and interested by the aarakocra. They gesture for the group to follow, some of them saying, "Mahi!" as Dark walks past them.

Rumble grumbles for a second, and then after finagling the chest around, pats Thursday on the head. Tries to, anyways. "Look I 'preciate ya try'na look out fer me. Really, I do. But 'fore we run off and get lost consider'n some of these signs are on the unfamiliar side, let's just go to the tavern, chill fer a sec, and ask around first." He glances over to Killian and the others.

"That's meant fer the group wanting to be there while the rest meet that other feller. We won't be doin' too much more move'n 'bout than that, ya got my word on it Though if'n ya do me a solid and pass along at least a few shells just in case, that'd be much appreciated." He asks of Killian, and after receiving an answer turns to the kids. "Now come along chil'ren. Time'za waste'n." With that, Rumble heads into the building with the mug sign. 

Leojym whispers to Killian as the crowd gathers around, "I actually don't feel too well either, I think I will stay back with Rumble. Make sure Dark is not taken from us" He turns toward Rumble, "If we cannot find a remedy for our aliment, hopefully I will be able to channel enough energy after a rest. For now let us explore a bit, perhaps find a place to rest our collective heads."

Dark whispers to those around him.  "Mahi must be some sort of legend for them.  I need to find out as much as I can about that word."  He continues to follow those who are leading them.

"Yes it does seem if some important. Perhaps it would be best if you did so quietly as they may not react to kindly if they think you ro not understand what is going on." Mara says thoughtfully as she nods to those that had decided to go into the tavern.

Killian offers Rumble the shells that he has in his possession (OOC: which is about 4 if I remember correctly I never put it in my inventory) 

"Mahi? after you." He turns to Dark and gestures they follow the crowd. "Thursday, Mara you two coming along? We will meet the others as soon as we are done and tell them what we found out." 

"Well come on then. But, uhm…" He glances briefly to the others, and then just shakes his head. "Nevermind. To ye 'ol Tavern!" Rumble proclaims as he continues to heads part of the groups charge to the building with the Mug. 

“Maybe someone should stay with Dark? I can pretend to be his servant or bodyguard. I don’t know if any of us should be alone.”

Team Bird

Darkwing and his companions make their way forward through the street. Upon following the apparently self-elected guide, a slightly taller and slimmer figure with amber eyes, they find ahead there is a square with an old statue about ten feet tall of a majestic looking aarakocra of heroic proportions. The wingspan of the statue stretches across by the size of the statue each. However, its beak and facial features are quite similar to Darkwing's. The one whom appears to be guiding the group points to the statue. "This is Mahi, Chosen of the God-Bird." The man says. "He is a guardian over our sacred home."

Team Stomach Bug

Rumble and Leojym (plus whomever is staying with them) bring the two young elves and chest with them towards the building that quickly becomes apparent that it is a tavern. The inside has a potent aroma of alcohol and there are two dozen people in the same garb as those outside. However, they have their face veils removed, showing they are indeed humans, elves, and half-elves by majority, with a couple of tieflings in the corner. There don't appear to be any signs up to show prices.

OOC: Killian was going with Dark with Mara and Thursday at least that was my intention. 

Killian stands beside Dark as they gaze upon the statue. Killian looking at dark and then to the statue then back to Dark again. "Looks like you Dark." He whispers to his Aarakocra friend.

I'm going to take a look around at the people of this city/town, do there seem to be any young children amongst the groups. They always seem curious and would be most likely to approach Dark to touch the god bird. Mostly trying to see if people are looking on in awe, or are afraid that the presence of Dark can only bring bad omens.

Dark approaches the statue closely without actually touching it.  He spreads his wings as wide as possible comparing his to the statue.  For show he lets out a few loud bird screeches then slightly bows to the statue.  To the man he says "When have you last seen Mahi?  What does he protect you from?  Do you know where Mahi lives?"  After asking a few questions, Dark pauses to listen to the man's answers.

The guide walks towards Darkwing. "Mahi is a champion from our ancestor's time. No one except the ancients of The Lord's court have met him."

"It would appear that now is the time for me to meet your Lord.  Please take me and my friends to your Lord."  Dark says to the guide as he looks to see if there are any details about Mahi that might help him.  (Wondering if he has clothing on, weapons, jewelry, does he look healthy, angry, happy, plus anything different about him from Dark or his family members from other bird types.

Darkwing checks the statue over. The clothing on the statue appears to look like a light set of loose robes, with an open back for the wings to penetrate out of. The right hand is adorned with three rings that would appear to have gemstone carvings on them, and an amulet around the neck. He also notes that the eyes appear to be separate pieces of stone, somehow placed within the hollows of the statue, as well as the patterns of the feathers being intricately worked with fine detailing on each one.

Thursday is scanning the area in case things go wrong. She’s looking for escape routes, ways to arm themselves, explosives, or any large structure she could topple in case of a chase.

Team Stomach Bug

"Well butter my biscuit, and call me a slapjack. And here I was worrying over noth'n." Rumble takes a moment to scan the throng, looking and keeping an ear out for anyone speaking in one of the few tongues he speaks. He makes no secret of his effort, and after the moment passes, he pats Leo on the shoulder, and directs to the closest thing to a still empty spot in the tavern.

With all the buildings looking samey and lined almost into gridlike patterns, Thursday feels completely lost already. The guide ushers the group to follow him, "Please, sir, this way to the Lord's halls." He says, gesturing to head further within the city.

The Lord's Halls appear to be a two-story building that looks to be as wide as five of the normal buildings. It doesn't appear that opulent, but does stand out because of its greater size. Above the large archway that appears to lead beyond the entrance there is a marking on a sunburst. "Our Lord and the court are within, Mahi." The guide says. "It would be my honour to announce you to the court."

Team Bug

It is quite difficult to not look inconspicuous as a group in completely different attire to everyone else within the walls. Looking around Darnell can see that there a group appear to be playing with some wooden blocks and have a small pile of coral in the middle of the table. The patrons seem to slowly notice the outsiders, watching them as they wander in. Some seem to mutter to one another, looking at the genasi as if it were an alien lifeform.

At that point a shorter person rushes into the tavern, "Everyone!" The youngish voice calls to the tavern folk. "An avatar has arrived. They look like Mahi!"
The tavern seems to stir at this noise, quite a few patrons getting up and following the youngster out, leaving their drinks.

”Please do announce us.  I am eager to meet your Lord.  Much will be gained by our exchange.”  Dark says as he stands tall.  If I have not already done so I put away my weapons.
