"Thank you Adran, much appreciated!" Shaw says as he turns to the rest of the table, "Now what do we think we should do under our current circumstances? I believe we all have our suspicions regarding Commander Broodfist."
Veldan blinks at Shaw, then gives a smile as he can now see where this was going. "Oh I'm certain that the Commander won't do anything too rash." He assured. "She'll see reason, surely. I doubt there's any need to worry too much." He clears his throat.
"In any case, with the creature dead and your coin delivered, all my duties with you are completed. I have some previous business I really must attend to before it gets too late." Dipping a hand into his robes, Veldan produced the ring and potion they had discovered in the hoard. After the giving the group another glancing over, he finally stepped forward and put them into the Genasi's palm. "Here. I've already gotten everything I wanted with this adventure." He smiled, then stepped back to look at them all.
"Krenak. Thalanil. ..." There was an awkward pause. "All of you, it's been an honor." He gave the rest of them a bow, then spun around dramatically and waved at Adran. "Let us hurry on now Adran, before the hour becomes rude."
"Of course, sir, anything else for all of you?" The man says. A funny look grows on his face as the half-elf and wood elf rise from the table and make for the door.
Callie sees Veldan and Adran heading to the exit and calls out, "Oh, leaving already, there, sir? Care for a drink to-go?"
Tal was sullen the whole way back to the dying drake inn. He didn't even speak to Shaw, Krennek or Erxuk on the way, instead he fumed about how things could have gone differently. He used to be good at manipulating people in power, a maiden schmoozed here a word or two there had once made him the center of attention in Syngorn...Tal must have spent too long amongst the trees. These thoughts swirled in his mind until he arrived near the familiar Azalea Street Park and strode back into the tavern.
Upon entering at the Dying Drake Tal spotted Raz holding a table. Plopping himself near the goliath things seemed to happen partly in a daze for him, the rest of the group arrived, Adran passed out the coin which Tal accepted with a faint smile before retreating back into himself. That's when he heard his name mentioned and glanced up at Veldan who was already walking away. In mild confusion Tal raised an eyebrow yet didn't try to stop them as they left the table. Trying to refocus on what was happening at the table he just noticed the human man and asked, "Do you have anything strong to drink? It's been a long day." Now that he had a few coins to his name at least he could still his mind with a bit of alcohol.
"I appreciate the offer, but it would be wholly inappropriate I'm afraid." Veldan waved off the offer, leading Adran out of the tavern. Once on the street outside, he'd root around into his robe's inner pockets until he found the letter sent to him. Unfolding it, he ran his eyes over the brief message until he once again found the name and address. "Trevas Zarephin..." He muttered to himself, the next breath he took having a bit of a tremble to it. Steeling himself, he tucked it away once more.
"We won't put it off any longer, Adran. Onward." Veldan declared, though spoke more to himself, as he began to march down the streets of Emon to find his father's home.

"Thank you Adran, much appreciated!" Shaw says as he turns to the rest of the table, "Now what do we think we should do under our current circumstances? I believe we all have our suspicions regarding Commander Broodfist."
"Er, of course, friend of Ser Veldan..." The wood elf replies awkwardly.
A pudgy human man with balding hair and some muttonchops wearing simple clothes and an apron comes around with a tray under his arm.
"Masters, would you like to order anything? Some drinks or food, perhaps?" He asks with a smile.
Signaling the man, Razz orders a strong mug of ale and some food.
Veldan blinks at Shaw, then gives a smile as he can now see where this was going. "Oh I'm certain that the Commander won't do anything too rash." He assured. "She'll see reason, surely. I doubt there's any need to worry too much." He clears his throat.
