"Both northern and south passages seems to be frequently used. For whom and how many, I can't say." he says to Alex.
"Only I can say" he replies to Phodoxia "Is that the tracks on the north ere freshers than the one on the south. Either one is good to me, I can go ahead and scout too if you want" he offers.
"Scouting ahead sounds like a wise plan. We don't want to walk right into some kind of trap or hole. The less we suffer, the better. Wee Jas watch over us and our endeavors. I'm ready to proceed down whichever path is chosen."
Solace utters a prayer over the group for their safety, reaching out to her deity for comfort and protection.
"Just to clarify, I am a healer. Anyone injured I will heal, but I find that my healing is more effective the closer you are to death. Do not be fear falling, for you will rise again, strong and ready to fight, Wee Jas providing."She says this with an air of reverence, while also sounding like a warning.
"Maybe you can provide our scout with a little divineGuidanceto help out with the stealthy movement, even though it will only help at the journey's start."

"I'm going. I'll find us a nice sulphur spring."Phodoxia eyes Solace's hand warily, exceedingly suspicious of her speech about accepting death and waiting until they were maimed or worse before healing them. But she steps over to let the tiefling touch her if she wills, tensing and cringing ever so slightly, the barest grimace on her face. Then she turns and scampers off into the darkness of the southern tunnel.
Phodoxia wanders ahead in the dark, scouting the area in the southern tunnel. She makes her way some 60 feet away from the beach before the tunnel opens into a medium-sized chamber some 45 feet long and 30 feet deep. A bank of cloying fog fills the air, threatening to obscure Phodoxia's vision, and the smell of sulphur is both thick and heavy here. She nearly steps into the source of the gurgling, a natural T-shaped pool in the middle of the chamber. Vapor from the heated water creates the fog that fills the whole chamber, reducing vision to no more than 15 feet.

Phodoxia does not see or hear the frogs, and they do not see or hear her. Interesting.
Phodoxia smiles when she sees the hot spring, and, peering around, doesn't see anything else through the heavy clouds of steam. After creeping around a little bit more basking in the warmth of the fog, she makes her way back down the tunnel to the beach and her likely anxiously waiting compatriots.
"There's a sulphur spring back there all right,"she says, when she gets back. "A nice, hot one. I didn't see anything in there. There was a lot of steam and fog, though. Couldn't see much in that. I daresay I was much too quiet and inconspicuous to draw attention, but I didn't go past the spring. Seems safe enough, maybe, and cozy."
Waits for a moment as Phodoxia runs off, smiling in a friendly manner at the rest of the group while they wait, her hands folded in front of her patiently. Once They eventually come back and explain what they've seen, Solace ponders out loud if this is the easiest method forward.
"That does sound like a fairly clear path forward. Thank you for checking that area out, should we take this path or try for another? This one works fine for me." She asks the group as a whole, hoping they come to a decision soon.
"Of course, go in grace and check those other tunnels just in case."
More silvery light comes to her finger tips and dissipates into the form of Phodoxia. Solace nods and urges them forward to and find out what may lie ahead.
Phodoxia waits for the silvery light, and then darts off into the other smaller tunnel, the one in the middle, creeping along quietly down into its depths to see what may be seen.
Phodoxia pads off into the darkness of the middle tunnel, traveling only 20 or so feet this time before the tunnel opens into a chamber 35 feet long and 30 feet wide. The chamber wraps around a fluted pillar of stone that rises to the ceiling like a moss-covered tree. A profusion of tiny fungi covers the pillar and spills across the sandy floor around it.
3 distinct tunnels lead out of the chamber, all in addition to the one you entered through. One stretches to north, one to the east, and one to the southeast.
When Phodoxia described the sulphur springs, Grrzark practically began to vibrate with joy. He says, “While she look at tunnels, I go test springs. Maybe clues there.” He then makes his way into the southern tunnel.
Phodoxia nimbly pads her way around the column, heading for the north tunnel. After about 20 feet the tunnel branches into a semi-T shape, with one branch heading back to the west and the beach the other heading northeast into darkness.
Grrzark's curiosity gets the better of him, and he heads off into the southern tunnel towards the sulfuric hot springs. He finds the same situation that Phodoxia told them about, with the air foggy and wet, a large hot spring in the middle of the chamber. Not wanting him to be alone, Rasen and Solace follow him, leaving Tark and Alex on the beach. Unfortunately, Phodoxia never spotted the true danger in the room, and neither do any of the three who enter, their vision cut down to a mere 15 feet thanks to the fog. And before they can react, they are set upon by a swarm of Giant Frogs leaping out of the water, their maws trying to clamp down on the meal that has so freely walked into their lair!
Two of the Giant Frogs descend upon Rasen, and they easily bite down on the man and dropping him to the ground. 2 more try to bite down on Grrzark, and one of them is able to get the small Goblin in its jaws and hold him there. 1 of them then bites down on Solace, its sticky saliva dripping from the wound in her arm.
Solace cries out in pain at the sudden attack of the giant frogs, pulling her arm back in surprise. She manages to toss the frog away from her arm and stand defensively, raising her shield and grasping her holy symbol tight.
Her hand glow woth divine energy as she gathers it and launches it towards the one that bit her.
Figuring, without evidence, that the west-most tunnel at the fork leads back to connect with the beach, Phodoxia cautiously makes her silent way down the northeast fork of the tunnel.
