The Lionshield Coster is just across the square in town, so there is little chance for evil to stalk them as the group arrives.
Lionshield Coster
Headed into the Lionshield Coster, the grumbling of three dwarves can be heard as they are examining the metallic objects within the shop itself. Linene seems to be tolerating them as they seem to be disapproving of the human craftmanship compared to the superior capabilities of the dwarves.
For Realgâr, the following is known about these three dwarves:
Carry Stonestrike, the female dwarf with well kept orange hair is a maid of the Rubyrump clan. She does odds and ends, and is more protective over Realgâr as he grew up.
Drim Stonestrike, the male dwarf with thin silvery hair. Carry's husband and a groundskeeper for the Rubyrump clan. He tends to the fields near their home, and works as a tracker and hunter.
Ponngram Steelhewer, the male dwarf with thick dark brown hair, and a clan crafter. He has served as a blacksmith for the Rubyrump clan, and is always attempting to one-up other crafters.
Randaler takes the small trinket from Realgar and marvels at it for a moment. "Thank you, my friend." he says in true appreciation. He then proceeds to attach the trinket to the thong around his neck where his other prized possession is kept.
Upon entering the Lionshield Coster, Randaler nods to the dwarves as they turn and look at Realager.
Realgâr enters and sees his retainers, saying in dwarvish
"Greetings my loyal friends. Admirin' human craftsmanship are we? Linene is a good lady so let's not be too disrespectful of her wares, even though you are right about our quality is more renowned. Also, this is Randaler—he is a friend of our kind.
But enough of that, it's good to see you all again. Moradin's blessings on you all.
Realgâr gives them each a handshake and a hand on the opposite shoulder.
He says to Linene in common, "Greetings again Liene, these are my retainers. Carry, Drim, and Ponngram. I was lookin' for them so we'll be leavin'. By the way, we are attackin' the Redbrand headquarters tomorrow, if you wish to join us at the tavern in the mornin'."
He says to Randaler,"This is Carry, Drim, and Ponngram. They are valued friends of mine and my retainers that I spoke of earlier. I do ask a favor of you, if you could make sure no harm comes their way if I am not around then I would be grateful."
Realgâr buys 10 pitons and a hemp rope from Linene since he needs them, and also as an indirect way of saying 'thanks for her patience' in tolerating their comments about her wares.
Saying to his retainers again in common, "I hope your journey was safe and pleasant."
If Linene has nothing major to add, he begins to take them back to the tavern.
In dwarvish to them
Overall, my party means well...I think. If any of them attempt to treat you poorly—you will let me know immediately. I will not tolerate it and will deal with it swiftly.
Carry, the female dwarf, responds to Realgâr in the dwarven tongue.
"Oh, master Realgâr, my how you have grown. It is good to see you out on your own journey. Pray tell, what business have you in such a low end establishment?"
Linene nods. "If you could, though I think you'd be best looking for pitons and rope at Barten's Provisions. Mainly arms and armour here."
"If you can call it that." Ponngram gumbles as they leave.
Realgâr says to Linene, "Ah, well I thought you might have a couple lyin' around. Not a problem, we'll be goin' now."
Realgâr says to his retainers in dwarvish
We happened upon some ore that belonged to this place while performin' our mission and Linene had information about the Redbrands—some brigands in town. The quality of the wares may not meet Dwarf standards, but Linene is an honorable person. Let's at least be respectful in her own place for that. Come, let's grab an ale and catch up on old times.
He motions to Randaler and begins leading them out of Lionshield Coster to the tavern.
(Once back at the tavern)
He asks his retainers how they've been, if their journey was pleasant, and if there's any news from their enclave. After some small talk he asks in common, "By the way, have any of you heard of a place called the Wave Echo Cave?"

Stonehill Tavern
The group reconvenes, a few of the party retiring to their rooms on the floor above to have some peace and quiet.
"Wave Echo Cave?" Ponngram replies to Realgâr. "Well if I'm remembering my local histories right, master Realgâr, 'twas the name of an old mining area. Don't know the details perfectly, but something about there being a pact 'twixt some dwarves a long time ago to use the mines to bring wealth to the neighbouring clans."
Tolben, the innkeeper, looks to Realgâr. "Look, I appreciate what you're all doing, but I'm short on rooms for all four of you. If you don't mind sharing they could bunk with some of your companions, or use the room once we're shut for the night."
At this point, the boy that Chad became the idol of enters the bar, and rushes up to Tolben. "'Scuse me, mister Stonehill. Is the magic man staying here?"
"An old minin' area? Hmm, there ought to be some record of it somewhere." He says to Ponngram.
Realgâr asks Tolbien, "If there is extra beddin' that can be brought to my room, then my guests can stay with me. I will pay a little extra for the accommodation."
He then says to the kid, "Don't believe everythin' people tell you lad, some will take advantage of you. Just remember that."

After showing my new lady friend some magic in my room, I head down to the tavern to get a drink. I'm rather parched after the magic session. I stand at one end of the bar looking around. I assume I'll spot Realgar and give him a nod and a wink.
Realgâr says to his retainers in dwarvish, "My most valued friends, you all must be tired. Please take your leave at your leisure and make yourselves comfortable for the evenin'."
He acknowledges Chad, then thanks Tolbien and says to the kid, "If you didn't notice earlier, you are talkin' to one of the *others*. When and where did he want to see us?"

"By your leave, master Realgâr." The retainers respond in dwarvish, giving a short bow. They don't leave initially, seeming to prefer to try and drain the tavern dry first, asking for some drinks from Tolben.
The boy looks to Realgâr. "He's at the townmaster's hall. It's just down the street." He says. "There was some old guy there too."
”It’s Chadwick Gloomblast my dear boy, but you can call me chad.” I assume I have the d&d equivalent of a baseball card to give him, like a stamped coin with my face on it and the AI logo on the opposite side. If not, I’ll conjure one up
Koko wakes up from a nightmare with sweat all over. She gets up and after she is calm and the imgaes of fire and screaming are gone she decides to head back down stairs.
Realgâr says to Chad, "Just gettin' my retainers settled in for the evenin' then your fan showed up. I suppose we're off to the town master's hall."
He grumbles at the prospect of having to leave the tavern again, but nevertheless finishes his drink and goes upstairs to notify the rest of the group that we are being expected at the Hall. "So that kid from the Redbrand fight is back and says we're expected at the town master's Hall to meet with Sildar. We're headed out if you wish to come." he says through their doors with a knock.
Realgar checks outside to see if Kres is still perched on the roof and says the same thing.
Coming back inside, since he gave his retainers the evening off after traveling, he tells him where he is going, but does not expect them to come along.
Finally, saying to the kid, "Alright, if they sent you then we have to make sure you get back safely. Let's go."

I get Realgar aside on the walk over. “Listen mate, you may not like the way I handle business, but you better learn to live with it. We’re in this together it seems, as least for the time being, and until that time has come and gone, you best stop shooting your mouth off. I have quite a bit to offer to this little group as you have seen.” I slap the dwarf on the back. “Next round is on me.”
I catch up with the kid and make the officially licensed “Chad Gloomblast of Aquisitions Incorporated” coin appear in his pocket. “You’ll find a little trinket in that pocket of yours kiddo. That’s for you to keep.”
Randaler renters the tavern and heads to his room for a quick change into his newly acquired armor. He hears Realgar advise of their being called to the town officials office, so once donechanging hhe heads back down to the main room in time to see the group heading out the door. He hurried to catch up. “What’d I miss?” He asks to the group.
