The ruffians, their shortswords already drawn, begin to slice quickly at Randaler in the doorway.

Shortsword vs. Randaler: 11 vs. AC. Hit: 4 piercing damage.

 They both manage to get a minor scratch onto Randaler (Randaler: 9/18 HP) as they now block the entrance to the room.

INITIATIVE TRACKER

Randaler will strike with his dagger as an Action and his off hand second dagger as a Bonus action. Then will retreat back into the sarcophagus room.

Randaler manages to get a strike in on one of the ruffians before retreating (Ruffian #1: 5 damage)

The ruffians take the chance to try and strike Randaler as he backs away into the room again (Reaction: Opportunity Attack)

Chad yells at Randaler, "Why are you always opening doors!?!?" Chad advances enough forward to cast burning hands through the door to catch the two ruffians. A purple flame builds between Chad's hands before a cone of purple flames release toward the ruffians. 

Damage: 8 Dex save of 13 for half.

Chad steps forward, holding his hands aloft as a fan of flames blasts out towards the two ruffians (ruffian 2 has some cover as he's around a corner). He can then step away to not be on the front line.

Both ruffians manage to duck for cover enough that they only receive some slight singes. (Ruffian #1: 9 damage. Ruffian #2: 4 damage.)

Koko is worried about how Randaler looks and would like to heal him. She uses Cure wounds on him once he is close to her and touches him with a healing hand.

Koko moves over to Realgar, casting a healing spell to restore him up to full hit points! (Randaler: 18/18 HP)

(Not sure why it should've done 5 damage, I rolled the damage roll correctly for the ruffian.)

Kres flies into the room, hurling a kick alongside his quarterstaff's blow.

Quarterstaff vs. Ruffian #1: 20 vs. AC. Hit: 5 bludgeoning damage.
Talons vs. Ruffian #2: 9 vs. AC. Hit: 6 slashing damage.

The ruffian collapses from the staff to the head (Ruffian #1: defeated. 18 damage) as Kres' kick causes a huge gash into the second (Ruffian #2: 14 damage.)

Realgâr, unable to get into the room, takes a [Tooltip Not Found] vs. Ruffian #2: 13 vs. AC. Hit: 7 piercing damage.

The javilin flies but gets caught in the doorframe, making a sproing noise as it wobbles.

The ruffian, beaten to within an inch of unconsciousness, drops his shortswords. "Parley?" he says, seeing that he is outmatched and outarmed.

Randaler looks to Koko, and gratefully says. "Thank you! I'm feeling much better now!" Turning to the Ruffian he draws an arrow and takes careful aim at him. "You're going to tell us everything." he says with as much of a menacing tone as he can muster.

The ruffian slowly puts his hands onto his head, then winces at the huge gash in his stomach from Kres' attack. "First, can someone stop me from bleeding to death?" He asks, looking a little faint. (He is on 1 HP, so guaranteeing his safety is his priority.)

Chad draws a dagger from his belt and prepares to throw it. He looks over the ruffian to see if he is sincere about his surrender. 

Insight: 15

The ruffian seems to prefer living than being killed by an adventuring party. This surrender appears to be legitimate, the weapons are discarded (weren't thrown, so still nearby), but he is going through the general surrender procedure.

Chad will rush the ruffian kicking the dropped weapons away. I then move behind the ruffian and hold my blade to his neck. "You better tell us what we want to know or I'll spill your blood all over the ground here and your poor mother will never find you!"

OOC: (would a medicine check stop the bleeding and stabilize him? if so Koko will roll for that.) Koko reaches out to the ruffian and checks him to stop the bleeding.

Koko will hold out her holy symbol and cast preserve life and gives the ruffian  2 extra hit points and any allies still wounded the rest 4 to each if needed

Koko goes to tend to the ruffian's wounds, who cries out in pain as she applies pressure to it. It appears enough to make him collapse to the ground. (Unfortunately it was a DC 10 Medicine check. If you want to attempt to stabilise him again, go ahead.)

In the meantime, there are the three captives behind the bars, one of them, a woman in her early forties, moves up to the bars. "Please..." She says, looking scared, even after their captors' downfall. "They took my husband. I haven't seen him for days, have you seen him?"

Chad, believing his threat was enough to scare the ruffian into fainting, disengages. He throws open his cloak to sheaths his blade before going to the woman. "I am the great Chadwick Bernard Gloomblast of Acquisitions Incorporated. I'm not sure who your husband is, but I'm sure we can find him. Who is he and where was he last seen?" He looks around the cage for a lock release. If he finds one, he will open the cage. "How did everyone end up here in this cage?"

Randaler watches as Chad does his thing and engages the woman in conversation, shaking his head slightly. Meanwhile, he searches the Ruffians keeping an eye out for a key that might free the other people.

Koko hurries to the fallen man and quickly staunches the wound, leaving him stable. He won't be conscious for a few hours, but won't die.

Chad goes over to the lock on the two women's cage. "My husband... His name is Thel. They took us because he refused to pay them." Chad realises he has no decent tools to pick the lock with, failing to open the cage. "They said we'd be sold into slavery."

Checking the ruffians, there doesn't appear to be any key on their person. They have a pair of shortswords each and donned in studded leather armour, but they have no other personal possession on them.

Kres will move over to the cage, he looks to the look and will attempt to pick it with the tip of his talon.
