You enter the theater again but the stage is empty, but needing to sit down for an hour to recover from the last few skirmishes Laladak and the elves, and anyone else who wants to sits on the benches and the ballet starts back up from the beginning.
One of the black stage curtains flutters, and a small figure steps out from behind it. A baby black bear – or rather, a gnome wearing a bear costume – takes center stage, raises a paw to his lips. And begins speaking softly.
“Night hath fallen in the Magic Woods, and while myriad woodland creatures dream, Willowbough and her faerie friends frolic beneath the sorcerous moon!”
The small bear curls up into a ball on the stage and feigns sleep. Moments later, a female gnome with briars for hair materializes on stage, as though she were standing invisibly a moment ago, and begins dancing. Solemn music fills the theater as butterfly-winged faeries appear from backstage and join the ballet.
As the ballet unfolds it tells the story of the love of a ranger and a dryad, while a jealous wereboar tries to ruin their love by destroying the dryad's sacred tree.
The ballet lasts for about 45 minutes, during the remaining 15 minutes of the rest someone notices that there is a trap door in the middle of the stage.
Laladak opens the trap door to reveal a smallish storage space 20×30 feet and 5 feet deep. The space is full of old cobwebs probably made from normal sized spiders judging from their size. Next to the northwest corner of the storage area is a wooden chest with a mandolin leaning against the chest.
The trap door and the storage area is definitely made for a smaller creature and anyone going through and moving around below will have to squeeze through.
Squeezing into a Smaller Space
A creature can squeeze through a space that is large enough for a creature one size smaller than it. Thus, a Large creature can squeeze through a passage that's only 5 feet wide. While squeezing through a space, a creature must spend 1 extra foot for every foot it moves there, and it has disadvantage on attack rolls and Dexterity saving throws. Attack rolls against the creature have advantage while it's in the smaller space.
Laladak calls everyone up to the stage and shows them the chest and mandolin, and then crawls into the storage area. (Laladak go to the PM titled "Under the stage ". Those of you who are close to the opened door can see something reach out and attack him, a second later a spiked tentacle snakes up through the opening and finding the door pulls it closed
Everyone roll initiatives and anyone higher than a 17 can act.
