"I believe those gold pieces are what we paid below" tentatively, Alben grabs and removes the rods and all gold pieces.
Oreus has stated that he wants to look at the rods, I'm just waiting for him to pick a path to the throne, so I can determine which door he sees while getting there.
Oreus walks up to the first flight of stairs as he does he checks out the door across from him and notices the the door glyph is a "I", he then goes up to the 2nd landing, paying the price to bas-relief (which appears on the compartment above) and taking the southern stairs to the 3rd level he sees that the southern door glyph is a "N". He then walks over to Alben and examines the rods. One rod is engraved with an "N" and the other rod is engraved with an "E". You believe that the rod would fit into the tiny, diamond shaped slot you've seen carved into the doorframes of the gear doors.
(Sorry for assuming some of your actions, but it didn't seem like you understood what I wanted. You have seen all the glyphs now and do not need to roll to recognize them, but you still need to walk close enough to a door to identify the glyphs)
As shadow takes the coins from the compartment he inspects them. “ no these are not the counterfeit coins being made in town, they don’t have a jester on them”

Alben taking charge of the rods (keys) again walks over to the N door (which I guess Oreus let everyone know), putting the key into the place Oreus says it should go and turning it, the gear door slightly slides into the wall leaving a 4 feet diameter circle. Stepping into the new room Alben doesn't trigger a trap. He sees...
A seventy-foot-long, thirty-foot-wide octagonal gallery with a fifteen-foot-high vaulted ceiling. Twenty web-shrouded pedestals stand about the room, and the walls show signs of having once born tapestries and other fixtures. However, the items once displayed here have long since been removed. Two short flights of stairs lead down to a hallway the party has previously been in.
I suggest that from now on either Shadow (because he has been the appointed leader) or Oreus (as he has taken it upon himself to learn to glyphs) take charge of keys (and any others you find).

I'll let the party decide.
(I'm fine with that)
Laladak sees the webbing on the pillars and his skin crawls. He will look up and check the ceiling for spiders Perception 8

Laladak sees one or two every day spiders, nothing to worry about.
Laladak cautiously moves forward. He explores the room ready at any moment to Dodge.
I got alot a doods
After exploring the room, Laladak concludes that it is empty, and holds nothing of interest.
Laladak's shoulder's fall. "Alright, I dont see shit here. Unless someone else wants to give it a try I say we try the mystery door."
I got alot a doods

Didn’t one key match the north exit to the throne room where we found them?
