Durnan appears and makes short work of the asleep Striges with the help of the Strange Drow.
Bert walks up to Ballen with the largest coaster you have ever seen, he then slips the coaster under the bucket. With the Stirges contained, Bert asks Ballen if he can ‘Take the bucket and throw it down the Portal’
You assume that Ernest is still guarding the portal.
You are out of initiative.
Joel starts playing a victory tune and Bonnie goes off to look for another bucket, giving the still dripping Eilla a funny look.
After the fight the Strange Drow approaches you all and says 'You all have my thanks, Trolls are always hard to keep down'. He then looks straight at Sinak and asks in Elvish 'Are you Bregan D’aerthe?'

Sinak nods to Osborne, saying in common “Just got lucky, that’s all. Maybe you’re rubbing off on me!” Then picking up a cloth napkin off a table and wrapping it around his forearm, he looks at the Drow. ((Being a fellow Drow, I would assume that we both know Undercommon?))
He replies back to the Drow in Undercommon, “No problem. Glad to be of help. Can’t believe that the vile beast crawled up out of the portal. Bregan D’aerthe? What’s that? I’m not from here….” And he gives a slight smile to the Drow. Sinak has heard the name, once or twice, but would like to hear what the Drow says in way of explanation.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The Drow visibly relaxes at your answer and says 'Bregan D’aerthe is a group of Drow operating in this area, I have some history with them and I’m afraid that they may start to seek you out. However I'm glad to see more of us returning to the surface and working with our surface cousins.' He then address the whole team and says in common 'Well met all. Your strong arms and swift spells were most welcome in the fight. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Drizzt Do'Urden, a ranger of some renown in these parts. You have saved lives today and that should be rewarded'. He turns over his shoulder and calls out 'Durnan these good folks just saved your Inn. Is there no reward for that?' Durnan just replies 'Pay them yourself Elf and I'll cancel your tab'. Drizzt sighs and gives you 10gp each. He also gives you with a warning 'There is more than the normal amount of intrigue in Waterdeep and I fear that my old friends in Bregan D’aerthe are involved'. Addressing Sinak he says 'I would very much like to speak to them, should they approach you then I would be in your debt if you could arrange a meeting. However I would warn you against aligning yourselves with their cause, as their cause is always their own self interest'.

Bregan D’aerthe are working under the radar as much as possible. They are probably not happy with Drizzt putting their name around, however Drizzt is in a slightly unique position and he probably doesn't care. It sounds like Bregan D’aerthe are avoiding Drizzt for now.
Characters may know more about Bregan D’aerthe, esp. if you have been to Luskan. However this isn’t common knowledge like the Zents and Xanathar Guild.
You can roll a history check, or ask for more information.

She's never been to Luskan, in fact has very rarely even left the city. I'll roll a History check for anything she remembers hearing about them either while working in the City Watch, or from her youth whenever she'd listen in on her father's meetings.
Eilla hasn't been to Luskan, but she's fought her share of Luskan pirates. Still, chances are she doesn't particularly care about this intrigue between drow, as long as it doesn't obviously concern her. She takes a napkin from a nearby table, dips it in a glass of water, and starts cleaning stirge blood off of her self and armor.

Kelytha looks at the money briefly before pocketing it. "Uuh, thanks, we could hardly let a troll and a bunch of weird bloodsucking bats loose in the Portal though could we? I mean, I couldn't. I don't even know where that drake came from! Either way, can't say I've heard of this Bregan Dirth group, sorry. What's your connection to them?"
Ballen reluctantly gets off of the bucket containing the couple of stirges, grabs her share of coin with an all too obvious widening of her eyes and then she dashes off for a minute behind the counter and then slips back to where she was to listen to Drizzt. Her mind though was less concerned over her this Drizzt person, people were always after her, that was nothing new and therefore less concerning to her. She was more concerned about monsters coming up out of the portal as she thought the portal was normally well covered. "Another target on my back," Ballen sighed.
Osborne is aware through his links in the underground that Bregan D’aerthe are a growing presence in Waterdeep. He is aware of them as a powerful criminal gang, who is looking to move into Waterdeep with outside backing. They have plenty of magic and seem to mainly be composed of Drow. They are much more subtle than the Zents and Xanathar.

Drizzt replies to Kelytha and says ‘Bregan D’aerthe are a Drow mercenary company who have operated in the underdark for centuries. Normally I would say that having information on them would be dangerous for you, but given the company you keep I doubt you will avoid their notice for long.’ Drizzt pauses for breath and then continues ‘Things are hard for male Drow, we are often seen as disposable by the Matron Mothers, and Bregan D’aerthe has in the past been a mechanism for some Drow to escape the yoke of the Matron Mothers. However Bregan D’aerthe are not altruistic and care little for those outside of their band. In recent years they have been expanding their surface operations and recruiting non-Drow. I have dealt with their leader on occasion, I believe he has even impersonated me in the past. I would like to understand what Jarlaxle has planned for Waterdeep and look to limit any damage he may cause.’

The relief on Sinak’s face is evident. ”Anyone else in need of healing? Or a rest for the night?”

Eilla is looking a little pale from the blood the stirges took from her. "I don't know about resting the night, but maybe a breather would be nice before we go to find the missing halfling? Where was it he was last seen again, the skewered lizard was it?" She takes a seat at their old table and counts the gold she unexpectedly received.
