As he realizes the pay will be a meager 30 gps, Lucifer frowns slightly, but then lightens up as the doctor also throws in her magical bag into the deal. "Oh, a gala, excellent. So, when we have the egg, where do we find you doctor?" He asks, then turning to the others. "I will of course get to know the curator, I've found women often confide things in me, at the very least I should be able to keep her away from office." He says to the crew with a confident smile.
The professor ignores Lucifer’s boasting and simply says, “I will wait right here until evening and then I shall wait in the alley between the museum and the Sage’s Quill.”
Turning to Windare, Dr. Dannell notices her holy symbol. “Oh, I recognize a fellow seeker of knowledge when I meet one. Perhaps you would appreciate this,” she says sliding one of her books toward the half-elf.
The book is a dry and overly confusing text discussing eldrich horrors. You could probably learn something useful about the properties of the egg but you would need to spend several hours studying the occult text.
Luci gives Parr a confused but amused smile. "I'm not sure I dare ask how you mean we shall enter through the privies."
" Well....there was this one job...."
" But I was referring to entering the gem room, through the back wall of a privy stall would do nicely."
" Still need to get in and up to second floor.....or just overstay at the party and go from there."
She cricked her neck and span her head almost 180, " How long did he say we had til it hatched? Might need to move while the party is still going...that'll make it more difficult by far."
With a small sigh of relief over Parr's clarification Luci continues. "So we're breaking through a wall now are we? Care to expand on that particular part of your plan? I'm certainly no building constructor but wouldn't it be reasonable to think the walls there are at least as thick as the other parts of the wall to the room where the egg is kept. The map the good doctor has provided us with is nice and all but unless we have some real building plans I am not fully convinced the walls between the privies and the gem chamber is quite as thin as this map would suggest. Anyhow, I thought you would pick any lock we encounter so why bother with breaking down a wall." He says with a curious smile. "I also think we perhaps might wait with planning our nightly visit in detail until after gathering information at the gala tonight, good observations though Ms. Ker."
“If there are alarms they will definitely be on the doors,” Dubh suggests. “People generally do not set alarms on walls though. It is worth a look - Interior walls are often a lot weaker than one would suspect.”
Joorin stood quietly at the table considering the map. Now that the details of the plan were being worked out it was vest to let those with experience take the reins of the conversation. Then a thought occurred to him...
"We don't have to wait for the Gala to start learning more about the museum in general right? It's open to the public now. Although probably not the room with the stone if that item's debut isn't until tomorrow. Maybe we should go see what there is to see in the public areas now. And then attend the gala tonight. Either find a way to stay in the museum after close or break back in after we leave."
[Ooc] what time is it now gm? I know you said we got a late start on the day...how long until the gala starts?

Windarë gives Dr. Dannell a smile as he passes her the book. "All knowledge is valuable," she says as she thumbs through the book. "This looks like it could be fascinating, but I'm not sure how much time I will get to read it right now. Could I hang on to it for a bit?"
More interested in the book, she may have missed some of the discussion. But at Parr's comment about the privies, she shifts back to the conversation. "I was thinking there might be an opportunity there too. It's close to where the gems are at. Perhaps we could even hide there to wait out the end of the gala. Avoid a lot of the effort getting to that point at least. Not sure how we would hide though. Or go through a wall."
To Dubh she remarks, "Magic alarms might be on walls. Or near to the gem. I could perhaps try to detect magic to help ferret out such things."
Then finally she nods to Joorin, "Yes, getting in now to see public areas could save us time later. A good idea." She spots the clock and then adds, "We do have a bit of time. Though I guess we'll want to leave to change for the gala."
"Three hours still gives us time to change before the event. It would be handy to find a guard leaving. Follow them home. Acquire their uniform and keys..." Dubh suggests and looks to the others to see if anyone has objections or suggestions.
"Well I'm not sure quite everyone will be swooning over me Ms. Ker." Luci says in an utterly failed attempt to appear humble.
"Breaking down a wall seems a bit...crude though, doesn't it? But fine, go ahead and visit those privies." Luci says to the tiefling. "Assuming the guards bring keys and uniforms back home that is, but yes, definitely worth checking out Mr. Dhiabal, good thinking."
"Well, what are we waiting for people, let's go to the museum. I assume our gala dresses can be found somewhere in the bag?"He turns and asks the good doctor, ready now to head over to the museum when the others are.
" Its an idea. If the guards are allowed to take the keys home.....but its likely as its a museum rather than a gold store or personal residence.", Parr bobbed her head lightly.
Sliding the bag of holding toward the Halfling standing opposite her in the booth, Dr. Dannell says, “Yes, formal wear is in the bag, as are your gala tickets. It’s probably too early to show up for the gala, so if you’re heading to the museum right now I suggest you just pay for regular admission. It’s quite affordable.” Surveying the group once more, she adds, “umm… I doubt they’re going to let you in armed to the teeth. Use the bag to store your weapons and armor when you enter.” “While you’re there, I recommend the archeology exhibit on the second floor. There really are some fascinating exhibits. Why there is one in particular…” she trails off as she remembers the urgency of the situation, “Well, good luck. Countless lives are depending on you!”
"Countless of lives, well, no pressure then, thank you for the peptalk doctor."Lucifer says with an amused smile, standing up and grabbing his gear and handing Joorin his backpack his lute and his daggers to put in the crews magical bag. "Don't worry, we'll have that world-ending egg for you before it hatches and consumes the world, just be ready with that contraption of yours and pray it actually works. So this museum, it is close then I assume?" He adds with a confident smile, ready to leave.
"I believe Dr. Dannell has already indicated the museum is adjacent to the Sage’s Quill," Windarë says to Luci. "I guess that did require inference though, so I suppose it might have escaped you." She gives him a slight smile.
She stands, ready to head out with the others if they are ready.
"There is nothing wrong with my inference capabilities thank you very much, it was merely an attempt to ask for directions but I suppose it will be apparent when we step outside. I do appreciate your acute attentiveness to what I say though Ms. Treynori." Luci says with an amused smile, his dark eyes briefly locking onto the bright green eyes of the half-elf.

Parr Ker studied the map for a few moments.
" Obvious entry point is through the privies, stalls back onto gem room."
" Egress would seem easiest via attic and onto roof."
Luci gives Parr a confused but amused smile. "I'm not sure I dare ask how you mean we shall enter through the privies."

" Better to work where you can't be seen but Gala it is....maybe I'll just nick it when they're all swooning over you?"
" Will there be canapes?", she suddenly said urgently.

You feel like it is probably early afternoon. Looking around the Sage’s Quill you spot an antique grandfather clock against the wall. It shows 2:07.
(OOC: Unless you obtain some means of keeping track of time your characters will only have a general idea of the time.)
