“Aye me good gnome! Nice ta see ya! Har har har!,” the dwarf bellows with only a slight slur to his words. “Dr. Horthnar Stonecrusher tis me name. A pleasure ta meet ye. Tis yer first gala I reckon, otherwise ye’d have realized the free drinks are the only thing makes it bearable.” Putting his arm around Joorin and pulling him close he says in a slightly lower tone, “See that there stuck up elf? That be the museum curator. Rumour has she adores oversized vintage dolls if ya be knowing me meaning. Heard she keeps one in her office as big as a grown human I have!”
The Countess listens absentmindedly to Luci while watching the gala staff intently. When she believes no one is watching she slips a few pieces of sterling silver cutlery into her hand bag.
”Sorry, Dear. What were you saying? The stone? Heard they found it in a swamp or some such dreadful place.”
Parr meanders for a short while then heads towards the rest rooms, throwing back a few more morsels of finger food.
( Once she gets the downlow from from Dubh and a passcard she's going to head for the air duct.)
Dubh indeed passes Parr one of the passcards but also asks her to send Luci this way. "He's the planner, best let him decide how best to use all this," Dubh says. Personally he likes the idea of returning after the event, using the passcards as needed to get in and out hopefully unseen when hopefully next to no guards are working. But Dubh has always been the direct and brute force type of thinker, best lest the boss man decide...
"I see you're not really here for the stone. Have a continued nice evening then comtessa."Luci says with an amused smile, deciding not to comment on the countess' pilfering activities. Unless the curate seems to make a welcoming speech or such, Luci instead tries to gather up his crew to see if a plan can finally be conceived.

She is more than a little pissed that The Hitter managed to do what she could not....but that was just bruised pride. She was truly happy to see the family working together well.

Unless the curate seems to make a welcoming speech or such, Luci instead tries to gather up his crew to see if a plan can finally be conceived.
Parr risked coming back to Luci once more and came in close to him after announcing a love for his ensemble and a desire to inspect it closer, in quick sharp whispers she detailed Dubhs acheivements, the ability to bypass the alarms and whther he wanted them to wait til after or if he was going to cause a scene so they could take it now.
She then withdrew slightly, snatched another four hors d'oeuvre from a passing tray and took an obvious and vested interest in the enormous skeleton on display.
"Key cards to let us pass without setting off any of the alarms, excellent Ms. Ker. How are you and Mr. Dhiabal doing with the curate's office? " Luci quietly asks Parr, seeming quite pleased with the crew's progress so far.
Dubh has been loitering by the latrines for the last little bit. Did I not tell her to send Luci or was there trouble? he is starting to wonder. He considers stashing the rest of the passcards in one of the loos but decides it less risky to just hold them for now…
With a deep breath to steel his nerves, and forgetting his location, Dubh gags a little bit then turns the corner to head back to the festivities himself. He aims to pass by luci subtly and whisper he has done items for him before moving along…
(Dubh will go look for this office his missed if so directed, I just don’t think he’s heard Luci wants it yet.)
When the tiefling passes him Luci would discreetly remind him that he specifically asked him and Ms. Ker to visit the curate's office, the only one of the three possible they haven't visited yet as it turns out ;-)
Dubh resists rolling his eyes and instead shrugs his shoulders and moves on. He considers grabbing “Ms.Ker” but decides it’s easier for one to sneak by a guard than two.
Dubh heads back downstairs. If the flow of people leaving now gives him a chance to slip by the guards and go directly to the offices he’ll take it and save some time. Otherwise it’s back outside, to the secrete passage entrance, back through the tunnel to the basement, back up to the guard room and then some searching for this office he missed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After briefly speaking with Luci, Windarë makes her way through the crowd saying another prayer to Deneir. She works her way towards Alda, first trying to get a glimpse of her, then looking for an opportunity to speak with her.
"You must be Ms. Arkin!" she says excitedly. "Such an exciting evening, revealing this new piece. I'd love to know what's in store for future research on this Murkmire Stone. It seems there are theories but not much investigating this far."
Windarë tries to watch and listen to the woman for any clues about why she might be nervous. (Insight: 11)
Dubh attempts to time his approach to the door but as he reaches out to grasp the locked handle he once again remembers, no theives tools!
Simultaneously, he hears a voice behind him, “Excuse me Sir…” but rather than dealing with the guard he simply turns and walks out the main doors intending to implement his secondary plan.
(I will say that by the time Dubh is able to go all the way around to the secret entrance, infiltrate the Curator’s Office, and return to the gala, the event will be starting to wrap up. Once he returns you will have limited opportunity to remain in the museum legally, so if anyone wants to do anything else while Dubh is making his way to the office, please do so)
Alda Arkin wears a well tailored black evening gown and carries a matching clutch. She doesn’t smile much and she mingles with the thinning crowd out of a sense of duty more so than personal enjoyment. “Good evening and thank you for coming,” says Alda without much emotion. “It is only through the generosity of donors like you that we are able to continue showcasing the incredible finds unearthed in the Murkmire.”
”I’m afraid I don’t know much about the University’s research plans, my days as a Professor at that fine institution are long behind me. Now I mainly deal with the day to day operation of running the museum,” she replies, adding quietly to herself, “staffing shortages and all.”
"Oh, how unfortunate you're having to deal with staffing shortages," Windarë says sympathetically. "I would have thought that such an exciting venue as the Varkenbluff Museum would attract many wishing for the honor of working here. And as curator here that you would work hand-in-hand with the University on research. Surely you must have some time to consider the educational aspects of this place. Although, it does seem you have quite a monumental task in running this place."She gives her a small smile. "And you put together a lovely event tonight."
She continues speaking with the woman, trying to get more an idea about her. (Still using Insight - let me know if I need another roll or not.)
“I wouldn’t know,” replies Alda, “Hiring is normally handled by our chief of security. Unfortunately she is one that didn’t show up to work. Or possibly left work early, we’re not sure.”
Looking a bit embarrassed, she continues, “Look at me boring you with trivialities. You were asking about research? Well the University professors have their own research priorities that we don’t get involved with. The museum’s role is to be a venue to present their findings to the public. In the case of the Murkmire Stone there simply aren’t any findings to present yet, only theories and conjecture. Tonight is really just the unveiling of the Stone, perhaps if you return in a few months the secrets of the stone will have been discovered.”
”Thank you again for your support,” she adds as she wanders off to continue mingling with the other guests.
Luci meanders around outside the Gemstone Wing, ready to stroll downstairs to distract the guards as needed to allow Mr. Dhiabal enter the curate's office unnoticed.
Windarë watches as Alda deftly moves on from their conversation having learned little. She decides to take a few moments to take a glance at some of the other displays, while noting that many of the group seem to have left the gemstone wing. She takes her time, in part out of honest interest, but mostly to kill time. After a bit, she starts to make her way out of the wing to see if the rest of the group is preparing to leave.
(She isn't really doing anything more than observing at this point. I think she's ready to depart whenever it seems the group is doing so. If they do.)
Dubh has made it once again through the secret entrance, through the basement, through the Break Room, and he now stands in the Records Room feeling a sense of déjà vu. A door in the west wall leads back to the Grand Entrance and a door in the south wall leads to the Curator’s Office.
The rest of the crew wanders somewhat aimlessly, studying the exhibits in and around the Gemstone Wing, waiting for Dubh to return.

Parr looked confused, " Not sure which office exactly Dubh got the cards from."
The crew has discovered all areas of the museum and so I will post a more detailed map to aid with the planning:
At this point some of the nobles begin filtering out, heading home or elsewhere. You estimate the gala has passed its halfway point.
