Before they leave, Erbert searches the guide’s body for any map or useful information, equipment. After that, he is ready to go. His excitement about seeing a large, exploding ball of flame passes and he mainly shows curiosity as they start to make their way toward the temple.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Your time will come, paaldaask", Grudnik says to Erbert at the offer of throwing great balls of fire. "We must choose that time carefully though".
He cleans the blade of his glaive as the body of Breland Bel is searched and the lizardfolk questioned, requesting information as to it's rank and authority and the movement of other roving bands of scouts and hunters. Also if there any other threats abroad in the area, either wild or trained by the lizardfolk.
Once ready to depart, he will position himself not far behind Adran, close to Erbert.
Ancidus clasps Victorin on the shoulder before they go. "May your eye remain keen to danger," they intone, before moving to ensure that the coins they placed on their deceased guide's eyes stay in place, ensuring its safety from undeath.
Bel has on him a light crossbow, twenty bolts, two daggers, a map that clearly delineates the route from Adderport to the temple, and a pouch containing thirty gold pieces. Their pack also has basic provisions and equipment to set up the bivouac he mentioned before, though that will probably not be useful to you at this moment. Ancidus' magic casts a slight protective sheen over the body of the shifter before fading away. He looks quite peaceful.
The blackscale leader explains the following:
1) There are thirty between both camps, but most of the folk who dwell in the huts are noncombatants. Any warriors are assigned to hunting parties or to guard the temple. 2) The Poison Dusk and Blackscales are allies. 3) The Poison Dusk and Blackscales despise the soft-skinned folk and, as such, will have their warriors attack on sight. However, if they are accompanied by a warrior of the tribe, it may cause enough confusion that danger will not be immediate. 4) The temple itself is not sacred to the lizardfolk, but they have been using it as a base to better serve their superiors, the high priest of Rhashaak and Rhashaak's children. 5) The only known way through the temple is through the front entrance. 6) This lizardfolk knows nothing about a chamber beneath the temple. 7) This lizardfolk is a hunting party leader and thus carries some respect, but is still subservient to the high priest, the temple guardians, and the children of Rhashaak. 8) There are three other bands out patrolling the area, though it will be some time before they come back. 9) Some hunters recently captured a large and savage beast that is currently being kept in the temple. Attempts to tame it have so far failed.
Ancidus will ask if the warriors vs hunting party vs noncombatants have different apparel or markings to let us know quickly what kind of group it is we might encounter.
Satisfied with the information that Silthras passes on from the interrogation of the lizard folk, Grudnik moves into position, ready to proceed as they had discussed.
As the conversation progresses, Silthras relays the answers to his companions. After a while it becomes clear that they want to move on, so he stands and redies himself then ask their new guide about Rhashaak, Rhashaak's children, and the temple guardians. "We would prefer not to show disrespect or earn their ire, if we can avoid it."
Vic sticks his head out of the underbrush “The immediate area is clear, are we moving?” He cocks his head as Silthras and the others pass along the information from the blackscale leader. “So, even If your new friend can get us past the villagers we still have those within the temple to deal with. We will be lucky if we can get in there without a fight.”
Erbert takes the map, the gold, and a dagger. He puts the other equipment in his bag of holding and readies Rufus to head on as before. “I’m ready, lead the way!” he says with excitement.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The blackscale says that it is easy to tell the noncombatants from the combatants: the combatants have weapons, the noncombatants do not. They are not too forthcoming about Rhashaak, simply stating that they are the god that the lizardfolk worship. Rhashaak's children are divine messengers. The temple guards are blessed by Rhashaak to guard the temple. They do not state anything more than that as they guide you through a trail between the camps. The villagers in the camps hiss and snarl in confusion, but do not make any moves against you as you are guided to the temple portico. Granite columns hold a stone roof 20 feet above a stepped stone platform. Between the columns, a low circular wall rises 3 feet from the floor, surrounding a circular well 10 feet across. At the north end of the portico, a short stair enters the temple proper.
Two blackscale guards stand watch. They hiss in draconic to the colonnade what is essentially the equivalent of 'Prey approaching.' Emerging from the shadows of the colonnade is a large reptilian creature with the upper torso of a lizardfolk and the lower torso of a drake. Its scales are a bright green color and its face is locked in a scowl.
"Kersisk, what is the meaning of this?" The dracotaur roars in the draconic dialect as it stares daggers at all of you.
"I must grant safe pass... Wh... what?" Kersisk, your blackscale guide, stammers in their dialect as they have completed their suggested directive and the magic has faded. They look about as mortified as a lizardfolk can. "Varmystix, I have been tricked by soft-skinned magics - they killed my band and used their spells and our tongue to influence me!"
Varmystix the dracotaur lets out a low hiss at each of you. The blackscales draw their weapons, but hold back. "You trespass on our territory, soft-skins. You kill our kin," Varmystix growls in standard draconic. "Leave this place before we rip you limb from limb in the name of Rhashaak."

Adran becomes much more on guard, not because of what the lizardfolk are saying, but because of how they are saying it (as well as the slight vibrations of his Watching Blade letting him know of the imminent danger). Although he can't understand draconic, I think it would make sense to do a religion check now to see how much he knows about Rhashaak, since he has probably picked up the name in the ongoing conversation. He'd want to be aware of things like how moral, frequent, and dangerous cults of his are. It is his trade to be aware of such things, after all.

Confused by their reluctance to begin combat, Adran speaks to Ancidus in the common tongue from atop his horse. "What are they saying? Are they about to start fighting us? Do they plan on taking us as prisoners?"

Silthras translates the words of the priest, Varmystix, and their guide, Kersisk, as best he can, summing up with "They want us gone or dead, I think. I will try to reason with them."
He then looks at the priest and holds up a hand in appeasement.
"We seek no trouble, nor fight, and only defended ourselves when attacked. Wisely, Kersisk saw the value in our words, but his people did not and paid a heavy price but only after killing one of our people." He shakes his head in regret, "Killed our guide -- without warning -- in an unprovoked attack. It was a misunderstanding."
He waits a moment before continuing, "We seek no trouble here with you, but want to learn of the ancient wisdom of the temple and of whatever lies beneath."
Persuasion (in log): 26 (Deception same, if more appropriate, but Silthras is not lying I think)
Grudnik walks along with the other's, a growing sense of unease as they go further towards in the temple in full of the camps and of the temple guards. As the conversation goes on in the language he does not understand, he looks around trying to formulate some kind of strategy in case it results in violence.
"To stand in the open like this is to court kurar", he says to Silthras.
He looks to find any sort of cover they can move to in order to gain an advantageous position if the situation necessitates it. Perhaps the columns or the entry to the temple proper.
"We have no wish to fight," Ancidus reinforces, "but we have our own tasks to accomplish within this temple. You would spill blood of the unwilling in a holy place?"
Erbert listens to the translation from Silthras and gives him a smile and a nod, saying quickly and quietly “I can help with the use of a little magic if your… persuasion … does not work. Let us try to resolve this peacefully if at all possible.” Erbert sits upright in the saddle of the back of Rufus, getting himself within sight of Varmystix and Kersisk to act if necessary. He readies an action….
((By body language of Varmystix and Kersisk and the reaction from Silthras, Erbert readies an action to cast 2nd level charm person on Varmystix and Kersisk to convince them we are all good friends here, and they should let us pass, and listen to Silthras. If he did this, he would use a sorcery point to cast this as a subtle spell, using no verbal or somatic components, just glaring at them with a squinky eye. No one else would know this is happening. DC 16 wisdom save from Varmystix and Kersisk would be needed.))

Appearing to be unnoticed by the main group of lizardfolk, at least for now, Vic takes in the scene unfolding at the front of the temple, looking for a way to get the group into the temple, or at least to take cover if a fight breaks out. His eyes are also drawn to the well, could that be a shortcut to the lower levels of the temple, or a dead end?

Victorin appears to have gone unnoticed as he sneaks around the main group, but does not spot anything in particular.
Erbert has never heard of this Rhashaak before, but the name sounds Draconic in origin - not lizardfolk draconic, but dragon draconic.
