"You're welcome, grandma gave me one earlier." Falkas replies to Sorith, "the restaurant is behind the waterfall downstairs, don't think we'll have time for it though, hmm. Hopefully our companion was able to keep up with us. And let me know if you see any tieflings." He then folds the map up and puts it back in the inner jacket pocket and walks towards the bar area, glancing over the games he passes, at the mirror and the employee only door as he does.

Why are they called 'tieflings' anyway? Did the first one somebody encountered fling a tie at them? What a waste of clothing.
It is quite easy to see a number of Tieflings around the casino, they are running the games, serving at the bar and carrying drinks. Sorith spots at least three Tieflings who are just watching everyone, you assume that these are guards. The information that the staff are all Tieflings seems to be accurate.

Sinak makes a show of stretching his back, arms as he finishes up the swabbing of the deck, cleaning the boat as it arrives at the casino. “Thankee Captain Thread.” he says, “I hope you like it, did my best to get her clean. If anyone asks you, put in a good word for me! I want to see if i can get a job here. I hear there are good tips! Anyway… thank you for passage.” He steps over to the others briefly when the map is pulled and focuses on it, putting it to memory one last time.
“Well, enjoyed traveling with you. Good luck at the casino, I hope fortune shines on you all!” Sinak says, a little too loud. To Falkas, in a very low voice he says, “Come see me if you need your “mop”, unless you want it now.”. *wink* If there is a moment of distraction in the hub bub of getting off the boat, Sinak casts guidance on himself. ”Guess I better find out about that job…” Sinak makes his way off the boat and into the casino, looking over the lay of the land. He looks for anyone of authority to begin such discussions. He is taking notes in his mind about the layout, he makes note of the mirrors, looks for the doors outlined in green, etc.

(If Sorith points out the Tieflings to the addled Drow) :
Sinak approaches the Tieflings, head bent down, playing the role of the servile janitor, saying “Goodday sirs. Just traveled up with Captain Thread. I’ve heard it said that there were job opportunities at the Casino, for those who are willing to work, and I heard that there were good tips to be had here, for a proper worker. My name’s Sinak and I’d like to apply for the job of janitor, if you please. Me and my rustee buckee and my trusty mop can clean this place spick and span! Do you know who I could talk to about a job?” Sinak stops as he is speaking and reads their faces, giving a smile, and scratches his chin, clearing his throat of some sinus drainage.

"It's in a cave I'm sure, where it's dry." Falkas replies, making sure to move closely passed Sinak as he approaches the tieflings which is probably a roundabout way to the bar, but he does it anyway. "Not to drink, Sorith. Just follow me and I'll make it clear when we have the opportunity." He stops at the nearest game table that's crowded and smiles at them. "Just watching, can't decide If I want to jump in." He doesn't listen much to the reply, but focuses on Sinak's conversation if able.

Sorith jerks a thumb at one of the guards, hopefully before Sinak walks off to speak to one of the staff. "Oh, but it's probably still not fun going through the waterfall to get to the other side. Why would they want their customers to eat while soaked to the bone?" She shrugs and, when Falkas stops by a gaming table, the dragonborn does the same. Following him is simple enough, but she keeps quiet and crosses her arms over her chest instead when Falkas talks about possibly jumping in on the game. Not really her thing.
(One reason that Elovar wanted to walk from the docks to the waterfall was that he was curious to see whether there was really a waterfall at the other side. That is, if they were rowing upstream against the current to the Afterlife Casino, then he would expect that the river flows out of the casino in the direction that they just came. But if that same river also goes over a waterfall that goes down from this level at the far end of the casino, the river must be flowing in that direction, too. Is there a point in the casino where the river seems to be flowing in both directions? Is there some sort of water source in the middle of the casino so that the river flows in both directions from that source?)
El can see the water flowing through the casino towards the docks. She can hear the distance sounds of a waterfall but cannot see the source of the water from the current cave level or see the waterfall. She would need to explore to see more. You do note that the river in the casino is quite small and ornamental. It is obviously a fraction of the water feeding the greater river you have been travelling on. You couldn't sail a boat of any size in the casino.
As the boat passed into the tunnel, Chrys flew back out over the water, near the surface, hopefully not drawing attention to herself. As the others disembark she will land nearby, and walk over to join Elovar as he explores the casino.
Many of the patrons are wealthy. This seems like a place for those with money. You don't see many obviously poor patrons. Elovar can roll a history check to see if they recognise anyone.

(OOC: Ah. From the map, Elovar thought that the overlook at the north end of the casino/temple/cave was open to the northeast. He expected a railing or balcony there that gave patrons a view out over the waterfall. If the NE wall there is solid, then I'm not sure why that area is marked as an overlook. What is it looking over?)
As the boat passed into the tunnel, Chrys flew back out over the water, near the surface, hopefully not drawing attention to herself. As the others disembark she will land nearby, and walk over to join Elovar as he explores the casino.
As they make their circuit, and start heading south along the east side of the water channel inside the casino, Elovar notes the head of the spiral staircase. He doesn't know what Chrys has heard and what she missed earlier, but he mentions that the stairs lead down to a proper restaurant.
After the entrance to the spa, Elovar sees that there's a stretch of wall where there are no security mirrors nearby. He checks that there are no tiefling workers or other patrons too near. Then he finally interrupts their smalltalk by asking Chrys, being careful not to be too obvious in case they are overheard: "The poor drow elf from the boat that I arrived on seems intent on getting a job here at the Afterlife Casino. What is your 'story'? Why are you here? Are we here 'together'? Do you plan to enter the tournament? Or just do some gambling at the public tables and then watch the tournament?"
The tournament appears to have started, you can investigate further if you want more details.
After Elovar and Chrys figure out their cover story, Elovar suggests doubling back to the tournament hall to find out more details. (For example, is it too late to enter? What are the rules? And when do they expect that the tournament will be over?) He looks for a tiefling that seems to be supervising or guarding access to the area and politely asks, "I am newly-arrived here, and I heard that the Afterlife Casino is holding a tournament. Where can I find more information about it?"

The guard keeps his eyes on the patrons, careful not to be too distracted. He responds to Sinak "Well, hiring janitors isn't really my job. Although I would say the water from the river gets everywhere. I know it looks nice, but it's a real safety hazard. I spend more time picking people up than catching pickpockets. You do know we have a whole Tiefling theme thing going on, don't you?"

He's hoping that if he leaves the conversation just long enough, the elves will introduce themselves to Chrys, and he'll at least get their names.
As Elovar steps back, he turns to look behind Chrys to see whether there's a tiefling (non-guard employee) close by. If there is, he tries to signal them to come closer so that he can ask a question while remaining within earshot of the elves.
