"I'm Falkas, the mighty baguette wielder and skilled fighter. Twelve is right, although we may have stumbled into this quest through the will of the universe and destiny and all that, but I really need this big win to impress my boss." He pauses as he looks around the party real fast, "We got to get access to the security room which has access to all the magic mirrors around the place, which we will need these magical pass cards to go through. If you can speak gnomish grandma Vrak can tell you more."
(OOC: it's not clear to me whether the group is still gathering around the drakes or whether we're talking as we walk toward the temple / casino.)
Before they head out, Elovar spends a moment to adjust his gear, trying to fit the breastplate of his new studded leather armor more comfortably. You may notice that the white shirt he's wearing under the breastplate is a stylish, high-collared item of fine linen. The long coat that he pulls on over his armor also looks expensive. It's multi-layered and the fasteners (buttons, if that's not anachronistic) look like polished silver. He pulls back his dark hair to get it out of his face, and you see slightly-pointed ears. With his green-blue eyes, pale skin, and neatly trimmed beard, you'd say half moon-elf / half human. Elovar doesn't look young, but his hair doesn't show any signs of graying, yet.
Elovar responds to Falkas, trying to catch up on their current status, "Well met, Falkas baguette-wielder! I'm Elovar. Like Sinak, I too know some spells that may be of some help."
"So...you have been to this this place already? What else can you tell us about it? How large is it? Is it open to the public, or do we need an invitation to get in? Do we need to stash any of our gear, or would we be allowed to enter with our current armor and weapons? Do we have a few days to scope out the location and do some reconnaissance? Or is tonight our last opportunity to acquire this statue?"
Anyone can roll a history check to recall general knowledge about how casino's and tournamentsgenerally operater. Anyone who speaks Gnomish or undercommon can ask Vrakhazar. OG Players can also share the maps they were given with the new players. There is also likely to be details available at the casino.

(OOC: yep. So far, all Elovar knows is that they went through the portal to help this group of adventurers to steal a statue from a casino. He doesn't know that they have a map or any of the details from earlier. Hopefully, the original group just shares all of the details that they have with Sorith, Sinak, and Elovar. But any details about timing that we can get from Vrakhazar would be good to know, too.)
"Well, look it's for a disguise so we can get to the big part of sticking that statue in a magical bucket which means this powerful evil god is disrupted which would be big points to you with the others if you can show up a god." Falkas whispers, holding his hand out for the mop to appear still. He looks back and forth before saying aloud. "Uh, yes, well met! I've never been there before, but grandma might know something about what's going on there and we got these maps!"He uses his other hand to pull out the map from a pocket on the inside of his jacket and flips it open so the others can see.

While the group is walking past the corpse of another drake (this one far more intact), Sorith pauses to pry a loose tooth from its maw, though her nose wrinkles at the sight of a bit of flesh stuck to the point.
Ah, well, I'll clean that off later, she thinks as she pockets her newly acquired trophy. Seeing that the others are still on the move, the barbarian jogs to catch up before falling into step next to Bread Boy Falkas, and her brow wrinkles in confusion when she hears him refer to the small cleric woman as 'grandma'.
"Wait, she's your grandma?" the dragonborn asks, confusion in her voice as she gestures between Falkas and Vrak. "How's that even work?!Sure, you two look similar... a bit, but she's so much smaller than you!"
Falkas knows that generally casinos can run all night and never close. There are often areas for short rests, meals, and drinks alongside the gambling. Tournament can vary in length, because they keep going until there is a winner. A big tournament can last several days, with breaks for the participants.

"Ah, ha!"Falkas smiles and spins the mop in one hand. "We have a mop and a dream. So the only thing I really know about casinos like this is that they are open all night, never close and the tournaments can last for a very long time depending on the skill of the players. There's also a restaurant, bar, spa and circus in this one." He keeps the map facing anyone who wants to look at it. Finally he slowly looks over at Sorith. "I'm the tall one of the family."

Chrys introduces herself to the newcomers. "Chrysanthemum, at your service. That was my sibling, Baldan, that you crossed paths with. They weren't feeling well and had to return to the temple, but I will do my best to help fulfill our mission, so that I and they may go free again. For now, I will fly reconnaissance above, but your plan seems good to me, it has promise."

“Nice to meet you Chrysanthemum, I thought I saw Baldan in passing. Let’s sort out all of our other “roles to play” in this charade. By the time we get there, we’ll have everything worked out. But of course you know what they say about plans…”. Sinak trails off as they are walking. “A mop, perfect! I see it all coming together. Places to rest, gather, refresh, exchange things…”. He turns, and switches to gnomish, “Vrak, tell me what you know about casinos? Any inside information on this place that would help?”

"The dips are good. The staff were nice, all tieflings you know, but very nice. I wonder if they were all related or just trying to keep with a theme for a casino. A bit odd, imagine going for a job interview and being told, you're great but can you try being a tiefling. It's not like tieflings are that common or anything. The entrance is nice, all grand and stuff. We will need to catch a boat, but you can do that just down at the docks. I think that you can get rooms for the night, but they are pricey. You might need to win big to afford it. Lots of games there, probably best not to let the boy try until he washes off that bad luck of his. I guess you could always try entering the competition, they last a bit long for me though."

Elovar looks surprised that Falkas has turned his pike into a mop.
Elovar studies the map with interest: "Hm. A circus in addition to the casino and bar! Circus animals could be a large and chaotic diversion if they were to get into the main casino area. And there is a sort of canal running through the casino with a waterfall! It looks like the circus prep area could provide alternate access to the secure areas, but the only way to the casino vault is still through casino Security." He points at the map.
He asks the group, "Do we know whether the statue in question will be on display throughout the tournament? Or is it kept in the casino vault until the end of the tournament?"
Chrys introduces herself to the newcomers. "Chrysanthemum, at your service. That was my sibling, Baldan, that you crossed paths with. "Ah! A companion who can fly! That's another important asset for the job."
Elovar looks to 12, the only party member to whom he hasn't spoken, yet, and introduces himself.
Chrys can see the docks in the distance, probably about 3 miles away. They can also she signs of birds taking off in the distance, maybe signs of other Drakes. You don't think that this would be a safe place to rest.
“Let’s sort out all of our other “roles to play” in this charade. By the time we get there, we’ll have everything worked out. But of course you know what they say about plans…”. Sinak trails off as they are walking.
Elovar agrees, "Good idea, Sinak. As the generals say, 'No plan survives first contact with the enemy!' If we each know our role, then we'll hopefully be able to adjust to changing circumstances quickly."
He turns, and switches to gnomish, “Vrak, tell me what you know about casinos? Any inside information on this place that would help?”
"Assuming that we are successful and obtain the statue, what are we supposed to do next? That question is at least as important as how to obtain the statue in the first place, isn't it?", Elovar asks, looking around the group.
Elovar suggests Sinak to check with Vrak: "Sinak, could you ask the svirfneblin what provisions have been made for our return to the temple of Tymora in Tantras once we have the statue? We were sent here via a portal, but can the high priestess create a portal inside of the casino itself? Or do we have to get the statue out of the casino first?"
Lashaera announces "Well you all seem suitably well equipped, better than I was expecting to be honest from that pile of trash. The goddess must be favouring you, which bodes well for your task ahead. I will open a portal to a wilderness area a little way from the Afterlife Casino. Once you arrive, just make your way down to the docks, get a boat to the Afterlife Casino and steal that statue. When you have the statue, get out of the casino and Vrakhazar will contact me to open a portal and bring you back here. Any questions before I open the portal?”
Note that the OG party were all told the following.

Sinak nods to Elovar, saying to Vrek, “This communication with the high priestess, and the portal that can be made after the job is finished. Can it be made inside the casino? I thought that overheard before that the statue must get outside of the casino before the portal can be made and transported, but can you contact the priestess from inside the casino? From that, do you know if they have any “anti magic” barriers set up inside this casino? Also, do you know if this statue will be on display during the tournament, or will they keep it locked up and secure, hidden away? Have you seen this circus that they have, how many animals, any change to their routines then, perhaps?”

((OOC:)) She would've been fine with that, actually. Depending on the condition, she would've mad it made into a pendant later on, but it's okay!
I will let the roll carry over to the second Drake, then the tooth will have some of 12 on it :-)
