Chrys glances at the map. "Um,"she questions, "What's keeping some dwarf or some wizard tunnelling through that bit of stone from the outside, right into the vault?"
Vrakhazar basically seems like a nice old lady. It seems like the cookies and the hug are gestures to make everyone feel better after spending a night in the cells. Maybe she noticed Falkas communicating with his patron somehow.
Lashaera has a long discussion with Vrakhazar about the questions the party asks. Lashaera nods along seemingly impressed, she then relays the answers back to the party "Well, apparently Vrakhazar befriended one of the guards. She spent an evening asking the guard all about their work and then managed to piece together enough information to draw the map, well done Vrakhazar. So there are magical protections on the Vault, I assume alarms and reinforcements on the walls. Magical security mirrors throughout the casino project what they reflect onto twin mirrors in the security office. Doors to employee-only areas have bright-green trim and are magically locked. Getting into them might require an employee pass card. Also all the staff are tieflings, however some do speak Gnomish unlike others I could mention."
Hodon replies "You can have a look through the lost and found in the corner, plenty of stuff there. I doubt you will find any magic items but you never know what will turn up."
[OOC] Anyone who wants to look in the lost and found please say up to three items you are looking for and then roll a single investigation check. I will then say what you find. Obviously more basic items will be easier to find. Hodon will only let you look once each
Twelvesays, "Milady Lashaera, I believe that, as you can tell, our destiny now aligns with your intended course. I'm pleased that we can all work together, despite our former misunderstandings, to prevent the apocalypse. Your title is truly earned." Twelve bows deeply to her.
Upon receiving the cookie, Twelvebends down and says to Vrakhazar, "What a font of wisdom you must be! If only we all looked to our elders for guidance, the world would be a better place. Unless our elders were evil, of course. Then it all probably wouldn't work."
Twelvewalks up to Hodonand says, "You do well to forgive us, my friend. It demonstrates a grace that is often neglected in this world of ours. And to offer us help as well; you must truly be a great-hearted man. Would you happen to have access to somebracers of defense, a sturdy huntingnet, and some caltrops?"
Hondon replies "Yeah well, I do work for the goddess and all that, I have to do a Forgiveness and Humbleness course every year. Mandatory training you know." He gives Twelve a wink and says "Looks lucky over there"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Falkas wipes his mouth with the back of his hand to knock some crumbs out of his short beard and rolls up the map, slipping it under his belt as he smiles at Vrakhazar. Keener than she lets on I'd say, hmm. He walks up to Hodon when Twelve finishes looking around. "No hard feelings, right?" He clears his throat, "Mind if I go digging a bit?"He looks at the items for a Breastplate, Gloves of Thievery or some Thieves' Tools
While looking through items he says, "We gotta stake it out I think, see which guards carry specific passes or if they are all the same. Maybe someone can pretend to be a tiefling or Vrakhazar can introduce us to her friend. Oh what's this?" He bends down to pick something up.
"oooo goodies! I'd love some new gloves or shoes or even a nice cape for dramatic effect. Got any of those for a dashing rogue like myself Sir Hodon, lord of bread?" Shreyras chuckles in jest
Hodon's eye starts twitching and he says through gritted teeth "Hhhave a look yourself why don't you. And try not to cut yyyourrrself on anything sharp. Infact I saw all of that stuff in the stool bucket in the corner."
Baldan takes a deep breath and says "I'd like to take a peek in there as well..." And they sheepishly half point half move towards that lost and found box. They are hoping against hope to find some type of arcane grimoire or Wizard hat or even maybe some type of elven chain...
Lashaera announces "Well you all seem suitably well equipped, better than I was expecting to be honest from that pile of trash. The goddess must be favouring you, which bodes well for your task ahead. I will open a portal to a wilderness area a little way from the Afterlife Casino. Once you arrive, just make your way down to the docks, get a boat to the Afterlife Casino and steal that statue. When you have the statue, get out of the casino and Vrakhazar will contact me to open a portal and bring you back here. Any questions before I open the portal?”
