The Moore family are quite well known in the region. El knowns that run are a large band of mercenaries, some call them bandits, who are known for doing anything for money, not really caring about laws and being particularly brutal.
Falkas can remember the stories of a famous Half-Orc gladiator. Her original name is lost to history, but she was so successful that the crowds would chant “More, More, More”. After killing countless people in the pits, she became a mercenary and started her own company. The original Ms Moore has adopted many children, normally orphaned street urchins, over the years and trained them all to be fierce fighters. The Moores are known only to be loyal to each other and to whomever is currently paying them. There is a story of the Moore clan overthrowing a whole city and killing every member of the government after one of the Moore children was executed, the city was then left in the hands of an elected council and is actually now rather wealthy. The Moore company is still employed as the city watch.

"The Moore's are pretty dangerous if I recall, it's best we stay on their good side. The matriarch pulls urchins from the streets."Falkas grits his teeth a bit as he says that, "turning them into killers. Loyal ones at that. I believe they overthrew a city and are practically in control of it, no wonder one of them is here with a lot of money. Could be that we could bring her in on the heist if necessary, promising a payout to her and her family from the vault."

Sinak keeps eating his noodles with gusto and sipping on his coffee, turning to Falkas and says quietly. “Yeah, got a good look at it. Locked, Well’ard has the key, and there are runes protecting it as well. So, what is our play? Are we going to wait and see if Sorith can win it? She doesn’t seem too confident… but, the others seem a little - I don’t know, scared of her? Do you have any ideas? How are we gonna get this thing?” Sinak grins to himself at the name of the noodles. “Yep, they are pretty irresistible …“ he says to himself.
(OOC: For simplicity, I'll assume that Elovar was already with Falkas and Sinak as this conversation is happening.)
Elovar glances around to ensure that no one is eavesdropping on their conversation. (Perception21)
"Runes? Hm. Hopefully, the runes protect the cabinet itself, and we only need to open the lock to remove the statue. If you need an excuse to get the key and take out the statue, I could 'accidentally' spill something on the cabinet and then create a minor illusion to make it look like the spill somehow got behind the glass and on the statue. Once you have the statue, I could cast an illusion of the statue still in the cabinet to give us 1 minute to get out of the room and head toward the exit, but I do not have the skill to make a moving illusion. We'd have to figure out how to do the swap in a way that no one notices."
"But I'd also like to see whether we can make this little excursion more profitable for us. What do you think, too ambitious?"
Elovar briefly tosses out some ideas. With such a small crew, he doesn't think that they could do both parts simultaneously. They could take the statue first. Then, when most of the guards are focused on recovering the statue, maybe they could hit to the vault? But that seems like a good way to get trapped between Virgil and the guards.
Or, better, if they could somehow disable the guards in the monitoring room, they could swipe some things from the vault first -- not everything, just enough to pay for the boat and to make this job worth their while. Then, as soon as that's done, get the statue and get out. Hopefully, they'd be gone before anyone realizes that no one is monitoring the mirrors.
"The big problem -- literally -- is Virgil. I'm sure that he'd attack as soon as we take anything...or maybe even as soon as we enter the vault. We'd need a way to disable him. Or at least a way to defeat him quietly and without raising an alarm. If Well'ard knows, maybe I could charm it out of him?"
“I like the idea of spilling something on the cabinet and then making it appear like it got inside, need to clean the statue. We may want to roll with that. Taking the vault, that is a whole different matter. Very ballsy. I don’t know, that Virgil guy sounds tough. Perhaps if we had a little more help… or a big distraction. Keep thinking. I guess we are waiting to see how this game turns out, eh? Well, my “break time” is done, back to work. Let me know if you want to try that on the cabinet, it will allow me to get the key to it from Well’ard.” Sinak finishes the last of his noodles and coffee, starts to head to A7 to pick up a mop to go with his bucket. After that, he cleans and swabs periodically to keep up the act, continually circling back to the area.

OK. So Soirth is matching the current bet and not raising it.

Anaïs Bellefleur once again raises the bet by 100. They are getting more and more drunk. Everyone else just matches.
Sorith. Do you want to match the bet, raise it or fold. If not folding what card do you use?

Sorith matches the bet and plays the twelve from her hand.

Sorith remains silent as she places her final card, an eight, down and she keeps her gaze focused on her own hand.
