"Good idea,"Falkas replies before talking quieter, "I might cause a ruckus here shortly, see if one of you can get a closer look at the statue's case to see what kind of lock it is, if everyone is distracted by me one might get a chance to pick it. But be wary of traps, I'm unsure if this place would go that far, but you never trust richpeople."
(OOC: it's a little hard to track when everything is happening since we're posting asynchronously. I think that Sinak was at the trophy case while Falkas and Elovar were talking, and then Sinak was maybe talking to Vrakhazar while Sorith scared a few of the players out of the tournament.)
Before Falkas walks away, Elovar says quietly, "I can take another look at the case, but I've never picked a lock before. Maybe Sinak has a plan for getting into the case? I'll try to ask."
As Elovar makes his way over to the trophy case, he looks for a tiefling staff member who is already bringing in drinks for the guests in the tournament hall. He tries to get one's attention and asks politely, "Excuse me. What's on offer? Or is there a price list I could see? I'd like some refreshment while watching the tournament, but I want to make sure that I have plenty left for playing the tables later." He inquires what food is available for the tournament hall and asks about the prices for ale and wine.
After he finishes his order, Elovar will stop to talk to Chrys, especially if he sees that she's leaving. Once he finds out that 12 and Chrys are leaving, he'll head over to stand near the display case again.
Sinak notes the findings on the case and says to the guard as the card player storms off, “Well, that’s the whole thing. Quentin is no longer the boss here. TR wanted to see him, and by the size of the lines there, he’ll probably be there for 30 years or more. Ole Well’ard is in charge now. It’s all official. Anyway, make sure you are taking your break time. I’ll handle the water around here, a good clean up. Say uh, who could open up that container there? Like I said, I need to dust off that statue and polish it up, it looks filthy! You want to have confidence to present a worthy trophy to the game winner in the casino. What say you, do you have the key to open it? And I see there are some fancy dancy runes there too… anyway, just trying to do my job.”
Sinak waits for the response and reaction, then moves across the floor to where Chrys is sitting, points to 12 and says “Vrak says for you to get him the hell out of here, he’ll loose his shirt in this place, just a string of terrible luck going on here! Pull 12 away from that table, won’t you?” Sinak keeps weaving, makes his way around to Elovar and Falkas and whispers down low, “Bad news fellas, there are runes on the case guarding the treasure as well. Not just a simple lock. I’ll keep trying to look for openings. Any ideas?”
"Good luck with that."Falkas adds as Whipp walks away, folding his arms across his chest and making a quick glance around the room, especially to see what the others are doing at the moment and whether he should continue antagonizing things. "Your mother sounds very interesting."

(OOC:
Assuming that Elovar is there to hear Sinak's update about the runes, how he responds depends on whether the guard opened the case for Sinak or what the guard said about opening it. But the gist of Elovar's point will be that they should get the casino to open the case, if possible: "If you want to rob someone's house, you have to get in, take the loot, and then get out undetected. It's always better to get someone to invite you in first: that solves one of the problems for you."
"Mother is just Mother really. I don't know why everyone is so scared of her, she wouldn't harm a fly. I mean she has killed hundreds of people, but she is oddly fond of flies for some reason."

Sinak winds his way close to the table, dusting rag in hand. With a flourish of his hands and muttering under his breath, he taps Sorith on his shoulder, saying “Good luck, mate!” And goes on dusting, cleaning. Eyes on the table, assessing who is playing cards now, and their odds of winning (which seem low.). Aiming his voice to Elovar and Falkas, he says “Catch up with me at break, can have a snack and discuss whatever you like, eh?” Indicating with his head one of the tables where refreshments can be had. He winds his way in and out among the tables, nearby and within earshot.

Note that PC cannot affect the actual card (dice rolls) in the game. But enhance ability and guidance can be used for insight checks to determine who is bluffing or deception / intimidation checks to put off other NPC players. Other PC's in the room can join in to a certain extent.

"Interesting," Sorith replies to Jetta with a nod and a bit of a smirk, only to blink when Sinak walks past and taps her shoulder. "I don't know what I'm doing, but thanks."
She looks around, noticing that a good number of people had dropped out after her outburst, but that's what that jerk deserved for being mouthy. "Soooo... who's ready for the next round?" she asks, doing the best she can to pay attention to the other players' responses.
Insight: 9 (6 with a +3 from Guidance. Welp, I wasted that...)

(In particular, Elovar wanted to anonymously send ale to Anaïs Bellefle and get something for himself to snack on (maybe a red wine and a light snack). Just waiting to find a server and find out prices.)
The Tiefling continues "We offer a wide range of drinks at the bar. The price depends on the drink. We have a bitter ale called Brimstone Gulp, its 1cp per mug"

Elovar is pleased, "Perfect! Thank you." Elovar orders the pan-fried fungi and an ale for himself.
"I also love how Anaïs Bellefleur is playing today. I'd like to send them an ale, too. Actually, let me be generous. Could you just make sure that Bellefleur's mug is never more than half-empty as long as they're still in the tournament? Just...don't tell them who sent it: if anyone asks, just say that 'it's from a fan.' I've learned my lesson! I wouldn't want an overprotective partner or spouse to take a friendly gesture the wrong way."
Elovar gives the server 4 sp, which should cover the food and drinks and is hopefully enough of a tip that the server follows his instructions.
