After listening for a bit, Sorith goes back to Falkas and Sinak. "There's two people on the other side along with what sounds like large animals," she says quietly, or at least as quietly as she can for a big dragonborn, anyway. "Sooo... ideas?"
"Well we could use our keycard or just knock and trick them into opening the door." Falkas grins holding up his mop and deepens his voice, "We gotta clean up the animal dung, let us in."

Sinak says “Ok, ok, let’s give it a go. Follow my lead, I’m gonna act like you are two other new hires and I’m showing you around. If we have the chance, look for the opportunity to handle the situation, knock them out if you know what I mean. Ok, and three, two, one… go!” Sinak casts guidance on himself, then walks forward to the door, using the key card. As he does so, he says the following.
“And I haven’t even been down here yet. I imagine we have our work cut out for us. Did you guys bring the mop? I’ve got my bucket here, let me just get some water…. Oh hello. Don’t worry about us, hear about the cleaning. A good evenin to ya.” Sinak looks around and evaluates the room quickly, looking for the source of the voices.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Casino pays in coins and El can reserve a small boat, please update your sheet.
Elovar found a very cheap boat for just 20 gp, but that crew seemed less trustworthy, like they might just take the money and leave. He kept looking and checking prices until he found a boat at the far end of the docks that costs 40 gp to reserve. Elovar knows that it'll be a little farther to run to this boat (if they have to run), but he figures that if they can get to the boat, it should be able to shove off and get away a little faster. He pays 5 gp to reserve it.
(OOC: character sheet updated.)
Douala replies "Well I like to keep my hand in my old friend. And to be honest my lady does find it exciting when I win. Please join us, the next round is on me. I am on a winning streak"
Douala puts up 10 gold for El to join the next round (I will just do this as rollies. So please roll 1d20)
(OOC: 10 gp for him to play with? Or is 10 gp the ante?
Is it just a single 1d20 roll per round? I'm not too concerned about the game itself since Elovar's focus is really on trying to get his friends' help with translating Infernal. I'm happy with whatever works for you to keep the card game from dragging out too long.)
Elovar joins the next round: 14
"Thank you. That's very generous of you," Elovar says, sitting down next to Douala. Then he adds, with a self-deprecating laugh, "Of course, since you usually beat me, I guess you'll probably win it right back! May Tymora be on my side for once!"
"I'm here to give the animals a check up, especially the cute little ponies if you have any," Sorith adds with a single nod before she jerks a thumb in Falkas's direction. "Your brother has the mop."
The two animal trainers are a pair of Kobolds, who are arguing among themselves. One has a very outrageous top hat and the other has a rather impressive whip.
Top hat says "Oh cleaners that is good, I didn't think we were getting cleaners any more, after what kept happening"
Whip would reply "Oh yes, I mean I guess that technically the lions cleaned up afterwards so they were sort of cleaners"
Top hat "Yes and it did save on food"

This room smells like hay and musk. Three crates rest on the floor in one corner, and a portable cage on rollers sits beside them. Floor-to-ceiling bars form two larger cages against the north wall. A wooden chest sits against the east wall near the biggest cage. Resting on the lid of the chest is a ring of keys.
You see two baboons in one cage, one lion in another cage and one lion in the portable cage.

The Kobold with the Top Hat replies "We should give you the safety briefing. Very important safety briefing"
The Kobold with the whip says "Yes, never open a cage with an animal inside it. And keep the outer door closed, so if they do escape then only you die"
Top Hat nods at this. "Yep. That is everything. We are going for snacks. You want any snacks?"
Douala does indeed win and pockets 40gp from all the players. He turns to El "Guess you are still my lucky charm"
Elovar was never a good card player, but even a great player wouldn't have been able to do much with that last hand. Elovar says ruefully, "Just like old times! It reminds me of those days at court: card games, passing along messages...there was even that one time when I intercepted a letter. Er...wait...maybe that didn't involve you. I don't remember, Douala, do you read Infernal?"
While he waits for Douala's answer, Elovar gets out his money pouch and weighs it in his hand, contemplating playing another with his own gold.
“Righto, sounds simple enough.” Sinak begins picking up, cleaning up, going through the motions. “Have fun up there and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do…”. He waits until their footfalls have receded away and then winks at Falkas and Sorith, saying “Ok, how do we want to do this? I didn’t have a trampling or goring on my agenda for the night, how should we proceed?”

"It is a good idea Sorith, what do you think Sinak? We gotta get this show on the road pretty soon, but that's all I've got."Falkas glances back where the workers went.

Sorith gives a nod to the others before she approaches the cages holding the lions. "Hi, kitties. We're not here to hurt you, I promise. We're here to get you guys out."
The lions are tame beasts and automatically respect Sorith's size, power and the size of her teeth. The look at her with interest, and don't appear to be overly aggressive.
Sorith smiles, giving a nod towards the lions before she turns her attention over to the baboons in order to look them both over as well. "Hi, you two. Would you like to go on an adventure with us?"
