Eolie eyes Fergus askance.  "If nothing else, he can take an arrow or two for the rest of us," he replies.

The man reaches down and searches through a cabniet before taking out 4 glass cylinders with a a blood red liquid splashing around in each of them. "Ill charge you half for all of them. These four Ill charge you only 100 gp."

Deltoro turns to his companions and whispers "I am assuming we do not have enough gold for those vials."

Eolie approaches the counter, smiling up at the man with his most charming smile.

"My good man. Anyone can see you work hard for your coin and I would be the last to keep even a copper from your pockets, and I know my companions feel the same." The halfling sorcerer gestures at the others.  "Alas, for both you and us, we have not that much gold. But, what we have is yet more valuable than gold.  If you will listen to a humble halfling. As I am sure you know, your fair city is beset by bandits and we," again he gestures at the others, "have accepted the commission of your good mayor to rid your town of those loathsome outlaws. Those same outlaws who have killed and raped and plundered the good citizens of Dusseldorf, aye, and travelers, even merchants too.  Who knows how much custom they have kept from your shop. Now, I know, having met the man personally, that he would be only too grateful if you could let us have those potions," Eolie examines the potions carefully. "which will be used to keep us healthy as we deal with the bandit scum, for only 40 gold."  He stresses the word 'grateful' just enough and again he turns to the others and gestures to Deltoro to speak in support before turning back to the counter

ooc: Trying to get the Help action for any roll (what roll should I do).  Also, was thinking about using Distort Value to make the potions look less valuable but the spell description seems to say it can only be used on a single object.  Do you agree, DM?

Deltoro says as he now gestures for the rest of his companions to try and convince the alchemist to accept the proposition.

Drake pulls up his sleeve to flex his very unimpressive ghostly thin arms and slowly lift his outstretched arm up. As he does this, one of the potion bottles begins to levitate up along with the arm raising.

”you see, we have great strength and are quite reliable!” Drake nods gleefully.

ooc: shape water cantrip moving 5 feet up. 

The small man walks by the wall of water unimpressed but Elioes words seem to have struck a cord. “I’ll give it to you for 10 gps now you can pay me back later.”

Eolie gives him another radiant smile.  "Thank you, good sir."  He turns to his companions.  "I've got 10. How about you?"

ooc: I'm assuming that's 10 each.

Fergus has 10 if it is per potion

Drake shakes his head and passes over his ten gold.

He takes the 10 gp and gives you one health potion and says “come on now don’t you want the other one? It’s 10 gps each.”

ooc: I believe we've ponied up 30 gold so far, 10 each from Eolie, Fergus and Drake.

Also he gives you both potions and throws in another for good luck on the house

"Thank you, good sir!" Deltoro says as he exits the alchemist shop. "Well I suppose we should head out for the bandit camp at first light."
